Five years after the battle that all but determined his life, it finally feels as though he has escaped the fame.
The entire time he was in the wixen world, he was chased by reporters, never getting a real moment to do anything without the whole population knowing, it was suffocating. (But that's not all, there were numerous times he was accused of becoming the next Dark Lord, just because he didn't try to kill anyone with a dark core he saw on the street. He knows this kind of discrimination is from the same side winning two wars in a row in quick succession, but you would think that those with the light cores and so-called 'good' intentions would realize they are treating those with dark cores the exact same way they were accusing them of during the previous wars.)
The only place he never got that kind of attention in was the muggle world. In the muggle world, he was ignored for the most part, and he preferred it.
He may not say anything when people say he was a blind idiot, but that didn't mean he actually was.
When he had a clear idea of what he wanted, and he knew how to get it, nothing could stand in his way.
It was too simple really. It could have been simpler really, but he wanted to get the job done right, and to do that, it took work.
The first task on his list was to secretly get his eyes fixed, which he never even knew was possible until he was considered an adult pretty much everywhere. There was one good thing about that he realized once he thought about it, no one would recognize him without the glasses. Since he has always worn those glasses, nobody knows what he looks like without them.
Put on a quick glamour and nobody could tell you apart from the average muggleborn wizard just learning that it was possible to fix bad eyesight.
That was the first thing on the list, the next was to visit Gringots and transfer some Galleon into pounds and increase the investments.
With a purse full of money, Harry moved on to the next task, buying some concealer, the scar is another one of the more notable things about The Great Harry Potter after all.
Buying muggle property was simpler than he imagined, but getting the right people to fix up said property’s plumbing system, was not.
He had his eye on a small company led by two brothers called Mario Brothers Plumbing. While everything looked good, Harry wanted to be sure, he knew better than to trust blindly, and he learnt that lesson the hard way.
Harry called them up and asked about seeing how they do on a job and maybe going from there. Apparently, he was in luck, they just got their hands on a job and were willing to show him how they worked.
What he had not expected though, was to end up in a pipe system and land in a place he later learned was called the Darklands.
