Note
Heyy,This is my first time posting on here, so im a little nervous.

Marlene will never forget the day she met her best friends, Mary and Lily. It was on the Hogwarts Express. Marlene was sitting alone in one of the carriages when a small girl, that looked around the same age as Marlene, opened the door to ask if she could sit with her. Ofcourse Marlene agreed. "What's your name?" She asked when the girl sat down. "Mary, Mary Macdonnald" the girl answered. "What's yours?" "Marlene Mckinnon" she answered. They instantly clicked and were happily chatting when another girl came in. She seemed lost. "Is there something wrong?" Marlene asked. "Y- yes" the girl answered, she looked shy and a little overwelmed by everyting. "I can't find my carriage." "What’s your name" Mary asked. "My name is Lily Evans." She answered. "Well Lily" Marlene said "if you want to, you can sit with us." "I would love to, but I dont want my friend to get worried." She answered. "I am new to the Wizarding world, but my friend isn't, so he is helping me with everything." "are you a muggleborn too?" Mary asked. "Yes." Lily said. "Really, me too." they all talked about Hogwarts for a bit until Lily had to go and look for her friend.

When they had arrived at hogwarts and were all sorted, they were all in the same house, Gryffindor. Mary and Marlene were both very excited to be in the same house, because on the way to hogwarts they had been talking about the houses, and in what house they wanted to be. Lily on the other had seemed very disappointed and sad. The girls noticed this, and Marlene asked, ''What’s wrong?'' "Nothing." Lily answered, visibly holding back tears.

Later when everyone was escorted back to their dorms, Lily, Mary and Marlene had been placed in the same dorm. They were all happy about it, but Lily still seemed to be sad. Once again they asked if everything was alright, this time Lily answered more honest. "Not really, me and my friend had planned to be in the same house, but he is in Slytherin, and I am in Gryffindor." she said as she couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and started to cry. The girls immediatly comforted her, and closed her in a warm embrace. After a few minutes Mary started talking, "That you’re not in the same house doesn't mean that you can’t be friends.". "Are you sure?" Lily asked, her eyes puffy and red from the crying. "Yes, being in different houses doesn't mean you can never see each other." Marlene said. "That's true." Lily said as she was wiping away her tears. ''And you will still have us for when your friend is busy.'' Mary added. "That's true." Lily said as she was wiping away her tears. The girls sat together on one of the beds for a long time after that, talking a bit more about life at hogwarts, and getting to know each other a bit better. They knew that from this moment, their friendship would be forever.
