sign of weakness
Summary
Narcissa vowed not to cry.

“...I just know that it will happen this month,” Bellatrix rambled in Narcissa’s ear, clearly mistaking the blonde for someone who was paying attention. Usually, she was more willing to fake interest in Bellatrix’s ramblings, but that moment, Narcissa felt distinctly off. “Tommy and I have been using the charm to track my cycles.”

She blinked. “Bellatrix, who the hell is Tommy?” The last thing she’d known, Bellatrix was mooning over the Dark Lord while her husband was sat uselessly beside her at the dinner table.

Bellatrix giggled. “The Dark Lord, silly.”

“You and Lord Voldemort are planning a baby?”

The nursery was darkened, covered in dust. Narcissa vowed not to cry. Tears were a sign of weakness. Certainly not to be indulged by Lucius while her Manor was used as the Dark Lord’s playground.

Her husband has found her.

“Narcissa–”

“I try not to dwell,” she muttered. “Sometimes it’s just…difficult.”

“Has something happened?”

“Bellatrix is planning to have the Dark Lord’s baby.”
