Draco and powers
Just then, a tall, blonde kid opened the door and was dragging a short, pale, emo 13 year old behind him.
“Hey Percy,” he said.
“Will, what happened?” Percy said this as if this happened a lot.
“Nico almost killed someone,” Will was smiling in a way that said Nico did this a lot.
“I did not!” Nico said. “He pissed me off so I kicked his shins!”
Ginny started laughing like a weirdo. The mental image of an emo kid the same height as her kicking someone in the shins was hilarious!
“Why is she laughing?” Nico asked. “Stop it!”
Ginny was gasping for air as she tried to get up from the floor. “Ok, fine, but who did you kick?”
“An idiot called ‘DrACo mAlFoY’” said Nico in a great impression of Malfoy.
“You kicked Malfoy, in the shins?” Ginny started cackling. This was the best day ever. “How did he react?”
“Said his father would hear about this,” said Will, he took some of Percy’s chocolate and stuffed it into Nico’s mouth so he’d shut up.
“My father will most definitely hear about this!” Malfoy had opened the door. “And you will be sorry, di Angelo!”
“Nico, you’re not supposed to be making enemies on the first day,” said Percy calmly. “Hazel told you to be nice.”
“Excuse you, but I’m still talking!” Malfoy did not like being ignored.
“Yeah, yeah,” said Percy. “Something about your daddy making Nico say sorry, right? I wasn’t paying attention.”
“Who even are you?” asked Malfoy.
“A living thing.”
“What? I meant like where did you come from?”
“You didn’t know about the transfer students from America?” Ron was pleased to know that they knew about this and Draco didn’t.
“I did know, but I didn’t think they’d be so stupid that they’d start fights with me.”
“You started it,” murmured Nico.
“Solace, tell your boyfriend that he owes me, big time.”
“My boyfriend is currently planning how to kill you in your sleep,” said Will. “So you’d better get out before he’s done.” It wasn’t a threat it was a promise.
Malfoy, who didn’t actually think they were gay(he was trying to bully them), was shocked at the fact that there was someone so impertinent towards him because he was a rich guy who could ruin someone’s life.
Nico, who was just chilling there eating chocolate, actually finished the plan on how to kill Malfoy. He put it in his mental file for things that he was going to do if anything drastic happened. He can’t get arrested a week into Europe.
Draco left in a huff of anger.
“Neeks, Reyna and Jason said try not to make enemies,” said Percy, he really looked like he didn’t care that Nico made enemies. “Who was that guy, anyway?” he asked Harry.
“Malfoy,” Harry replied. “He’s a big jerk and he likes to bully anyone who isn’t pure blood.”
“What’s a pure blood?” Percy asked.
“You don’t know what a pure blood is?” Hermione asked. Could there really be a part of the wizarding world which didn’t have any blood prejudice?
“It’s someone who has completely magical parents,” said Ron. “Were you raised by muggles?”
“What’s a muggle?” Nico asked.
“A non magic person,” explained Ginny. “You don’t call them that?”
“No,” said Nico. “We just call them normal people. And I’d say I was raised by my mom who was normal.”
“You’re half-blood?” Harry asked.
Nico tensed. Act like you don’t know what that is. “What?”
“It’s basically anything between pure blood, someone with both magic parents, and muggle born, someone with no magic blood.”
Phew! For a second, the demigods were afraid that the whole plan would be stopped.
“Yeah, I guess we’re all half-blood,” said Percy. “Magic dads and normal moms.”
“All three of you?” Ron asked. “Bloody hell, the odds of that are pretty low.”
Percy and Nico winced at hell. Percy gripped the seat in an uncomfortable way and Nico squeezed Will’s hand. Hermione noticed this but decided not to ask.
“What house are you hoping to get into?” she asked, steering the conversation into a less worrying route.
“Houses?” Will asked.
“Yes, there are four houses for different qualities,” said Hermione. “Gryffindor for the brave and daring, Hufflepuff for the loyal and hardworking, Ravenclaw for the wise and creative, and Slytherin for the cunning and ambitious. There have different colors. Red, yellow, blue and green, respectively.”
“I’m thinking you’ll be in Hufflepuff, Percy.” Nico said. Percy’s fatal flaw was loyalty after all. “And you too, Will. You work too hard.”
“So do you two have powers and weapons?” asked Ginny, who had been quiet for a while.
“I have a sword,” said Nico. “And some powers.”
“Powers that almost killed him once.” Will said.
“What sort of powers?”
“I can summons zombies and skeletons, teleport using shadows, talk to dead people and touch ghosts.”
“Don’t forget that one time you sent someone straight to the underworld,” supplied Percy helpfully (not). Nico scowled.
“You can talk to dead people?” asked Harry, hopefully.
“Yeah, why?”
“Nothing.”
“What about you, Will?” asked Ginny.
“I’m just a healer,” he said. “Can reattach limbs and shit.”
“And you’re a great glow stick,” Percy said.
“A what?” asked Ron.
“If I concentrate, I can glow like a light bulb. It’s very weird.”
They reached the castle and went to the place with the magic carts that move on their own. Except now they were being pulled by skeleton horses. Huh?
