The Worth of the Heroes Part2
The Justice League engaged another Shinnok clone. Shinnok eyed at Batman, who had escaped his rule.
“No one escapes my rule. Serve me or be extinguished”, Shinnok ordered the Justice Leaguers.
“You will never control anyone, ever again”, Superman declared as his eyes glowed in red.
“Humanity does not suit you, Kryptonian”, Shinnok said as he blasted Superman, who countered the fallen god by his heat vision and freeze breath combined.
“I am glad you disapprove!”, Superman said as he did the thundercrap, pushing Shinnok away with ease. Shinnok tried to summon a bone hand to trap Superman, but Clark easily evaded the hand by flying upward, before crushing into Shinnok with immense might. Shinnok, from the experience of his other clones, knew he could never win against Superman. Shinnok then looked at the Leviathan horde still fighting against the Autobots.
Shinnok allowed Superman to pummel him and called upon the Leviathan horde, which started to move toward the Justice Leaguers, ignoring the Autobots. Shinnok knew he had to summon something else for the Autobots. Shinnok summoned a dead Driller bot from the ground near the Cybertronian forces, disabling them from preventing the Leviathan horde from leaving. Soon the Justice League found themselves about to become food for the Leviathans. Swamp Thing summoned branch walls to prevent the Leviathans from reaching them, backed up by Hal Jordan’s barricade construct. However, the horde of the massive hellish beasts easily smashed through the walls.
“You have lost, heroes”, Shinnok declared as he glanced at the Leviathan horde moving toward the Justice League. However, massive lightnings fell from the sky toward all Leviathan horde. Shinnok looked at this in surprise, as Mjolnir flew toward the Justice League. Wonder Woman smirked as she grabbed the divine hammer and snapped her gauntlet, sending Shinnok away with the impact from the gauntlet combined with Mjolnir’s lightning. Diana unleashed her war cry and charged toward Shinnok with Mjolnir in her hand. Shinnok did the same as the fallen god flew toward Wonder Woman. Shinnok summoned bone walls to prevent Wonder Woman from reaching him. Superman came to assist Wonder Woman, who slammed her shield to push Shinnok away, allowing Superman to clash into the fallen god once more. Wonder Woman then used her lasso and covered it with Mjolnir’s lightning, electrocuting Shinnok with it. Superman helped Wonder Woman by blasting Shinnok’s eyes without mercy, as Clark’s no killing moral did not apply to Shinnok and the Netherrealm army. Then John Stewart made his tank constructs fire at Shinnok, emitting the same radiation as the green aura, backed up by Spawn’s bullets and Star Sapphire’s violet blast. In the next moment, massive lighting fell from Diana’s Mjolnir onto Shinnok, who groaned in pain from the combined assault. However, Mjolnir suddenly left Diana’s grip as Doctor Fate used his magic circle to completely freeze Shinnok’s movement inside of a golden tetrahedron.
Meanwhile, the Autobots were dumbfounded when they saw the Driller bot in front of them.
“What is that thing?!”, Elita said, surprised.
“It’s Shockwave’s Driller bot. It was supposed to be dead!”, Volcanicus roared in rage.
“We must not let this thing destroy everything! Autobots, fire at will!”, Optimus ordered as he began to bombard the Driller bot from above by firing green energy from his ion blasters. Volcanicus wrestled with the Driller with the combiner’s immense strength, blocking the buzz saw of the massive worm. Magnus Maximus summoned multiple illusion of itself attacking the worm all at the same time by slamming Magnus’ hammer, countering the buzz saws like Grimlock did. The other combiners fired their firearms at the Driller bot. Elita and the rest of the Autobots did their best to blast whatever came to interrupt their allies, Oni, mindless titan, or flying demons. However, even with all these effort, the worm never seemed to die again.
“Cmon! How do we even kill this thing?!”, Bumblebee complained.
“I need a distraction! Blind the Driller’s optics!”, Optimus ordered. Sky Reign was quick to oblige, as it used the black fog to blind the optics of the worm, followed by the massive blast from Superion and Defensor. Optimus then flew toward the head of the Driller bot and attempted to summon a hammer construct in his hand. However, Optimus found himself unable to summon any construct, until another object made its way to his hand. Constantine noticed the Mjolnir flying toward Optimus nd used his magic to enlarge the hammer to be big enough for Optimus Prime.
“Now it’s large enough for you!”, Constantine said as Optimus looked at the sorcerer with Mjolnir in his hand.
“Thank you!”, Optimus Prime replied, staring at Mjolnir in his hand. Elita and the others watched in amazement as Optimus began to emit lightings from his body. The next moment, the Driller bot was struck by the enlarged Mjolnir and energy axe coated with lightning and solid light by Jetpower Optimus. The single strike was just enough to send the Driller away. Volcanicus roared as he brandished its own sword. Optimus kept the undead Driller bot in place, allowing Volcanicus to decapitate the metal worm. Optimus then decided to help the Justice Leaguers against the Leviathan horde, which was now taken down by Wonder Woman.
“Thank you for this hammer”, Optimus said as he returned Mjolnir to Wonder Woman. Constantine used his spell to return Mjolnir to original size, and Mjolnir was in Diana’s hand once again.
“It isn’t her hammer, Optimus. It belongs to Thor Odinson. What you need to know is that you too had became worthy to lift the hammer”, Martian Manhunter replied. The combiners arrived to finish the Leviathan horde which were still down, but Aquaman stopped them.
“Cease for now! I maybe able to control them”, Aquaman declared.
“Who are you!? You don’t command me!”, Grimlock, now separated as well as the Dinobots, yelled angrily.
“I am Aquaman, the king of the seven seas!”, Aquaman retorted.
“Me Grimlock true king!”, Grimlock yelled back. However, Optimus stopped Grimlock by standing before him.
“Grimlock, maybe we should let him try”, Optimus Prime suggested.
“Fine!”, Grimlock replied as he stepped back. Aquaman used his Trident as he unleashed his telepathic powers upon the Leviathans. The king of the seas were able to take control of the beasts from the sea of blood. Soon all Leviathans began to bow before Aquaman, who rode one of them.
“That is why he is the king of Atlantis”, Ocean Master said in amazement as he sliced an flying bat with his Trident. Shinnok found it impossible to break free from Doctor Fate’s grip by any means. So, he decided to settle for the unthinkable. Doctor Fate saw Shinnok’s body disintegrate from the magical imprisonment. Soon, in a different spot, Shinnok’s body began to reform itself.
“The Lords of Order cannot imprison me”, Shinnok declared as he tried to brandish his hell blast.
“But you are nothing compared to us!”, Hawkman roared as both him and Hawkgirl hit Shinnok in the head from behind. The Nth metal maces caused Shinnok some amount of pain, making the mad god to growl in anger.
“You will regret this, chickens!”, Shinnok roared as he attempted to blast both Hawkman and Hawkgirl. However, Mera trapped Shinnok inside of a water tornado, followed by Vixen who tapped into her Electric Eel power to electrocute the mad god inside the water tornado. Shinnok unleashed shockwave to release himself from the tornado, sending the heroines away by the impact. However, Doctor Fate imprisoned Shinnok once again inside his magic binds. Black Lightning and Wonder Woman combined their lighting with Superman’s heat vision to keep the fallen god in place, aided by Martial Manhunter’s telekinesis, until Aquaman used his trident to impale the ‘god’.
“You may be a god, but you are just fish food to me!”, Aquaman declared as he summoned a tidal wave. The Green Lanterns understood what was going to happen, and shielded everyone inside the radius of the tidal wave. Soon Shinnok found a Leviathan heading toward him, attempting to devour him. Shinnok tried to take control of the beast, but Aquaman kept stronger grip on the beast, making it chomp Shinnok into pieces.
“Now that is a true king”, Grimlock said in amazement.
“We are glad you understand”, Mera replied as she withdrew the tidal wave.
“I guess we cannot see him as someone who talks to fish anymore”, Hal sighed in total disbelief.

Meanwhile, Batman and Gotham fighters were forced to fight the Oni horde led by Drahmin. Poison Ivy had her vines rip most of them apart, while Harley fired her pistols at the ones which survived Ivy’s vines. Katana used her sword to slice the demon bats next to Huntress who fired at the flying demon horde with her crossbow which had explosive bows. However, they were all interrupted by a red blast which almost caught them. It was Kano, now resurrected. Kano took the place next to Drahmin.
“So you are the so called Batman. I don’t see anything special”, Kano smirked.
“Bi-Han could kill him very easily... He will DIE again”, Drahmin laughed as he readied his club.
“Ladies... you should do business with the Black Dragon. I could look after you even better than Batman”, Kano smirked.
“You won’t get to touch him or us with your filthy hands”, Catwoman declared as pulled out her claws. The Gotham City sirens attacked Kano altogether. Kano attempted to slice Catwoman with combat knife, who dodged the assault and hit Kano in the face with her whip. Poison Ivy summoned a carnivore plant behind Kano. Then Harley hit Kano with her mullet and pushed Kano into the tongue of the man-eating plant. Ivy attempted to have the plant devour Kano, but Kano blasted the plant with his optic laser, burning it.
“Don’t you dare hurt my babies!”, Ivy snapped as she tried to attack, but someone from behind fired a bazooka at Ivy. Ivy attempted to shield herself with a plant wall, but the missile went through and burned Ivy’s back.
“Red! You monster!”, Harley yelled in anger as she spotted Jarek. However, Kira intervened when Harley attempted to fire her gun at Jarek. Both Kira and Harley used their knives against each other, attempting to slice one another while dodging. The fight between Catwoman and Kano was fierce, but the victor was already decided even before the fight had begun. Catwoman leapt in the air to kick Kano, and used her claws to scratch Kano’s face. However, Selina never knew Kano let it happen. Suddenly, Selina felt immense pain in her stomach, as Kano used his foot knife to slice Catwoman’s stomach. Selina collapsed on the ground, blood pouring out from her wound. Kano then turned his focus to Harley, who were struggling against Kira. Kano quickly did his balling attack from behind, hitting Harley in the back. Harley was sent away and lost her consciousness from the impact. Kano smirked as he looked at the Gotham City Sirens he had taken down with ease.
“Sorry girls. Job’s a job”, Kano sighed as he looked at Drahmin fighting Batman, Katana, Huntress, and Batwoman. Huntress fired her explosive arrow from her crossbow, which barely scratched the Oni warlord. Katana attempted to cut of Drahmin’s arms, but Drahmin grabbed Katana’s blade instead. Drahmin used his club to smash Katana with it, sending her away. Batwoman attempted to kick Drahmin in the groin, but Drahmin easily caught Kate’s leg and broke it. Kano saw this as a chance and blasted Batman’s back, sending him away from Drahmin. Kano immediately faced Batman as he landed before him as a ball.
Meanwhile, the Justice Leaguers noticed Batwoman with her legs broken lying on the ground near the defeated heroines and villainess from Gotham City. Superman was quick to give his fellow leaguers an order.
“Barry, Hal, Batman needs help. You are to go and assist him”, Superman said.
“I wasn’t fast enough to save him the last time. Never again”, Barry declared as he went through the Oni horde which prevented Barry fro, reaching Bruce. Hal then followed Barry to save Batman. Superman then looked at the defeated fighters.
“Zatanna, their hearts are still beating. If you heal them now, they’ll live!”, Superman ordered. Zatanna quickly got to work as she used her spell to summon a healing magic circle, aided by Swamp Thing’s life force. Superman and the other leaguers covered Zatanna who was focused on her spell from another demonic horde which came to prey upon them from the sky.
Batman and Kano faced each other in an epic struggle. Kano blasted Batman from his optics, who dodged and kicked Kano back. Kano then used his foot knife to slice Batman’s stomach, who managed to catch Kano’s leg, and break it.
“This one’s for Kate”, Batman said as he kicked Kano in the stomach. However, Kano wasn’t even impressed at all, as he knew Batman would never kill.
“You think I am just a thug?! I am Kano, the Black Dragon itself. Those like the Joker who goes easy on you are nothing compared to me! Because I can always kill my enemies”, Kano said as he spat at Batman’s face, distracting the vigilante for a moment. The flies from Drahmin came to Kano’s spit, blinding Batman for a while. This allowed Moloch to come behind Batman and grab the dark knight in the air.
“Batman... You will join us again!”, Moloch declared as he broke Batman’s back by slamming Bruce Wayne’s spine on his knees like Bane did in the past. Hal and Barry arrived just when Moloch broke Batman’s back.
“You Bastard!”, Hal yelled as he summoned a giant hand to grab Moloch. The giant hand began to crush Moloch inside of it without any mercy. Flash attacked Kano and his goons with his super speed, taking all of their weapons as well as hitting them relentlessly. Drahmin was now the only one remained. The demon warlord saw another Batman stand before him.
“So there is another. No matter, you will join the other one in death!”, Drahmin declared as he used his club on the Hallbat. However, the strength of the Hellbat armor prevented Drahmin from damaging Lois Lane inside of the armor.
“I am not just Batman. I am Hellbat!”, Lois said as Hellbat grabbed the stunned Drahmin like Moloch did to Batman. Lois was angry toward the Netherrealm bastard who killed Batman and took her beloved city. Roaring in anger, Lois snapped the demon warlord in two with the strength of her Hellbat suit, killing him.
Kano could do nothing as Flash pummeled him from all directions. Barry looked around and saw Green Arrow with an angry look. Barry understood Oliver Queen’s intent and left Kano for a while. Kano sighed in relief as the Flash left him, but Kano found himself unable to use his optic blast as Green Arrow used his arrow on his cyber eye. Then it was Black Canary’s turn to scream at Kano, sending Kano to the nearby cliff, almost dropping the criminal. However, this was what Kano needed. Kano pressed a button on his arms. The next moment, the Justice Leaguers were welcomed by Kano’s TRIDENT armor which towered above them.
From a distance, the third child inside EVA 01 watched this in fury as Shinji used his Longinus replica to slice the Jet Alone horde which also were used by Shinnok.
“Kano!”, the third child growled in anger as he looked at Batman’s defeat.
“Who is Kano?”, Yui asked as she never knew about what happened.
“Kano is a scum who tried to steal Evangelion technology so he could rule the entire world. I killed him to prevent it, and Shinnok brought him back. I must kill him again”, Shinji spat with anger.
“But what about our current battle? We cannot leave the rest of the EVA units just because of Kano”, Yui suggested. However, they were greeted by two giant which motioned EVA 01 to fight Kano instead.
“Handle Kano. Metroplex will take them”, Metroplex declared as he vaporized the Jet Alone horde with his massive cannons on his shoulder.
“Omega Supreme will accompany you”, Omega Supreme declared as the Autobot followed EVA 01.
Kano smirked as his massive armor prevented the heroes from giving him any damage. Even the Canary Cry was not able to hurt his armor. Satisfied Kano brandished his massive rifle and smirked.
“Goodbye heroes!”, Kano declared as he attempted to fire, but a purple fist punched his mech armor.
“I don’t think so! Whatever you do, I will be always there to stop you!”, the third child declared as he glared at Kano’s henchmen with great hatred. The next moment, white veins began to appear on Jarek and Kira, who eventually exploded into blood as the power of Armisael eroded their entire bodies. Then Omega Supreme fired his missiles at Kano’s armor, sending him away. The big heroic mechs stood before Kano’s damaged armor, as they both brandished their cannon.
“This time, it is goodbye for real, only for you!”, Shinji declared as he raised the Longinus replica in the air to impale Kano inside the armor. However, Kano decided to simply fly away, as he was too afraid to fight EVA 01.
“Looks like it’s time for me to leave! I didn’t get revived so I could die again!”, Kano sighed as he flew away in hurry. However, Kano felt a black object come toward his armor. Angered, Kano attempted to blast the black object which rushed at him like a tigress, who just absorbed all of Kano’s blast. It was Black Panther of Wakanda, who blasted Kano back with the force his suit unleashed as a purple aura. T’Challa then planted a chip on Kano’s armor, rendering Kano’s armor deactivated.
“No! Why are you gonna do me like this?”, Kano begged, but T’Challa gave him a stern look.
“I heard you are like Klaw. Even though I was not able to bring justice to Klaw, I am sure I will be able to bring it to you”, T’Challa told Kano as he looked at the two mechs, who were ready to finish Kano.
“However, I think he deserves to be judged by public, not to be executed here”, Black Panther suggested.
“Yeah, you are right your highness. He had lots of crimes to answer for, and the judgement will surely be far worse than death”, the third child agreed as he kicked Kano with EVA foot, making Kano fall to unconsciousness.

The Kombatants led by Liu Kang fought alongside the Wakandan army. The Shokan champions, Goro, Kintaro, Sheeva provided cover for Okoye, Shuri, and M’Baku. Winter Soldier and Jax crushed some Oni heads by slamming their metal fists on these demonic creatures’ heads. Bobbi Morse used her sticks to push the demon horde away, allowing Sonya and Stryker to fire their shots at their enemies, alongside Kabal who used his speed to slice these demons. Liu Kang and Kung Lao, now in their divine form, faced the fallen elder god.
“Face us, Shinnok!”, Liu Kang ordered.
“In Mortal Kombat”, Shinnok smirked as he attacked Liu Kang with hell blast. However, Liu Kang summoned a lightning dragon to deflect the hell blast. Kung Lao backed his brother up by blasting Shinnok with a Tornado. The combined blast managed to push the fallen elder god away. However, both champions knew it would be too risky to directly attack the mad god.
“Attack Shinnok without being detected!”, Liu Kang ordered. Bi-Han heard the order and created a shadow portal behind Shinnok, where Hanzo and Sub Zero emerged to attack Shinnok. Hanzo blasted Shinnok with hellfire, which even pained elder gods. Sub Zero froze the ground near Shinnok’s foot and prevented the mad god from flying away. Then Smoke fired his gray fog at Shinnok’s face from another shadow portal, followed by Cyrax’s energy net. However, Shinnok radiated hell blast from his body, attempting to vaporize the kombatants. However, Bi-Han managed to summon his shadow klones to drag his allies back into a shadow portal and evacuate them. Shinnok looked at the shadow wraith in surprise.
“Since when had you begun to adore these mortals, Bi-Han?”, Shinnok asked sarcastically.
“When they brought the real me back from your leash!”, Bi-Han retorted as made Shinnok drop from a shadow portal. Bi-Han made the mad god keep falling. However, Shinnok was able to banish the shadow portal and break free.
“Did you forget I could undo Quan Chi’s sorcery?”, Shinnok mocked Bi-Han as he attempted to erase Bi-Han from existence, making the shadow wraith dissolve into nothingness. However, Sub Zero, Frost, and Sareena attacked Shinnok to distract him from killing their Bi-Han. Sub Zero stabbed Shinnok with an ice sword, while Frost summoned an ice drill to impale Shinnok’s left hand to make the mad god lose the grip on Bi-Han, with Sareena who tried to do the same on the right hand of the ‘god’ with her kama. Even though their attempt was enough to make Shinnok lose his focus, Shinnok was still successful at blasting them all away from him. Then Shinnok saw Kotal, Sindel, and Ermac stand before him.
“The false god... I will have Outworld...”, Shinnok declared in a sinister tone.
“I prefer being a false god to being a vile god like you, and you won’t have Outworld as long as I live!”, Kotal declared back as he blasted Shinnok with the power of the sun, pushing the mad god slightly away.
“Challenge accepted”, Shinnok said evilly as he countered Kotal’s sun blast with his own, easily pushing Kotal’s blast back toward the new Kahn. Sindel aided the new Kahn by unleashing her banshee cry against Shinnok, aided by Ermac’s soul blast and Nightwolf’s lightning. The four warriors did their best to deflect Shinnok’s attack. However, Shinnok summoned a bone hand behind of them and pushed the three of them away from a weaker blast from the bone hand. Shinnok smirked as his blast was about to vaporize his opponents, but Rain summoned his water orb to teleport the three of them to safety. Shinnok then thought of killing the younger Sub Zero, Kuai Liang before Bi-Han, to torment the spirit of the shadow wraith. Hanzo eyed Kenshi and Takeda who were slicing Oni demons near them with their blades. In the next second, Hanzo appeared in front of Shinnok, with an angry glare.
“I won’t let you kill Sub Zero. You will have to kill me first for that”, Hanzo declared as he brandished his spear coated with hellfire. Johnny watched Skorpion defend Sub Zero in total surprise.
“Since when did he and Sub Zero become besties?!”, the actor exclaimed in surprise.
“He joined forces with my brother to free me from Quan Chi, who made me kill his family, now brought back by a wise warrior”, Bi-Han replied as he looked at Johnny as the shadow began to reform himself, and ordered.
“I need you to do what you do best against Shinnok. When I summon a portal, you get in and do what you do”, Bi-Han ordered. By the time, Hanzo’s hellfire collided with Shinnok’s death blast in an epic struggle. The mad god tried to imprison Hanzo in a bone hand, but Hanzo dodged by teleporting away and kicked Shinnok in the head from above. Bi-Han saw the chance and summoned a portal.
“Now!”, Bi-Han ordered and Johnny went into the portal. The next moment, Shinnok felt his groin punched by Johnny Cage, who had the very weakness of the elder gods. Shinnok groaned in pain as Johnny smiled.
“Damn I’m good!”, Johnny exclaimed. However, this only made the mad god go madder. Shinnok summoned a torment circle near Johnny and unleashed the torment magic upon the actor, making Johnny scream in immense pain. Hanzo tried to intervene, but Shinnok was smart enough to undo Quan Chi’s sorcery upon Hanzo this time, attempting to erase the wraith from existence like he did with Bi-Han. However, this gave Kuai enough time to recover, who had slid toward Shinnok and pushed the mad god away, making the mad god lose his focus.
“Your tormenting upon my brothers ends here!”, Sub Zero declared with a fierce fury. However, Shinnok just smirked. Sub Zero slid toward Shinnok, trying to form an ice hammer. However, nothing came to form, to Bi-Han’s horror. However, Bi-Han’s fear had been short lived, as Shinnok received a hit in the head with the divine hammer, Mjolnir, now in Kuai’s hand.
“The Asgardian hammer!”, Shinnok growled angrily as he attacked Sub Zero. However, Kuai Liang easily pushed Shinnok away with his ice blast enhanced by Mjolnir’s lightning. Shinnok then found himself frozen in a ice wall which electrocuted him. Shinnok barely managed to break free and teleported away, where he faced the new kombatants.
“Shang Chi, Iron Fist, it’s about time you showed us what you can do”, Liu Kang said. Shang Chi immediately obliged and used his ten rings to disable Shinnok from moving his arm. Shinnok struggled to break free. However, the grip from the ten rings were too strong even for him. Iron Fist summoned dragon fire from his hand and punched Shinnok in the stomach, breaking Shinnok’s rib cages with just one punch. Kung Lao used his hat now in tornado speed and attempted to cut Shinnok’s back. However, Shinnok managed to conjure a bone hand behind him and caught the bladed hat instead, but Sub Zero used his ice and lightning spikes to break the hat free from the bone hand. Then Sub Zero threw Mjolnir at Liu Kang, who had caught it with ease.
“I knew Liu would be worthy”, Kitana commented, as she decapitated another Oni with her fan trapped in a tornado she created. The next moment, Shinnok found his arms completely fried by Liu Kang’s fire and thunder, both enhanced by Mjolnir. Liu then motioned Kung Lao to take Mjolnir. Liu’s brother quickly obliged, and became worthy as well.
“Kitana, looks like our loves were both worthy”, Jade commented, impressed, as she slew another Oni which dared to approach Kitana with her bo. The next moment, Kung Lao span himself in circle and hit Shinnok in the back as a tornado, with Mjolnir in his hand, completely shattering the spine of the mad god. Shinnok could do nothing at this point, as he looked at Liu in fear, who took Mjolnir back from his brother.
“Shinnok, you have chosen to defy the light the elder gods had sworn to protect. Then you have chosen war with a GOD”, Liu Kang declared as he summoned a fire dragon and thunder dragon from his hands. The dragons begun to bite Shinnok’s arms, attempting to bite them off. Liu then jumped toward Shinnok, with Mjolnir in his hand. The next moment, the Mjolnir sliced Shinnok in two. Liu Kang finished the fatality as he cleansed Mjolnir with his fire and took a pose of a protection buddha. The next moment, Liu smiled as Mjolnir left his hand to the next one who was worthy to lift it, as he took a look at Shinnok’s remains.
