Chapter 8
Two weeks later
Zira's POV
Two weeks passed too quickly for my liking and I was left alone with Eri again. I had two more weeks of vacation as Unspeakable and as a hero I was called in critical situations so I could take care of Eri in peace. I'm curious how the return to school will be for the boys I hope that they will not ask too many questions.
I managed to pull Shota away from work for two whole weeks and I'm proud of myself for that. While he was with us, I made him an amulet with the same properties as Eri and Izuku.
It was a sign that he was practically but not legally adopted into our family, and when I told him about it he smiled so widely I thought he was going to tear his lips. He gave us a big hug and thanked us, but for us it was just a pleasure.
During his stay with us I could see how strong his bond was with Eri and Izuku, and I knew he would take care of them if I could not. I'm glad they have a male role to model and I can see that Shota enjoys being one.
Yes we told Shota about the Izuku gift and he even gave a presentation on how it works. Shota was very impressed and promised to keep it a secret. As for my familiars they like him too and more than once I have caught them taking a nap together. What about me and Shota so we got closer and I can say that we are good friends and co-partners when it comes to Izuku and Eri.
As I planned the second week of the break we spent training in the troupe or me alone with Izuku. From time to time I trained alone with Shota and we tested our abilities after by fighting. I can say that we learned something new from each other.
Returning to our trip, I introduced them to my friends from the Wizarding World and I can say that they liked each other. Shota got a few calls from work but he kept those conversations short. When I asked why he wouldn't talk to his friends longer he told me that they were questioning him about me and he didn't want to betray my trust and tell them something in anger.
I told him that everything will be fine and not to worry about it, because he is not alone in this. He just nodded and said he wouldn't worry about it now and would rather relax. We also practiced with Eri with her Quirk and she has almost full control over it.
Her Quirk is powerful and dangerous. For this reason, I am also teaching her not to be afraid of it because it can cause her to lose control. I was hoping that things would finally calm down.
Thinking about it today, they were going to bring three people from the League of Villains who are participating in the rehab. I knew that this would temporarily distract the others from Izuku and Shoto. However, I could not pull away the bad feeling I have. I hope nothing will happen to them and I won't have to interfere. I thought for a moment
'' Night you can go to the U.A. and monitor the situation there. I have a bad feeling and I want Izuku and Shota to have help. Inform me right away if something happens'' I said and he nodded and disappeared into the shadows. Snow and Night have powers like ying and yang, Snow controls everything with light and Night caters to everything tied to darkness.
I hope I'm wrong, but the forewarned is always forearmed. I went to check on Eri and noticed that she had fallen asleep while coloring.
I quietly walked over to her and picked her up gently. She immediately snuggled into me and I carried her to her bed. The bed is specially enchanted so that it is always warm or cool depending on how you feel. For example, in the winter they are warm and in the hot summer they are like a cool pool. She curled up in the warm mattress and breathed lightly.
I went to the living room to read a little and Snow joined me. I sat like that for what felt like hours, but in truth it was only 45 minutes. I decided to make myself and Eri something to eat knowing that when she woke up she would be craving something.
When I finished making the sandwiches I heard soft footsteps approaching in my direction. When I turned around I saw Eri rubbing her eyes and yawning sweetly, and immediately took her in my arms.
" How was your nap?" I asked,
"Good" she said, putting her head on my shoulder. I stroked her back
'' Are you hungry'' I asked and she nodded her head.
After we ate we decided to watch a movie. When suddenly I felt that something was wrong. Everything was fine until I felt Izuku and Shota amulets sending out an alarm that they were in danger.
Immediately Night informed me telepathically that the school was under attack and the entire 3A and 3B classes were tied up with teachers and heroes who were there to guard Villains.
I immediately sprang into action and first called one of the house elves to take care of Eri and dressed in my costume. I knew I had to act with my head and not react without thinking.
I know things could turn ugly, but I have to help them no matter if my identity is discovered. I quickly went to the school and managed to easily get where they were being held. I went to the highest point in the hall and stayed hidden until the right moment.
I heard their leader give some monologue about their victory and thought I would fall asleep until I heard his next words
''Who shall we kill first,'' he said monotone,
''Green for starter,'' he said pointing to Izuku.
My blood froze and I could only see red. I let out my shadows alerting people to my presence and scaring them but Izuku laughed. One of them slapped him in the face
'' What's so funny'' he said
''She is here'' he said laughing
''You are so dead '' he continued amused. I noticed that Shota and Katsuki had realized and smiled
'' She is fast'' said Shota
'' They hit Izu. They are dead'' added Katsuki laughing.
The leader tried to be brave
''We'll manage her'' and I appeared behind him
''No one touches my family and comes out alive'' I said and hit him in the neck he fell unconscious. I looked at the rest of the villains and opened my arms wide
''Keep coming boys,'' I said and they attacked me one by one or in groups.
