"Sirius. What are you doing out here?"
"You don't like thunderstorms" was Sirius' only response as he made no move to stand up from the bench on Severus' front porch.
Severus stood there staring at him for Merlin knows how long, waiting for him to continue before Sirius shrugged and looked up at him with his puppy dog eyes "I figured if I sat by your door, you'd be less afraid because you weren't alone"
Severus sighed. "okay. as sweet as that is, I didn't know you were here, sooo how was that supposed to help me feel better?"
"See but I am here, and you're not alone. so now you can feel safe"
"Yes. Okay, BUT. how was I supposed to feel safe before if I didn't know anyone was here?"
"Well I was giving off supportive and protective boyfriend vibes and stuff so you'd feel all safe and taken care of, you know?"
Severus took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose "You were giving off protective vibes?"
The only thing Severus could feel were dumbass vibes and a little bit of a headache.
Sirius nodded and smiled at him "Did you feel the protective energy I was sending you? I didn't want to disturb you in case you were somehow sleeping through the thunder."
Severus let out a breath and looked deep into Sirius' bright and honest eyes, he felt all his annoyance leave him at once.
Well, almost all of it.
Sirius' smile seemed to grow thinking he might have been successful.
He loved Sirius' smile...his whole face lit up, and you could see his big white teeth between his pink, puffy lips. Sirius was just so damn beautiful with his sharp cheekbones, hard body, and perfect hair...it was unfair how hard it was to stay mad or annoyed at Sirius and his gorgeous face and his perfect body despite his ridiculousness.
Maybe Severus was being too harsh on him.
Sirius was a dream of a boyfriend who was lovely, romantic, and loyal.
With the most sinful mouth.
Just the right amount of possessiveness.
Plus, he was academically gifted.
also gifted with a magic dick.
despite being kind of a himbo in all other aspects of life.

But so romantic...also his dick really was magic.
Severus sighed again, this time with his whole body.
"No, can't say that I did. you're really only giving off dumbass vibes Siri." Severus turned around and began to walk back inside.
" just come in"
It was quite tragic how hopelessly in love he was with this dunderhead.
Severus pulled his wand and wordlessly dried off his ridiculous boyfriend before he took his hand and led him upstairs.
As they lay down, Sirius got a smug look on his face. "So how'd you know I was at your house if you didn't feel my protective and supportive vibes?"
"wait, you think I knew to open the door and find you because I somehow 'felt your vibes'?" Severus started laughing before he even dropped his hands
Severus laughed so hard at the confused look on Sirius' face that he almost fell off the bed.
"The lady across the street said a man who looks like a model is sitting on my porch. she thought you might have been hired to kill me."
Sirius scoffed.
Severus let out one final snort and continued, "But Mrs. Hopper thinks everyone is a murderer, including me."
Severus paused and narrowed his eyes. "which she's right about, so don't take it too personally, babe."
He shrugged and kissed Sirius' nose quickly.
As they stretched out to lay down in Severus' bed Sirius pressed a few kisses to the back of his head.
Severus preened under his boyfriend's attention.
Severus would never admit it out loud, but he hoped Sirius knew that his arms were the only home Severus would ever need
"I love you Sev, goodnight"
"you are tolerable at times, Sirius. Silence will make you more tolerable."
Sirius laughed his barking laugh, and Severus felt his lips twitch upwards slightly as he closed his eyes.
' I love you, you big idiot - only you, only ever you, Siri' was his last thought as he drifted off to sleep.
He slept wonderfully that night despite the thunderstorms, safe in Sirius' arms.
At least his big, strong, protective, supportive, dumbass boyfriend was good for something.
