New Emerging Threats
During all those battle for the fate of the universe took place, a massive spaceship was sailing through the darkness of the space. Inside the ship, a painful scream was heard as a Green Lantern was tied to a torture machine that had cables attached to his head. The torturers, who all had green skin and devilish look, watched in pleasure as the Green Lantern, Simon Baz, screamed in agony.
“Give up, lantern. Your allies have forsook you. They will never save you from us”, one of them told Simon.
“The Green Lantern Corps... don’t surrender...”, Simon retorted weakly, since he was damaged greatly by his tormentors.
“Your will does not matter now. You could never win. Now, thanks to the knowledge in your mind. We now know how to gain trust from Earth’s civilians and conquer them from within. Now surrender, and we will let you live”, another one spoke.
“Never...”, Simon declared, even though he was dying from all the torture he had went through. As Simon spoke his word, one of the torturers grabbed Simon and tossed him into the blackness of space, as others smirked at the likely demise of the Earth lantern.
“Why did you not rip him apart?”, one of them asked the one who tossed Simon into space.
“Killing him would be a waste our energy. And if the ring knows we killed him, the ring could give its next wielder a warning. That is why I wanted him to die slowly as his ring runs out of power. In that way, the ring would not be able to preserve his memory”, the one explained.
“Now that we have knowledge of Earth, and with our disguise ability, we will conquer them, Emperor Kl’rt”, another one spoke.
“We must thank Carol Danvers for foolishly believing that Kree was the one who oppressed us, and we were powerless victims. Talos had done so well deceiving Danvers and her fellow humans. Thanks to her, Kree no longer has power over us, and the Skrull Empire will rise again! And to repay our debt, we will conquer Earth first!”, Kl’rt declared. The Skrull soldiers chanted for their leader as roars were heard in the spaceship, save for one with an uneasy expression.
Meanwhile, Simon Baz had floated in space, awaiting his very death. He knew what he had to do. He needed to warn the next wielder of his ring about the Skrulls coming to Earth. He gave his ring one last order.
“Ring, preserve all my memory, and when your next wielder finds you, warn them about the Skrulls. We cannot let them conquer Earth...”, Simon ordered in a weak tone. The green lantern ring quickly obliged, and soon, all of Simon Baz’s memories were transferred to the lantern ring. Content with the results, Simon took the ring from his finger and sent the ring away. As the ring left him, Simon felt himself being suffocated, only for a few moments as another spaceship took him. As Simon Baz was now without the ring, he could not resist the spaceship, and was kidnapped again. From the spaceship, a female alien in a black outfit smirked at what her ship retrieved. She smirked evilly as her green eyes took a look at her hostage.
“Do not worry... I won’t let you die unlike the Green Lanterns who abandoned you. Now, you will see true light”, Blackfire smirked as she tied Simon Baz to a brainwashing machine. Simon was already unconscious, and the machine started to fire sparks at the side of his head, as Blackfire pulled out a yellow ring.
“Yes... now arise, my beloved lantern”, Blackfire spoke to her new ally as she put the yellow ring on Simon, who was now completely brainwashed.
“Yes, Mistress Komand’r. Thank you for saving me”, Simon Baz said.
“What do you feel about the Green Lanterns who abandoned you? Shall we make them pay for their betrayal?”, Blackfire asked.
“I want to make them pay for abandoning me for the Skrulls. They never bothered to save me from getting tortured”, Simon answered.
“I know how you feel. My sister did the same to me just because I was born without her power. And I was making her pay until she escaped. Now we will make them all pay. The lanterns who abandoned you, my sister, her loved ones, all of them”, Blackfire told Simon, who smiled back.
“With pleasure, my mistress”, Blackfire couldn’t hide her evil smile at all. Soon her sister would lose everything she held dear, and with her lantern knight by her side, Komand’r would get the revenge she always wanted.

Meanwhile, in a laboratory in Outworld, soldiers lay dead on the floor as Shang Tsung’s followers slaughtered them. Mileena feasted on the Osh Tekk ones, while Tanya burned them with her fire. Motaro shredded the Shokan guards. Reiko swung his spear and sliced Tarkatan guards. Shang Tsung had easily dealt with the ones in front of him by simply absorbing their souls. It did not take long until the Flesh Pits belonged to Shang Tsung once more.
“The Laboratory is secured, Shang Tsung. Now to get revenge on that Osh Tekk for ruining Shao Kahn’s empire”, Reiko urged Shang Tsung, who kept his sinister, yet calm expression.
“Patience, Reiko. We will get our revenge soon enough, but we need an army. Fortunately, we can make one with the Flesh Pits, a Kryptonian army, in fact”, Shang Tsung explained.
“Kryptonians are useless. Galatea was defeated by that Osh Tekk. They are weaklings who would not last a second against Kotal”, Motaro retorted.
“Who said I was making pure Kryptonian army? Thanks to Quan Chi, I have blood sample of Galatea, to make Kryptonian hybrid army. By making them hybrids, their weakness would not be a problem... I would also need blood samples of Raiden or Liu Kang to revive Quan Chi, by using the Horcrux he gave to me in case he perished”, Shang Tsung spoke back as he took a stone out of his pocket.
“After we are done, we will bring my father back and konquer Earthrealm. Is that right, Shang Tsung?”, Mileena asked her creator.
“Yes, Mileena. Your father will make his return once we are done”, Shang Tsung assured his creation, even though he had no intention of bringing Shao back, in order to konquer the realms by himself. Shang Tsung brought his thought at Shao Kahn’s cloned body the Kahn created himself to cheat death. Shang Tsung had to destroy the bodies, to get rid of another threats that would stand in his way of konquest.
Meanwhile, a old man with white hair and beards were wandering around the remains of the Netherrealm, picking up the Amulet of Shinnok. He saw an astral projection in a form of an orange orb.
“You have done well, Shujinko. I was right to sent you after Shinnok has perished. I wouldn’t have wanted you to die for my sake”, the orb spoke.
“Thank you, Damashi. Now, the Kamidogus I haven’t collected yet are the one in Earthrealm, Outworld, Edenia”, Shujinko replied.
“I was right to wait until Shao Kahn and Shinnok were brought down. I couldn’t risk you going against them, but I have faith that you will collect the rest, with the gift I have given you”, Damashi told the old man.
“It will be an honor, Damashi. I will prove myself as a great warrior like Great Kung Lao with your gift. Thank you”, Shujinko said as he entered a portal back to Earthrealm by Damashi, who was actually a great deceiver.

In Kahndaq, Black Adam sat on his throne. He was freed from his confinement by Wizard Shazam years ago, and he wanted revenge on the champions of the wizards. However, what he found from the orb which showed the events outside Kahndaq made him intrigued. There were two who were chosen by the wizard, both of them wielding powers from different godlike beings. Teth Adam wanted to take their power for himself, and he would achieve it by killing both champions, including Billy Batson’s family who shared his powers. However, trying to kill the champions of the wizard meant Adam had to leave Kahndaq without its ruler. Adam turned to his wife, Isis.
“Isis, I am going to leave Kahndaq to defeat the ones who dare to threaten us. Take a good care of our kingdom”, Black Adam told his wife, who nodded.
“I will, husband”, Isis replied. Black Adam nodded, content with his wife’s loyalty. However, Adam’s mind were filled with evil and greed. After Adam killed Billy Batson, his family, and the other champion, he would gain the power of more 6 gods and 16 godlike monsters at his disposal, plus his original powers from the 6 gods of Egypt. When he was done, Adam would become a God who could never be outlast or outfought. A smirk formed on the tyrant’s lips, from the thought of finally becoming a unrivaled God and destroy the wizard for imprisoning him back at the ancient days, and conquer the entire Earth.
On the other hand, Sinestro, was feeling the greatest fear in his life. As the leader of the Sinestro corps, he could check on the status of other yellow lanterns at will. However, he had never seen so many of them getting killed by a single Green Lantern. The Green Lantern corps usually imprisoned Yellow Lanterns, so Sinestro was never expecting his lanterns to fall so easily. The lantern, even though its fury was no much to that of the Red Lanterns, was clearly the deadliest Green Lantern to ever exist. Sinestro needed that Lantern eliminated to preserve his corps. Luckily, he knew that Lantern’s home planet by tracking the signals of the yellow lanterns slain by the Green Lantern’s hand. However, what fascinated Sinestro was the fact that the planet had the most feared weapon made by the Guardians of the Universe themselves, the Manhunters. Sinestro quickly opened a portal and headed to his destination.
Meanwhile, in a chapel made of crystal, two men were discussing. One of them was irrational, while the other one was excited.
“If only I had the ring at my disposal... I could have my revenge against that wretched peasant who took my family’s power. But now... with that new Guardian protecting Grisha’s spawn, I will never be able to kill him and his loved ones like his father did me”, Rod Reiss spoke, furious.
“Why not fight him then? I’m dying for a good battle”, Kenny Ackerman retorted with a smirk.
“You will never be able to defeat him. He will easily destroy you with his immense power. Such power must not belong to a commoner like him!”, Rod Reiss yelled angrily, when he was met by a yellow pink skinned being which floated before him and Kenny.
“It seems we have a common enemy...”, Sinestro spoke to the duo, who was in total awe.
“Who are you?”, Kenny asked the yellow lantern, who smirked.
“I am Thaal Sinestro, the one who leads the yellow lanterns... We are far superior to humans like you, but as we have a common enemy, I shall grant you both the privilege to manipulate the power of fear”, Sinestro told them as he showed them two yellow rings.
“What do you want for us? What does this ring do?”, Rod Reiss asked.
“The ring grants you the same power as the scum who stands in your way. I also want him eliminated, since he killed too many of my comrades. Use this power wisely and make your enemies fear your power. Their fear makes you stronger...”, Sinestro spoke.
“So this ring make us gods? I longed to wield a godlike power myself”, Kenny smirked.
“You will soon learn, human”, Sinestro told Kenny, even though the Korugarian despised humans.
“I shall eliminate him for both of us, but I am informed that our enemy has killed so many of your kind... Are you sure we can win this?”, Rod asked again. Sinestro smirked, as he knew how to destroy their enemy.
“In time, I will show you the way. But now, I must recruit more of this planet to my cause. The other one will collect the means for us, and you will be the one to wield it”, Sinestro told Rod Reiss, who was going to control the Manhunters once they were prepared.
“We will kill our enemies, master”, Rod Reiss answered, to Sinestro’s delight. Sinestro smirked as he left. He now had one more human to recruit, Zeke, who had survived his enemy’s wrath.

Distant from all those plots, a purple giant smirked as he looked at a dark feminine figure who came to him.
“It seems Shinnok has failed...”, the giant spoke.
“He was never the god of death, unlike me. However, like him, I am not yet unleashed”, the black lady spoke.
“What do you wish me to do, Lady Death? Your wish is my command”, the giant spoke.
“Thanos... my dear mad titan. I want you to collect the Infinity Stones without the heroes noticing... We cannot risk any disturbance. Once you are done, you know what to do”, Lady Death spoke.
“Yes, mistress. Once I am done, half of the universe will die by a single snap of my fingers”, Thanos replied as he nodded.
“And death will consume the universe”, Lady Death smirked as Thanos left her to start collecting the Infinity Stones.
