It was an accident.
Harry harbored a crush on the ‘greasy’ potions master since finding his old potions book. The crush he’d reserved for the ‘half-blood Prince’ did not wilt after finding out it was Snape.
It did the opposite even, it intensified.
He’d known the half-blood prince had to be significantly older than him, but finding out he was Snape?

So, seeing him when he was blackout drunk may have made him do something utterly stupid.
But despite the fact he was drunk, Snape wasn’t. And he’d kissed back.
