Chapter 1
I felt a tugging as we ran through the shelves of prophecies after being ambushed by Death Eaters. I slipped away from the others and ran in the direction of the tugging. I came across a prophecy with my name on it and I picked it up. "A journey to the past will determine her future. The Sisters Black will aid the heir in her task. Once reunited, they will defeat the light once and for all but only if her path is correctly set. Each girl is on a journey of her own but each one's path intertwines with the others' paths until they become one." What the hell is that supposed to mean? And 'a journey to the past'? I gave my Time Turner away two years ago so how can I travel to the past now?
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here," a voice taunted. Oh, no. I recognize that voice. It's Bellatrix Lestrange. She doesn't know who I am. She just thinks I'm a Mudblood. Who knows what she's going to do to me? I ran away from her and into the Time Room but she chased me. Bellatrix finally caught up to me and now we're alone in the Time Room. "I'm sorry for this Princess but you're the one who told me to do this." She took out her wand and pointed it in my direction. She shot a spell and it hit the Time Turners behind me. "I'll see you soon, Princess. You should take your natural form again." Everything went black as I used my Metamorphmagus abilities to look like my true self.
...
I woke up in the Hospital Wing. How did I get here? "Well, look who's finally awake," a voice said. I sat up and looked at the person who had talked. She was dressed like Madam Pomfrey. "You had a lot of people worrying about you. The Professors went to the Great Hall for lunch and you were there passed out. Who are you and how did you get into Hogwarts?"
"I'm sorry but who are you?" I asked.
"I am Madam Broomhead. You're in the Hogwarts Hospital Wing."
"What happened to Madam Pomfrey?"
"Who? You must have taken a nasty fall." The prophecy. Bellatrix had hit the Time Turners with her spell. Maybe that is what the prophecy meant by 'a journey to the past'.
"What is the date?" Madam Broomhead gave me a weird look.
"September 1st 1968, of course," she replied. Oh, fuck. Dumbledore came into the room with McGonagall.
"Hello, it's nice to see you awake again. I'm the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, and this is the Deputy Head, Minerva McGonagall. Can you tell us your name?" I get why Bellatrix told me to change my looks now. This allows me to keep my cover intact.
"Cassiopeia Merope Narcissa Riddle-Black, Sir." Dumbledore looked concerned. He tried to get in my head but I blocked him out.
"Riddle-Black? Are you of relation to the Black Sisters or Tom Riddle?"
"I don't know how I'm related to them but yes," I lied. They're my first cousins once removed. "I grew up in an orphanage and those in charge told me all I was left with when they found me on the doorstep was a note with my name written on it, Sir."
"How did you get here?" McGonagall asked.
"I got a letter from someone called Bellatrix Black a few days ago and she told me to meet her here because she wanted to talk to me. I flew to Hogsmeade but broke my broom when a stray spell came in my direction and I had to dodge it. It's broken somewhere in the forest around the Shrieking Shack. Which is a shame because I love flying and I've always wanted to try Quidditch but never got the chance."
"Do you know what Bellatrix wanted to talk to you about?"
"She said it was because she took a Heritage Test at Gringotts for her seventeenth birthday and it mentioned me as a relative but she only just managed to find me and she wanted to meet me because she didn't know I existed."
"Do you know Magic?" Dumbledore questioned.
"Yes. I was being tutored by a Witch, Emma Taylor, who saw me doing accidental Magic in the library one day but she died last week."
"Do you know what year you'd be in if you were at Hogwarts right now?" McGonagall asked.
"Starting sixth year but, because I was being tutored, I didn't get to do my O.W.L.s."
"Well, since your tutor is gone, you can attend Hogwarts. You'll have to redo your fifth year, though. All young Witches and Wizards should be able to have a proper education. Although, I am curious as to why you didn't receive your Hogwarts letter... And, we'll make you a Prefect. That way, you'll have a reason to meet up with me or Minerva regularly to see how you're settling in. Now, there's only the matter of having you Sorted." I knew he'd do that if he knew who I was. He can't miss the chance to watch over Tom Riddle's potential heir. He summoned the Sorting Hat and it went on my head.
"Well, this is curious. This is the first time I've Sorted you but not the first time you've been Sorted by me. How odd." This reminded me of the first thing he ever said to me. It was 'I was wondering how long it would take you to come back. This is the first time you've been Sorted by me but not the first time I've Sorted you'. It had always confused me. The Hat chuckled. "Yes, yes, it has. Well, there's no point in taking longer than necessary. We both know where you're going. SLYTHERIN!" The Hat was taken off of my head.
"Well, that makes things a little clearer."
"Albus?" McGonagall looked at Dumbledore with a questioning look on her face.
"I think it's time we have two female Prefects, Minerva. We've had two male Prefects before but never two female ones. Miss Riddle-Black and Narcissa Black will be our fifth-year Prefects for Slytherin House. I'd prefer Miss Black as a Prefect over Mr Malfoy, though I doubt he will be pleased. I will have to send a letter to him immediately." Dumbledore left with the Sorting Hat and McGonagall looked confused.
"Well, Miss Riddle-Black. Where are your things?"
"I- I don't have any, Miss. The orphanage I was at burned down the day I got the letter from Bellatrix. The only thing I managed to save was my broom because I was out flying at the time. These are the only clothes I have. I was staying at Emma's place before I came here. No one had been around her house since she died so it was the perfect place to stay."
"Well, the school will provide you with robes and such until you can talk to Bellatrix. Hopefully, as her relative, you will end up with access to the Black Family Vault. The others won't arrive for the Sorting Feast for several hours but they will be on the train right now. I'll take you to Diagon Alley and we'll get you all of your books, a new broom since you broke yours due to someone else's mistakes (maybe you'll be able to try out for the Quidditch Team. Bellatrix is Captain and Head Girl.), we'll get you some robes and other clothes and a familiar. What kind of animal do you think you'll get?"
"A cat, probably. I love cats but an owl could be useful... Is there some way I could owl Bellatrix to tell her I arrived a few hours too early?"
"Sure. You can borrow one of the school's owls." McGonagall summoned a quill, parchment and ink and I started writing. After I was finished, I sent the letter off with the owl McGonagall summoned.
Cissy, Andy and I were in a compartment by ourselves on the train with the blinds drawn and spells on the door to prevent people from coming in. We've only been on the train for about an hour and a half. So far, only Cissy has had an orgasm and I am determined to make Andy next. I took Andy's shirt off as Cissy recovered from her intense orgasm. I pulled Andy in for a kiss but heard a weird tapping noise and pulled away. I saw an owl at the window with a letter. "Let it in, Bella," Andy said. I moaned in annoyance but let the bloody bird in. I took the letter from it and it flew out of the window. I shut the window after it and opened the letter as I sat down.
"What's in the letter, Bella?" Cissy asked me so I read it out loud.
"Bellatrix Druella Black,
You've never met me or heard of me before but I've heard of you. I am Cassiopeia Merope Narcissa Riddle-Black. I need you to do something really important for me. I arrived at Hogwarts today and told Dumbledore it was by your request. That you had taken a Heritage Test on your 17th birthday and it revealed we were family but you hadn't known about me so you tried to find me but only managed it a few days ago. I didn't tell them how we are related (however, I assure you we are) so you can tell them whatever you'd like for that as I'm sure Dumbledore will question you to see if I am telling the truth.
I told Dumbledore I was raised in an orphanage and was only left with a piece of parchment with my name on it. I have been Sorted into Slytherin today and, along with Narcissa, will be a fifth-year Prefect for Slytherin. I will tell you everything when we meet tonight (bring Andromeda and Narcissa if you wish. They will find out eventually anyway). However, I implore you to, if asked, corroborate my story. The truth will be worth it I promise. Also, please forward this note to The Dark Lord as I wish to talk to him too. I know he marked you over the summer as you are now 17.
It is of EXTREME importance that you show no one this letter (other than your sisters (if you want) and The Dark Lord).
Thanks,
Cassiopeia Merope Narcissa Riddle-Black."
"Do you think she's telling the truth?" Andy asked.
"It's worth finding out, isn't it?" Cissy asked.
I sat in the Slytherin Common Room waiting for the other students to arrive. After Professor McGonagall and I got back from Diagon Alley, Professor Slughorn (Potions Teacher and Head of Slytherin) took me to the Slytherin Common Room. He showed me to my room to put my stuff away. It's two girls per room and there used to be an odd number of girls in this year so Narcissa used to have her own room but now I'm sharing with her. The only person who has their own room in Slytherin now is Bellatrix because she's Head Girl and her year has an odd number of girls in it. Professor Slughorn seemed to think it would be better for me to eat in the Common Room and wait for Bellatrix, Narcissa and Andromeda to show up to show me around Hogwarts. The other Slytherins finally showed up in the Common Room. Some of them gave me weird looks but they all left me alone. Bellatrix, Narcissa and Andromeda (only looking like younger versions) showed up a few minutes after everyone else. They saw me and immediately walked over, ignoring everyone who tried to get their attention. "Are you Cassiopeia?" Bellatrix asked.
"Yes, I am," I replied. "I know what you want to know and we should go somewhere a little more private for this. Luckily, Professor Slughorn has arranged for you three to show me around the castle."
