Chapter 6

They all made it to potions class on tike, with 5 minutes to spare. The group found a table too all share as they started talking as professor slughorn welcomed the group. Severus smiled as he brought out his potions book from his bag, as the group all looked at his book they started reading in the 5 spare minutes they had.
They all stopped reading as they heard other students walk into potions class, Sirius, James, peter and Lily all walked into the classroom as they found a table to sit at, the only table open was the one by the group of Severus, Remus, Rusty, and RoseMary.
They glared at the group as Rusty glared back at them, Severus on the other hand waved at lily with a smile on his face, lily had faked a smile as she waved at Severus.
Professor Slughorn started talking about random stuff that the group could not care about, besides Severus who seemed to love this class.
The group zoned back in when Severus stood up.
"huh?" Muttered RoseMary, confused.
The other two also zoned back in as they stared at Severus, who was grabbing items for a potion or something.
'hm, what's happening? why is Severus getting random shit? did we miss something important?' Rusty thought inside his head as he continued to look at Severus.
A couple minutes later and Severus was back. He opened the potions book as he flipped to page, to a forgetfulness potion. The ingredients Severus had gathered consisted of, Lethe River Water, 2 Valerian springs, 2 already measures of Standard Ingredient and 4 mistletoe berries.
"what is all of this sev?" RoseMary questioned, looking down at the table, that was now full of random ingredients. Severus looked up at RoseMary from his book, staring at her with cold, almost emotionless eyes before he looked back down at his potions book.
"it's a group project.." Severus muttered under his breath as he started reading his book quietly. The group stared at him as the waited for him to talk.
"okay! so we add... 2 drops of the Lethe River Water..." Severus said as he looked over at RoseMary. She nodded her head as she poured 2 drops into the cauldron.
"Gently heat the Water for 20 seconds..." he muttered as the group listened intently.
"Remus, add 2 Valerian springs to the cauldron.." Severus said as 20 seconds went by. Remus listened as he gently added the ingredient to the cauldron. Severus stirred it 3 times, clockwise as they all stare down at the potion.
They looked at Severus as he waved his wand. Severus waved his wand signaling Professor Slughorn over.
"my my! I've never seen such a perfect potion! 5 points to Slytherin, ravenclaw and Hufflepuff!" Slughorn said in a high pitched voice. "come see me after class too finish this beauty of a potion!" as he said that, a loud bang eroupted, professor slughorn looked over and saw that James, Sirius, peter, and lily's potion had exploded somehow.
Everyone in the class laughed at the as they were rushed to madam promfry.
"atleast it wasn't us..." Rusty joked out as he tried to not laugh. But RoseMary had also bursted out laughing as she saw the group cry out in pain.
"guys, stop" was all Severus had to say as Rusty and RoseMary quieted down. Slughorn dismissed class early, the whole class cheered as everyone packed up.
The group all walked around in the hall for, 45 minutes before they walked back into the potions classroom.
"ah! my best students! I was just thinking you guys would never come back!" Professor Slughorn said as he ushered the group over to there potion.
Severus pulled out his potions book again as he started giving out intructions.
"Rusty, add 2 measures of Standard Ingredient to the mortar" Severus said, not even looking up from the book. Rusty nodded his head as he added the Ingredient.
"RoseMary, add 4 mistletoe berries to the mortar..." Severus continued as RoseMary did as told. Severus crushed it into a medium-fine powder using the pestle as he continued to read the book.
He nodded his head, adding 2 pinches of the crushed mixture to the cauldron. He smiled as he continued to read the book.
"Remus, stir 5 times, counter clockwise.." Severus ordered as he looked Remus in the eyes. Remus listened to the order as he stirred the potion 5 times.
When Remus finished, Severus grabbed out his wand. Waving it, completing the potion for the group. They all looked down at the potion as it turned orange in color, they all looked up at professor slughorn as they smiled.
"20 points to each of you! this is the best forgetfulness potion a first year has ever made!" At that, the group smiled as they gave eachother thumbs up.
