It's Up to Me

Chapter 08

Harry strolled to the Family heirloom room with a tight-lipped smile. Taking a deep breath as he opened the door and ambled into the wand section. There stood the Two shelves filled with wands of previous Potters. He glanced at the wand in his hand. Biting his lips, Harry put the wand into a small wooden box he took from the shelf. Harry placed it on the shelf and wrote his name on the tag.

He will forever remember his first wand and hope someone will be able to use it. After all, it saved him from many dangerous situations. One of the most dreadful news he ever heard was that he had become too powerful to use his first wand. The more he used it, the chance of his wand exploding became higher. Harry fixed his gaze on the box and sighed. He knows he shouldn’t be sad and he tasted the power his second wand holds. But his phoenix wand gave him the hope he thought he would never have. Blinking back tears, Harry left the room unable to stay anymore.

Harry packed everything he thought he would need, other than food. He needs at least three months of food before he takes a break from ROR. He glanced around in the master bedroom. Light blue painted walls and simple furniture made the room look like a guest room. Maybe after this study trip, he can give his bedroom a personal touch.

He was already missing the large bed that gave him a comfortable sleep. He knew he could wish for a more comfortable one from Lady Hogwarts. But home is home. Nothing better than that. Stroking his head Harry called his head house elf.

“Master called Dip?”

Within seconds Dip came.

“Yes Dip. Is the food ready?”

“Dip and Toy made food for 7 months Master.”

Dip exclaimed as a food basket appeared in front of him.

Harry nodded. A tiny smile drew on his face. He loves house elves. He shrunk his trunk and food basket, placing them in his pocket.

“Thank you. Tell Toy, I thanked him. And do take care, Dip. I'll be back soon.”

Harry patted Dip’s head with a fond smile.

“I will, Master..”

Harry was taking notes about runes when he heard the voices. He raised his head with a smile.

"Hello Professors…"

He stood up and gestured for them to sit.

"Hello, Harry."

Fillius greeted back. 'It seems the trip was good for the boy.'

Harry got the teapot from the basket. He put light leafy cups in front of his professors and poured the already-made tea.

"mmm… The smell is good…"

Taking a deep breath, Bathsheda commented.

"Herbal tea from Japan," Harry said while getting their gifts.

"I should order those," Severus muttered, favouring the unique taste of the bittersweet tea.

"Yes, Very calming." Fillius also added.

"I brought you gifts…" Harry exclaimed, a sheepish smile on his face.

Three of them looked at him with raised eyebrows.

"You don't have to Mr Potter." Severus sighed. This child… sometimes he reminds me of you Lil.

"I want to… Here…"

"Well then… We should start first with Fillius…" Bathsheda smirked.

"What are we… Children…?" Shaking his head, Fillius ripped the blue wrapping paper on the gift box. He froze and stared wide-eyed inside the box. His eyebrow raised.

"A mini dragon..? Not a charm or transfiguration… A real one..?" Fillius asked, his gaze fixed on the blue dragon.

"A Satori dragon. Only found in Japan… They can communicate with the bonded one and share their strength." Harry replied.

"A dragon..?" Bathsheda shouted, peeping inside the box. She cooed at the tiny dragon.

"A Satori dragon..?" Severus muttered. Their scales can be used for a few rare potions.

"Thank you, Harry… I'll research about them. You gave me a wonderful companion." Fillius smiled. Giving Harry a proud look. He never got a gift like this. And this dragon must be very expensive. A thoughtful gift.

Harry's face turned red and he looked away. This is the first time someone was proud of him. Even Professor McGonagall's face looked more smug than proud.

"Professor Snape next," Harry said while Fillius took the mini dragon to his hand, petting it.

"Of course." Severus ripped the green wrapping paper on the small box. Hoping it is something related to the potion. His eyes widened a little after he saw what was inside.

"Stellaria Rarissima…" Severus mumbled, as he carefully touched the soft glowing leaves. Five Stellaria Rarissima plants.

"Thank you, Mr Potter. This is a rare plant. Very expensive." Severus nodded to Harry while Harry pinched his nose.

"Expensive…? Okay maybe a little..? Like 275 Galleons for a plant."

"I beg your pardon..? 275 galleons? Where in Merlin did you buy this, Mr.Potter? In Britain, this plant cost 1000 to 2000. If you want a quality one."

"Oh… From Japan. I will tell you the address."

"Thank you, Mr Potter." Merlin… With those, I can create something new…

"Now it's my turn…" Bathsheda leaned forward, ripping the warping paper on the box. She stood while giggling.

"An advanced runic kit. Merlin… these are so good. Thank you Harry dear… You got me the perfect gift." Bathsheda exclaimed.
