It was hard for Godric to leave the young child at the house, where he knew the relatives were mistreating her. But he had to, just this once (he hopes she would be left alone until he could come with the solution for it, to help her the best), until he would find more information about the family, and as he had earlier thought: the best way on how to go about this situation, for he could not just take a human child and run away.

That would be kidnapping he was told, which is frowned upon here .

Well that, and the unnecessary attention it would bring- where it to be traced back to him, that is.

They, the Vampire Race, have not shown themselves to public knowledge for a reason, and if they did, there would be consequences as well.

It being: the True Death.

But well, seeing as he still had some hours until dayrise, he searched for one of his contacts on his mobile phone, one he still was not familiar with, even after his childe had demonstrated to him on how to use it.

He did not like it, but he could see the appeal in it, especially now.

“...Hello, who am I speaking to?” Was the familiar British voice on the other side of the cellphone.

Marius , I hope I am not disturbing you from anything important, but I have a favour to ask of you. If you are agreable to it, of course .” Godric said to the other man,

one Marius Black.

Sir? And no, you aren’t disturbing me in the slightest. I’ll gladly help you with whatever it is you want me to help you with.” Marius reasuringly told him, which made Godric smile at. At the staunch loyalty Marius would always show him.

He had met Marius in the 40s, the man had been searching for any available jobs after he had graduated from Law-school. He had saved him from a were attack of all things in the outskirts of London, when he had been visiting the city then.

But the interesting thing was that the man had known what the creature was, and most especially what he was.

And feeling indebted to him, Marius had sworn himself into his service. And had of course told him of this Wizarding world that had been hiding underneath everyone’s noses.

Not even he, the old Gaul, had known of their existence, despite his own upbringing…

Godric had woken up from his sleep for the day, his mind then immediately went to the day before, the call with Marius.

Which had been quite enlightening in the least.

From what he had found, there had already been reports in the past about the young Harriet Potter from her neighbours, a teacher from her school, and also from a librarian of the city.

How they could have let it continue is beyond him, it was obvious the child was being abused. But the local enforcement did nothing against it, and had only swept it under the rug, for the Dursleys were ‘Law abiding citizens’, all the reports would say.

From his understanding, the Dursleys were not rich enough to buy off the police, even with the man, Vernon Dursley, being a director for a drill company called ‘Grunnings’.  So this then begs the question: who was the one behind it all?

And why would they try to cover it up?

It was all very strange to Godric, and  Marius had  seemed to know of  something else as well, concerning the young girl, it seemed, and only told Godric that he would take care of it. And that he would be bringing him the aforementioned documentation, of course.

So he then turned his attention back at hand, he had a promise to fulfill

Which entailed meeting the young girl in question, Harriet again

He hopes she did not wait too long for him, and that she had not been harmed by her relatives, for he was certain he would not be as calm as he was trying to be.

He did not like seeing the little Harriet hurt in anyway.

And with that last thought he had left his suite.

Harry looked in awe around the burgerjoint they entered, which she couldn’t believe she was in to begin with…she had never once been in a fastfood joint, or eaten it for that matter, what with the Dursleys hating her.

But Dudley and everyone else had been here countless of times, and had proclaimed it to be the best in the whole world!

But from looking around the place, she had to agree- it looked like nothing she was used to seeing in England, well the shops she’s seen while she walked from school to the Dursley’s house.

If she had to describe it, she thinks, it looked very American. Well, again ,  from what she had seen from the telly, that is.

As she was currently reading the little background history on the wall, with her friend, Godric which she could still not believe, him being her friend that is! …Her first and only one, in fact.), standing next to her, she did not see the amused expression he was wearing on his face at the moment.

Luckily they were one of the only ones in the restaurant at this hour, for people would mostly order by drive-through at night hours.

Finally taking her gaze away from the wall, she then turned her gaze to the expectant one of Godric’s with a beam,

“This is so cool! Thank you, Godric, but you really shouldn’t have-” She then started to stammer, which the older boy simply raised a single brow to, with a narrowed expression upon his face, which halted her from speaking any further.

“It is my treat, and don’t friends treat their friends to a meal? It is what I have been understanding so far, correct ?” He then asked her with a drawl, which she then after some thought simply nodded to, which seemed to satisfy the older boy then, by the way his lips then twitched into a smile.

The sight froze her on the spot then, before she then felt a cold hand into her own, guiding her from within the restaurant to the cashier, and she of course only then realised (with a blush in embarrassment) that it’s Godric’s.

“Good evening, what shall it be?” The teenage boy behind the register then boredly asked.

Godric then turned his gaze expectantly towards hers, which she was then alarmed by, and seeming to know of her predicament he then ordered for her, which she was thankful by.

“One kids meal.”

The teenager then nodded before he then expectantly looked at the both of them,

“One kids meal, and a drink? And for you,...sir ?” he then asked Godric with, which the other boy froze at before he shook his head, seeming to feel the unaturalness off of him, even if the boy did not understand why, seeing as he did not know that he was looking at a vampire. Godric was used to it.

“I shan’t be having anything for now, but the young lady shall be drinking-” He then said while he turned to her awaiting her to tell him what it is she wants, and with a blush she then shyly said that she wanted a milkshake with it, which he only nodded to and relayed to the cashier.

And after paying and grabbing their number board with them, Godric then led them to a cosy seating area, which seemed to be away from all of the other people, which Harriet was fine by.

Especially when the seats were very plush! She realised with amazement, all the while she softly petted the material of it, which Godric once again smiled at.

“Harriet.” Godric, after she was done eating her meal, then said in a most serious tone, which was a surprise, seeing as his tone was already serious to begin with…

But well he looked at her with a certain expression, Harriet could not put a finger to, but it froze her like how a deer would freeze in front of a cars headlights.

“Yes, Godric?” She then quietly replied, which he then once more softly smiled at, which relaxed her then, before he then continued in a more gentle tone. Which Harriet liked very much, especially the way he was looking at her, she felt like she was special then.

“It is about your living situation, as I understand it- you do not like your relatives, nor do they you, is that correct?” He then asked her, which she then nodded to, not understanding where he was going with  this.

“Would you like me to take you away from them?” He then said, with a certain gleam to his eyes then (very pretty eyes in fact, they looked like the moon), which took her entirely by surprise then.

She couldn’t open her mouth to say anything, so she simply nodded to him with her eyes turned to the table, away from him.

“Harriet, raise your gaze to me.” He then told her, which she after a moment then slowly complied to.

And she then met the softened gaze of the older boy in front of her,

“My- well, someone shall be joining us in a few moments, his name is Marius and he is going to help us get you out of that house, seeing as it is better to do it lawfully I am told…” He then after much thought said, which Harriet looked at in confusion, before she then simply nodded. She was grateful either way, especially because she hadn’t expected this to happen…like ever.

Hearing a bell from the entrance doors of the restaurant then opening, which heralded a new customer, who Godric then quickly looked at with a nod, seeming to recognise the well dressed man.

“He has just arrived, in fact.”

Marius froze upon the sight of the child in front of him then after he had greeted Godric, gripping his cane tightly, he felt as though he was looking into a face he had only seen in the past…a past which he had said goodbye to, especially with his 'death', which hadn't been simple to orchestrate mind you...

But…it couldn’t be, could it?

But it was, seeing as staring right back at him with those familiar brows, aquiline nose and high defined cheek bones, but furthermore …familiar grey specs he could see gleaming into those bright green eyes, and expression the girl was giving him right now-

“...Sirius?” He then uttered in shock, even though he knew the girl was not his nephew (but she looked like him, partly), which the other two seemed to take note of with looks of concern and confusion then.

“I…I am sorry?” Harriet then confusedly asked him, before she turned her gaze to the vampire beside him, a very dangerous vampire, who he noticed, she was not frightened by in the slightest.

“Marius,” Godric then asked him, which he knew meant that he was expecting an explanation- well for his strange behaviour just now, especially with the narrowed gaze he then held.

It seemed the ancient vampire seemed to be as fond of the young girl then as well, as she was with him.

Which again, completely took him by surprise, seeing as not once in his old age he had thought he would have been taken by surprise seeing as he had seen a lot of things during all of these years, but this night seemed to be full of them.

Especially if what he had been informed by has been correct, well his suspicions that is, especially when it was staring him straight in the face now.

For it seems that there is yet another member to the Noble and Most ancient House of Black now, one of the Blood of the Potters,  one who seemed to be hailed as a saviour to the Wizarding world with the supposed heroic deed she had done for them all, which was defeat the Lord Voldemort once and for all, as an infant.

Harriet Potter.
