Age regression (Harvest)
One on one dates… they’d had them before, a lot. But this time? It was different… Harvest felt alone… Scythe was out with Ruin, normal enough, and yet… they felt wrong… small… almost dizzy… They sat in a corner, away from all the sounds. It was loud… and bright… they pulled their hood over their eyes, retreating further into the corner. It was safer in the corner… wasn’t it…?
“Harvest?” The voice caught them by surprise as they looked up, seeing Lunar. He looked worried… they clung onto him tightly, though they didn’t quite understand why… maybe he knew? He pulled them closer, holding them securely.
“You ok?”
…they didn’t know…
“Do you feel… small?”
…that sounded right. They nodded. Lunar seemed to smile a bit, wrapping them up in a blanket.
“C’mon, I’ll let Earth know, and we’ll make some brownies, ok Vessy?” Their eyes might’ve been sparkling… eh, who cares. Brownies! They could hear another voice… or were there multiple-? They couldn’t tell. Their mind was already hooked on BROWNIES.
“Well, they seem entranced. They’re watching the brownies bake!” Lunar had to hold back a snicker at Earth’s comment.
“Yep, they do that. I’m surprised you’ve never encountered littles, Earth!” Earth smiled, watching Harvest to make sure they weren’t too close to the oven.
“Maybe they’re just good at hiding from me-”
“Maybe.” Lunar sighed, checking his phone. “Ruin’s on his way back with Scythe… finally.”
“Maybe people were pestering them? That happens a lot…”
“Yea… probably.”
A calm silence fell over them, both watching Harvest, making sure they wouldn’t hurt themself.
...
“...Earth?”
“Yes, Lunar?”
“...I want you to watch what I do with Harvest when they’re like this…” Earth looked down at Lunar, confusion radiating off her.
“Is there a reason?”
“Well…” Lunar sighed. “You might have to fill in as their caregiver if I’m not there… Ruin’s still clueless… so he’d need help… are you willing to do that?” A smile spread across Earth’s face, and she looked back at Harvest, who’d fallen asleep.
“Of course… I’d love to help…” She gently scooped Harvest into her arms, making them nice and comfy on her lap and wrapping a blanket around them. Lunar smiled as well, sitting with Earth.
Hopefully they could sleep it off…
