It was dark out as Regulus stumbled out of the leaky cauldron,he kept walking until he reached a dark alleyway his vision disorted and blurred as the tears began back up again.

Earlier this night, an especially bad argument had taken place with Walburga, essentially leaving him bruised and cut to the point it hurt to much to stand. Things had gotten worse since Sirius had left, he knew he shouldn’t blame Sirius for leaving, that house was killing him. But a part of him still hated Sirius for not trying harder to get him to leave aswell.

In the alleyway, Regulus felt himself begin to pass out, his head still pounding from the intake of achol when all of a sudden.
“ Hey, you alright?” a police officer called from a mile away.
“ Ye..ah” his words came out slurred
“Aren’t you too young to be drinking? Come on lets take you down to the station do you have your phone on you?”
“Yea let me just” he began to reach for his phone when to officer helped him up saying “ You can pass it me in the station.”

“ Right,” The officer ,whos name Regulus learnt was Amelia, began “ could you call your emergency contact for me?”
Sirius. Regulus thought to himself as he pulled out him phone and began to dial the number.

It rang for one beat. Then another. Declined. He called agin. Voicemail.

“Who are you calling son?” Another police officer called Arther asked
“ My um brother.” Regulus replied.
“ You sure thats the right number?” Amelia asked
“Yes.”
“Oh im sorry, how come hes not answering” Arther asked

Well, Regulus and Sirius didn’t have the best relationship, growing up in a house like theirs made them clash, they both had different ways they learnt to adapt. Regulus stayed quiet, obeyed even if he didn’t agree with his parents. Whereas Sirius was the opposite. He stood up for what he believed in, he was always the braver one in that sense.

“ I don’t know” Regulus replied after a minute.
“Hanging up? Thats messed up” he heard another officer in the distance mumble.
Tell me about it, Regulus felt like saying.

Regulus got up exusing himself claiming to needed the bathroom. He rang Sirius again, voicemail. Not a suprise really. This time though, he left a message saying;

“ I gave your name as my emergency phone call, Siri, it rang and rang even the police thought you were wrong for hanging up. I’ll dial drunk. I’ll die a drunk. I’ll die without you.“ Regulus said into the speaker.
After a second he added “Fuck you Sirius” his voice sounding more upset then he had meant it to but he found himself to tired to care. Maybe in another universe Sirius would have answered the phone.

Sirius. His big brother.

Once they were so close, now he can’t even pick up the phone.
