Chapter 3
Hermione was heading to the mountains, located in the middle of Forks Forest in Washington. She gathers her camping gear and all the necessary things for the ritual,three more days to go and this bond will be severe.
Getting near the mountain top a figure of a woman came running after her at an inhuman pace.
"What in the world!!, Yelled a surprised Hermione who almost ran over the woman in question.
Smiling to herself Rosaline chuckled at the dishivild state of her friend. " Hello Mia"
"Don't Hello Mia me, You scoundrel.. you almost ran me over"
" Well, I always love to make an entrance, you know it too well."
Hermione chuckled remembering the first time she met Rosaline..
"How can I forget, you were the first Vampire I met in this place. Quite the rude one if I may add"
"You may, just, don't forget you were quite the rude Witch my dear"
"It was just an accident, I didn't mean to ruin your shoes with my coffee okay!!"
"Yes, and my dress wich cost quite the fortune it I may add"
"And what about my books? I remember you breaking them after you found out I was A Witch."
" You fixed them with, your magic thingy.."
"You mean my wand?"
"Yes, exactly"
"Why are you here Rosaline, are you here to exasperate me to death about ruining your expensive shoes"
"And dress"
"Yes, and the dress.. I get it"
" As for what I 'm doing here you know well as to why" looking at her with an inquisitive look.
"I am not going to change my mind"
"Then if that's the case, let me go with you..your my friend and I need to know your save"
"Rosaline.. I"
"No But's…think of it as repayment for the highly expensive shoes and dress you ruined."
Rolling her eyes Hermione sighed she was not going to leave down the fact that she made a mistake, stains were not easily removed by magic. Sometimes she cussed the day she met Rosaline Cullen, she was quite annoying and persistent when she wanted to.
"Fine!! , But no sabotaging my plans"
Smirking she just wink at Hermione " I won't "
The two friends continued their journey into the mountains as they arrived prepared for camp. It will be a long two days until the full moon is out.

"What did you bring us here?,Son"
said Carlisle, who was getting tired of seeing his son paced back and forth biting at his nails. They were all gathered together, mostly all of them Rosalie was missing, she left and now she will come back in three days, she was to help Hermione in her bond severing.
"Irina went to the Volturi and accused us of making an immortal child."
"But they don't have proof of such a thing, Renesmee grows faster than most kids.. I gave birth to her when I was still human, she is a hybrid. Bella said, thinking absurd they will accuse them of such a thing.
" I understand what you mean Bella, but if Edward is right they are not going to care about explanation they need proof and knowing Aro he will find any excuse to get his hands on Alice or any of us. " Carlisle reasoned with Bella Knowing too well things will go south Aro and his brother's are not to be trifled with, they needed..
"You need Witnesses… " answered Jasper as he came into the light, " we need to prove to them Renesmee is who we say she is and that she is not a threat.
We all know The Volturi had never been fond of anything different from them, witnesses are needed"
Alice, who was quiet for most of the exchange, knew she had to make preparations. The main witness was not here near forks or easily reached. She couldn't take Jasper with her after everything that happened between them and she still believes his soulmate will find a way back to him, he needed her. She needed to take her brother Emmet, I know Rosaline would understand. They had to make an emergency plan for Renesmee. If they weren't prepared things would not go well at all. The only thing I can do before leaving Is urge them to find as many witnesses as they could.
" Jasper is right, find as many witnesses as possible, and advise them they have to be prepared for the worst.
"I am not going to invite my friends to join a war, we do not want any more fight amongst each other " said Carlisle thinking of his friends who were pacifists.
"I understand your point, but this is Renesmee who we are talking about, not only that our peace and our way of life can be as state, so I side with Alice we need to be prepared." Jacob didn't want to put Renesmee at risk and if the volturi were as bad as Edward and Jasper said then there's no way, they let them be..
"Thank you mutt"
" Don't mentioned, Fangs"

Jasper left the meeting after everyone divided to gather the witnesses for Renesmee and her parents' defense. He, on his part, was worried for The Little Witch, if the Volturi knew she was here and of her power they would not rest until they have her. Not to mention their witch hunter, Dolohov was not a man to be trifled with, he killed without remorse even does of his own kind, he was a wizard who worked for the Volturi under contract, Aro found him when he was at his weakest. This man was in search of power. Wanting one day to overpowered Volturi's rule. He was looking for revenge against his kind, he lost everything after his previous Master died and now he lives for revenge.
I fear that the moment he gets his hands on Hermione then he will break that leash the Volturi have on him and who knows what sorts of things he will be capable of just to get his revenge.
Running toward the Quileute tribe territory would not be easily explained, still he had to find out where she was. I already made calls to J.J , my lawyer to prepare an emergency package for Renesmee. Alice left with Esme, I hope even though we are not talking to each other that she will go to J.J. and grab the legal documents he will forge.
Jumping at the line of the Quileute tribe land, I sense the emotions of the wolf's (shapeshifters coming my way) Trying to calm them as much as possible and send them my intentions towards visiting their lands. He stopped in the middle of the land, and waited for the wolf.
Arriving they circle him and tried to attack but he didn't flinch, he didn't move a muscle just watch them in amusement and delight.
They couldn't touch the mate of one of their people even if that someone was a cold-one.
"I need to see The Witch!! or at least take me to her Uncle"
Sam Uley came to him in his Wolf form ready to attack. Growling and sizing him up. As the Wolf's began to join him, ready to break their law if they have to. To protect Hermione!..
Jacob who was looking for the pack to make them see the reason they had to join the fight, if they didn't this might me be the time they lose their lands for good. And they couldn't afford to lose to the Volturi. Leah and Set where at his sides, they have form their own little pack since they parted from the prima pack. They ran fast across their family land and sensed their people close by clearings of the land. They were not alone, it seems a vampire was with them. Shaking his head he looked at Leah and Set as they picked up the pace he thought that only one Vampire could be brave and bold enough to cross his land's.
Jacob got close to them going ahead of Leah and Set, jumping as high as he could he stopped the pack from feasting on one Jasper Hale.
Turning back to his human form Jacob Yelled. "STOP!!"
All of the Wolf's turned back to there Human forms. "What are you doing here traitor?"
"We are in the middle of something and you are interrupting us"
Jacob looked at them, they always did this… " you need to understand one thing Sam, You are head of the pack thanks to me and I can take it back whenever I want. Still I have a more important job right now and that is to be the mediator between the Cullen's and our tribe. "
Sam scuff " Mediator , You practically live with them. Have you forgotten are ancestors our ways"
Jacobs started to grow cold " Never!! You are no better than that. It is because of our ancestors that we have this land. I have to make sure we are save as the future leader of this tribe "
"He broke the treaty he came to our land!!"
"I'll deal with him, you know that he is Hermione's mate. So that makes him able to come to this land if the reason is justified "
"And what reason could he possibly have, the bond will be severe in a day from now. "
Jacob addressed the whole pack as he got close to Jasper. " The Volturi will invade our lands soon, they discovered Renesmee and they have accused the Cullen's of making an immortal child." Looking at their shock faces the pack grew silent amongst them. "If that happens they will come for us as well, we must be ready to protect our people and or land that is why he is here and also he still has the bond with one of ours"
"You deal with the cold -one then "
In silent agreement, Sam and the pack left knowing too well they have to put there pride aside if they wanted to protect their land, they have to prepare for the worst that was sure yet to come.
Turning back to Jasper… Jacob felt like punching his stupid pale face. How much trouble he got him and he had the nerve to smirk.
" Her.. name is Hermione?
Laughing Jacob, Leah and Set shook their heads
"That's all you could think of, Lover boy!!.
"I need to know she is safe"
"You could just have ask me about her, I am her cousins after all"
Jasper grew amused " would you have told me?"
Jasper laugh " Never"
" Can you guys stop the chit chat, some of us got stuff to do " Leah told them In humorous tone.
Set just wanted to go train and prepare as much as Leah. They were in danger and every minute counts.
Jasper assesses Jacobs emotions he was not nervous, not sad, just worried. " Can you tell me where she is..?"
"She is not alone if that's what is your concern, she is with Rosaline ?"
Surprise Jasper answered " Of course she knows the little witch, ain't important to tell me about it seems.
"Well they are friends, my cousins says she stand her. But secretly I think she adores Rosaline Hale..She has always had a soft spot for lost causes"
Jasper look at Jacob with menacing eyes.. " I appreciate if you don't talk about my sister like that "
"Sorry, man didn't mean it as an offence."
Jasper nod at Jacob's response.
" I need to see your Father about Hermione" her name tasted so sweet on his lips.
" I'll see what I can do, just next time.. ask me instead of getting in our lands. I don't think the pack will hold back a next time"
"Duly noted " nodding his head Jasper left the Quileute Tribe lands.
He left back to Cullen's house, he might have to wait until evening for his talk with Billy Black and knowing how cautious he was they will have to meet in common ground. In search of a book his father told him not long ago about soulmates and Edward brought back to memory in his last conversation.
(Flash back)
After Edward got between Alice and Jaspers dispute he looked at Jasper and in a cold tone spoke to him.
"You and I are going to have a friendly little talk " leaving toward the usual meeting area of the Cullen's. Jasper followed behind Edward with caution and guarding his features for any mind reading.
Looking at Jasper once they arrived at the meeting area he spoke without restraint " You know better than to get in a fight with Alice she knows you better than the rest of us and to hurt her just because you are hurting is a petty action towards someone that has helped you so much."
Jasper looked down embarrassed, Edward was right but a part of him was still mad that Alice didn't understand, especially someone who knew him so well, so he didn't answer Edward.
"She does understand, that is why she doesn't want to see you suffer..your bond is different than mine with Bella. Your mate is a powerful witch she won't need to change into a vampire for the sake of being with you forever. You would have known this if you read the book Carlisle told you about. It's one of the reasons many vampire's seek Witches as their soulmates, still only few receive that privilege. You have no idea what you're saying goodbye to and Alice does, that is why she is concerned and so insistent in this bond you have with the Witch.."
Jasper understood that apparently he didn't know very much, nothing at all. And that his stubbornness and pride didn't let him see that his friend and ex lover was trying to show him her concern. That is why they would never work as a couple, Jasper needs someone that wouldn't be afraid to sever a bond with him or make him see reason by being assertive. He smiles remembering his first meeting with the witch.
"I admitted that it was not the best way to speak to Alice, I ain't a saint, I have trouble restraining my emotions. Especially when I feel others emotions so clearly and in that moment even if it is not an excuse. My emotions and Alice emotions were too much for me to handle. "
"I do understand that your gift is a blessing and a curse. It is not easy to deal with the emotions of others and ourselves all at once. But you can't forget who you're speaking to. She is suffering as well. She feels the call of her soulmate, yet she hasn't met him. She only saw a vision of him and they formed a Bond. That is why she gets it, she is suffering the weight of the bond as well. "
Jasper let out a breath, what a horrible Jackass I was to Alice.
Lowering his head he put his hands across his hair trying to relieve the pain.
" I am sorry Edward, I know I beens driving you all crazy with my emotional outlash. It is just so hard for me to understand these feelings and to feel that I have lost control yet again.".
"That's why you have to read that book, once you do talk to Billy Black he might have a good answer for you. I know that there's more going on that you let on. But you must remember we are your family and we are here for you, we are not against you. But with you, so don't push us away." Edward smiles in a knowing way. "Besides, we all know that you are crazy for the little witch you just have to admit to yourself. "
Of course he knew, he read his mind. Jasper let out a laugh as his brother gave him a pat in the back as both of them headed back to their family. Jasper felt much better, and was relieved that he was not alone. He had his family after all.
(End of flashback)
Getting to his room, he saw the book that he was searching.it seems Carlisle left it out for him. Grabbing the book he noticed it was old and even the marking of the printed letters seemed faded..
" Nature's Wonder" as he opened the first chapter he read the first title of the book.
"The mating of a Witch and Vampire."
"Way to cut to the point" he let out a laugh as he read. It was pretty much what he meant until he got to the second page of the book. It was unimaginable.
"Your connection to your soulbond makes you able to find the person you are destined to bond with permanently. You can track them by their scent if you are a vampire, but we know that Witches have ways to hide their scent. The connection however is more difficult to hide. It is in this connection you can find a compass towards your soulmate." Reading across the pages he looked for a way to connect to the bond and find his witch he needed to warn her, the danger she was in.
Moving his fingers across the page he finally found it. "To find your soulmate, you have to connect with them while closing your eyes and calling forth their soulbond. It helps if you say their names for a faster and precise connection."
Closing the book he left it in the night stand next to his bed. He sat down in the middle of his room after opening his window. He let his eyes close and began to call forth the bond it felt to much, he took a deep breath and began to say her name "Hermione" a calming balm felt over him as he called forth her name. And he could see her and smell her.
"Are you okay said Rosaline
Noticing that Hermione was looking at the wide expanse of the forest they were preparing everything for the ritual taking place tomorrow at nightfall.
"It's nothing, I must have imagined it"

Opening his eyes Jasper smirked.
"So there you are, little Witch."
A knock woke him from his thought it was Jacob with his father Billy Black they had much to discuss.

Meanwhile the Vulturi prepare for War as they called the wizard who was there aid in every wicked thing
"Hello, My lord, how can I be of Assistance?"
Aro smiled a sinister smile, red eyes sparkling wildly as he spoke in a sinister tone. " It is time for war dear Dolohov."
"As you Wish My lord" he bowed politely. Looking at Aro with the need to speak. " If I may?.."
Aro looked at him with annoyance.. "yes.."
"There are rumors that a powerful witch is at Forks. If it is possible can I go verify if the rumors are True".. he smirks, hiding it well as he keeps his head down while he speaks.
Aro knew that a powerful witch could be trouble in a war, especially against them. They were quite immune to their gifts. If it weren't for the leach he had on Dolohov he would have killed them not long ago so without missing a bit he said. " Of course, you may".
"My lord" lifting his head he left in a flourish of magic, he had a witch to hunt.

Chapter tree: The importance of the bond.
"A challenger can present themselves to break the bond between the Witch and Vampire. If the Witch and Vampire in question haven't completed the bond. This is why it is advised to complete the bond in a timely manner. "
"If this Wizard breaks the bond by calling forth his magic and naming himself as a contender for the Witch's hand, then my dear cautions, for it is only death that makes a contender disappear. Make haste and do not wait. The bond must be complete promptly."
The shadows get closer as the night gets longer.My soul calls to thee, but there's no answer. Where are you my half, where are you hiding from me. Do not run, for the shadows deepen and my soul cries out don't go, I am here.
