“Potter!” Draco called after him. Harry sighed and rolled his eyes and turned around. Draco was walking towards him at a very fast pace and an angry expression on his face.
“I’m really not in the mood for this Dr-”
“Save it.” Draco said, pulling his boyfriend into the nearest broom closet. Harry went along with him, knowing what this conversation was going to be about. He was not happy. Either of them.
“Draco please can we not do this right now, I just want to go to sleep.” Harry said with an exasperated sigh.
“Well we all have wants, Potter. I want to know why your name just got pulled out of the goblet of fire.” Draco with his arms crossed, facing Harry. Harry frowned and sighed again.
“I don’t know.” Harry mumbled. Draco huffed a laugh.
“So it just magically appeared there? I don’t believe it for a second.” Draco said. Harry rolled his eyes, anger spreading across his cheeks.
“I’m telling you the truth, I wouldn’t lie to you, Draco.” Harry said more confidently. Draco dropped his arms.
“Then how did it happen? You can only put your name in the goblet if you're over 17, last time I checked you aren't Potter, so spill it. If you don’t tell me how-”
“What? What will you do?” Harry growled, stepping a little closer to Draco. Draco paused, thinking about his next words. He opened his mouth, but Harry beat him to it.
“I don’t care. If you don’t believe me, fine, don’t. I didn’t put my name in the goblet, and as my boyfriend you should trust me. Why are you being such an idiot about this?” Harry said.
“Because I fucking care, Harry! I am your boyfriend and I am begging you to not go into this death trap!” Draco said, his eyes filling with tears and cheeks becoming a little more red. Harry shut his mouth and felt his heart beating in his ears.and he swallowed. Draco's gaze fell to the floor.
“Draco, I can’t just walk away.” Harry said quietly. Draco put his hands over his eyes, rubbing them a bit and cleared his throat.
“I know.” Draco said, dropping his hands. “I know.”
There was a moment of silence and they looked at eachother. Green eyes meeting Silver. Harry relaxed and frowned a bit. Harry walked to Draco and grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers. He stared at their fingers for a while.
“I’m just worried.” Draco admitted in a small voice. It wasn’t a secret to Harry that Draco didn’t like to be vulnerable or share his feelings. Harry looked back up at Draco and into his eyes.
“I know, and it’s okay. I’m going to be careful, alright?” Harry said. Draco’s eyes filled with tears again, but made no protest to cover them again.
“Promise?” He said. Harry smiled and nodded, a few hairs falling into his eyes.
“I promise.” Harry swore. That was all Draco needed. He leaned in and kissed Harry. Harry got butterflies like the first time he ever kissed Draco months ago, and he was sure they were not going anywhere anytime soon. Draco pulled back with tears standard cheeks. Harry smiled a little and wiped the rest of the tears with his thumbs.
“You speak of this to anyone and I’ll hex you.” Draco warned. Harry just laughed.
“I won’t.”
A few days later, as Harry was approaching the tent to get ready for the dragons, Draco stopped him, giving him a bone-crushing hug. Draco said his good lucks and what he wanted to say, and Harry felt ready.
“Scared, Potter?” Draco said with a smirk, his hands still on Harry’s cheeks. Harry smiled a little and kissed him. After a few seconds he pulled away.
“You wish.” Harry said, giving Draco a wink and going into the tent.
He wasn’t scared because he knew when he defeated this dragon, Draco would be waiting for him.
