Christmas Holidays

This morning Lorelei was happy, she started the day with herbology, her favorite subject. So even if it has been freezing since the beginning of December, she happily walked toward the greenhouse Daphne and Theo behind her.

"How could you not be shivering Leia? It's bloody too cold." Complained Theodore Nott while shaking his gloves together.

"You should know it by now Theo, she's nuts." Giggled the blonde thinking about how their friend was planning on swimming in the Black Lake when it gets warmer.

"First of all I'm not crazy. And secondly I'm not cold because I just have a cape with a warming charm on it." Explained the girl, her green eyes full of malice.

"Should have thought about it." Said Theodore disappointed in his own lack of planning.

"I'll ask uncle Sirius. That way it's gonna stay after the first wash." Lorelei offered with a smile to her best friends. "For you as well Daphne."

"But we haven't bought them at Black couture: wizard and muggle clothes!" Admitted Daphne to her friend.

"I can still try. I'll give him puppy eyes!" Giggled Lorelei as they arrived at their class.

Today's lesson was about the Alihotsy and their use for potions making. The plant looked like some kind of Monstera. The house plant her primary school friend Dona had in her living room. But as Professor Sprout explained, touching the leaves with bare hands will give you uncontrollable laughter.

The exercise consisted of extracting the antidote out of the plant. The operation was going well on her side till Ronald Weasley, her twin's best friend, messed up the exercise ending up laughing hysterically.

The teacher had to administer the antidote to the boy in order to stop the laughing.

"Told you to be careful, Weasley." Said the high pitch voice of a curly haired girl next to him.

"Shush you Granger!" Screamed the Gryffindor to the poor girl.

"Come on Ron." Answered Harry softly, trying to appease the situation.

"It's not my fault, the girl's a nightmare." Complained the Gryffindor.

"Weasley I won't permit this kind of language in my classroom. 10 points from Gryffindor!" Screamed the professor to the little boy who seemed very much phased by the repercussions of his statement.

After that incident the class finished in total silence.

At the end of the hour Ron stormed out of the room, Harry and Neville following. In the meantime Lorelei approached the girl with curly hair who seemed alone.

"Hi, Hermione. Is it? I'm Lorelei La Guivre. Care to walk to charm class with me?" Offered the girl, her emerald eyes twinkling with glee, a warm smile accompanying it. Theo and Daphne waited, not knowing what had their friend in mind.

"Morning... Why are you offering me? I thought pureblood Slytherin didn't acknowledge muggles born like me?" Stated Granger in a cold tone, looking at the girl with defiance.

"First Hogwarts student of the family. Never knew how it works and that way I'll finally be able to talk rock music with someone. Plus my mother would kill me if I judged people on their blood status" Explained the Slytherin while gesturing the trail to the castle.

Hermione didn't know what to do with the girl's proposition. She was a Slytherin, whose mother was the representative of the European Coven, according to her history book. So why would a girl like her with friends from house Nott and Greengrass talk to her?

"What do you think about our last charm test Granger?" Asked Theo, after all the red girl was as smart as him, she would be understanding his concerns.

"Euh… Well a bit too short if you ask me." Explained the girl with a very small voice, ready to be told otherwise.

"That's what I thought as well." Answered the boy with a smile. At those words Lorelei and Daphne side-eyed Nott.

"You two are nuts, who would like to have a longer test. But let's get going, we're almost late." Reminded Daphne before going her way.

Once in front of the classroom Hermione was laughing with the Slytherin because the girl had explained to them what rubber ducks were.

"Who would have thought a Nott could like a muggle born, I thought you hunted them for sport in your clan." Spat Ron, still angry at the Gryffindor girl.

"And I thought the Weasleys were not as clannish as the other wizard families. You're not the only one disappointed today." Answered Lorelei without thinking, annoyed by the ginger boy attitude.

"Ron please, could you stop fighting my twin. For my sake." Tempered Harry, once again trying not to have to choose between his family and his new friend.

"You shouldn't have to calm him down Harry. He is just an idiot." Explained the blonde, apologetic for her twin. How could he support the other one all day long she wondered.

"I might be one but at least my friends won't turn into black wizards." Added Ron as he drew his wand, to the girl, not caring about his friend's demand.

"Expleliarmus!" Screamed the boy, missing Lorelei from little, instead hurting Daphne in the process.

"How dare you!" Said Theodor outraged, nobody hurts his friends. He drew his wand as well but didn't curse the boy. The La Guivre girl did it instead.

"Muffliato!" Stated Lorelei before throwing other spells, Ronald had to get his lesson. "Multicorfors! Crinus Muto!" With those spells the boy ended up deaf, his uniform turned into a Slytherin one and his hair turned beach blonde straight and shoulder length. "Now he looks like your sibling, since you seem to like him more than me." She expressed annoyed at her brother who looked at his twin, speechless, as she walked past him, entering the classroom.

For the next days the twins wouldn't talk to each other. Harry outraged by his sister's reaction and Rory angry because Rhys didn't side with her.

The Hogwarts express ride was even worse. Harry had invited Ron for a whole 10 days because Mr. and Mrs. Weasley would go to Romania, to see one of their sons, Charlie, or something like that. She'll have to share her house with him. Just the thought of it made her want to stay in the castle but Daphne had promised she would be more than welcome at the Greengrass mansion. And Theodor did promise the same.

But as she exited the train, all her troubles vanished when she saw her parents.

"Maman, papa !" Shouted Lorelei as she rushed in the arms of a middle aged tall and tanned blonde woman in muggle work suits.

"Morning chaton. What have you done of that twin of yours?" Asked Margot, already guessing her daughter's answer.

"With Ronald." She admitted defeated, she really didn't like the boy.

"Don't care about this idiot, you got me!" Explained Daphne from behind her friend. "Oh… and mom that's the girl I was talking about." She added, looking at an adult version of the young Greengrass. Same honey blonde hair, same dark blue eyes and same smile. That was almost unsettling to the girl.

"Please to finally meet you Lorelei La Guivre. My daughter keeps praising you in her letters." Said the mother with a distant but warm smile.

"Pleasure to meet you as well Mrs. Greengrass. " Answered the girl in a polite tone, a wide smile stuck on her face. She wanted to add something but another familiar voice stopped her.

"Hey dragon heart, nymphie didn't you forget to say goodbye to someone!" Explained Theo with an enthusiasm his friends rarely had the chance to hear.

"How could we forget you, brainey." Jokingly said Daphne, while ruffling the boy's hair. Rory agreed, before stick her tongue out.

"Papa, this is Theodore Nott, one of my best friends." Explained the French witch. Mr. La Guivre observed the young Slytherin before offering a hand, that the boy shook with force. "Why are you so happy Theo? Not that I don't appreciate, just wondering."

"Dad is at a resort for his rheumatism. I'll be staying home with my aunt. She just told me." Said the boy with a grin so wide it pained the two first years. They both knew lord Nott was an old school wizard who didn't like many things, aside from pureblood and maybe his wife. According to their friend he never showed much interest in his own son, aside from being angry at his mistakes.

"Oh and where is she?" Wondered Mrs. Greengrass, concerned for the young boy.

"She's there with the woman with the long, curly brown hair." He gestured a woman who looked just like his aunty, but she couldn't be her. That woman was clearly pregnant, but aunty Lia wasn't. The other woman had jet black shoulder length straight hair and a very tanned skin.

"Marselina Shafiq?" Questioned Margot with a puzzled look on her face.

"Yep, do you know her from the ministry?" Asked Theo, after all his aunt was the last member of his family, and as such she represented House Shafiq during the Wizenmagot meetings.

"Yes and no." Answered maliciously Obéron. He didn't have time to explain himself in detail, as Harry ran towards them, almost screaming.

Lorelei realized he had his "I know someone awesome!"

"Uncle Sirius and aunt Cornelia are having a baby!" Shouted the boy. Lorelei was looking at her twin in disbelief. She knew he might believe it was true, but that didn't make any sense. Why would their aunt, who already has three children, the youngest one being ten, choose to age another one now.

"So you discovered it." Said Tyran right behind the boy, an enormous smile that could rival Theo's, stuck on his face.

The group flinched, not realizing he was behind them, which made the boy smile even more.

"How long has it been?" Wondered Lorelei out loud, looking at her cousin with curiosity.

"Four months." Answered the third year bluntly before being interrupted by a familiar angry voice.

"Come on Black, just come to play quidditch with me one day, I'll be at Lee's house."

"Frederick Gideon Weasley, leave me the fudge alone or I will bat-bogey hex you out of the country!" Roared Hemera at a Fred who had his hand on her shoulder.

Wrong move buddy, thought the boy with auburn hair, his lovely sister had never been a very touchy person, when she offered you a hug that meant the world. He had to save the poor boy before Emma started to put her threat into motion.

"Fred!" Said the boy, waving at the ginger. "Now that the cat out of the bag, I have to introduce you to my adoptive father: Sirius 'the grim of the pitch' Black." He explained as he gestured a tall man with raven colored hair and crystalline eyes, a smug on his face.

Fred, intrigued, as he was often, left Hemera before following his roommate.

Emma, knowing what Ty was doing for her, mouthed a silent 'thank you' before walking to the other group, her eyes still ready to hex whoever tried to comment on what happened.

"So you heard the good news." She said with a practiced smile, changing the subject.

"Yep." Said Harry.

"Do you know the gender?" Asked Daphne, she really liked the girl, since she was their mentor in the school and wanted to please her and to make sure she knew she was appreciated.

"A little girl. Dad thinks of calling her Theia, another goddess of light. Apollo is so happy." She said before realizing what words just got out of her mouth.

"Did your mom adopt another lost wizard?" Thought Harry. His aunt was always helping people around her.

"Something like that." Answered Margot, a knowing smile on her face. She didn't want to spoil such a lovely revelation.

"By the way, Rhys, where did you leave your friend? I don't see this idiot anywhere." Said Daphne plainly.

"Language young lady." Answered Mrs. Greengrass, outraged by her daughter's attitude.

"Yep, where's Ronny whinny?" Completed Theo with a mischievous expression, hoping that Harry had lost the ginger.

"Oh, oh…" realized Harry. "I left him with Miss Longbottom and Neville. I have to get him!" He explained before running out.Once out, everyone, Mrs. Greengrass, started laughing.
