Remus' friends loving his jumpers was never a doubt. By November in their first year at Hogwarts, Sirius was the first to steal one of them. Only Remus didn't notice until 3 months later when Remus found it lying around in Sirius' stuff.

Sirius kept doing it over the years and quickly James and Peter joined in on the habit. All claiming that they're the most comfortable things to wear.

Remus would often tell them to buy their own. Which Sirius would reply to with, "but then they're not Moony sweaters." Which he always found the most pathetic excuse. They had more than enough money to buy their own.

He never minds it when either of them turn up to breakfast wearing one of his jumpers though. Secretly he kinda enjoyed the fact that they kept stealing them. It makes him feel special for some strange reason.

Now, however, the girls seemed to have joined in on the habit as well.

He just returned to the common room from the library, where he has been studying for exams that are coming up, where he finds Marlene and Mary chatting on the couch. Almost immediately it catches his eyes that Marlene is wearing his clothes.

A little startled he opens his mouth and says, "that's mine" while pointing to the jumper.

"Well observed Lupin." Marlene answers when she turns her head realizing he was talking to her.

Remus doesn't mind her wearing it. It just surprised him since it's always been just the marauders stealing them.

"I was cold and I saw it lying around, Sirius must have left it behind." She says after Remus just stood there confused thinking Marlene just went up to the boys dorm and took it out of his wardrobe.

Without much further thought, he tells her it's not a problem at all. "Now I'm going upstairs to tell my snobby boyfriend to not leave my precious jumpers behind like trash." He says as he's already walking towards the staircase. "Goodnight girls!"

When he enters the dorm, James and Sirius are talking quidditch while sitting on James' four poster bed.

"Where's Pete?" Remus asks as he drops down his bag with his school supplies by his bed.

"He was with some ravenclaw girl last time I saw him. It's almost curfew though so he'll be back soon." James answers.

"Can't wait to tease him about this one." Sirius chuckles. "What? It's like tradition!" Sirius exclaims after seeing the look on Remus' face which was indicating that he was being childish.

For whatever reason, Sirius always feels the need to tease Peter about the girls he's getting with.

"Speaking of traditions." Remus starts, raising his voice a bit not meaning to sound angry but it comes out that way a little. "Why was Marlene wearing my jumper?"

"Because everyone wears your jumpers?" Sirius answers looking a little confused and glances at James who chuckled.

"No, you all do, the girls never have. You left it downstairs and she took it." Remus has no idea why he's being so defensive about it. It's not like he ever minded James, Sirius or Peter wearing them.

Sirius, who's still laughing a little due to his confusion about Remus' sudden outburst over his jumper, answers with, "I probably forgot."

"Well don't forget again."

----

Days pass by before he sees Lily and Mary each wearing one of his jumpers when he enters the charms classroom. He looks a bit confused at them wondering how they got his sweaters now. He wants to ask them but Flitwick disrupts by starting his class.

When class finishes, he approaches Mary to ask why she's wearing one of his jumpers now. Lily had already run off to the library to study during her free period.

"Saw it lying around in the common room, thought it was yours and wouldn't mind if I borrowed it" Mary says while admiring the jumper.

'Borrowing'. That's how it starts. Soon he'll have no jumpers for himself.

It seems stupid to get mad over a couple of jumpers so Remus leaves it alone but can't help starting to feel a little frustrated about it. Have the others just been lying his jumpers all over the common room for the others to find like easter eggs?

2 weeks pass and surely not all of them wear his jumpers everyday. But all of them are now regularly seen in them. Remus starts to think it's a prank that the other marauders planned. How else can there be an explanation for this to be happening all of a sudden.

'Pretty pathetic prank, if you ask me'. He thinks while cutting his sandwiches. Sirius, Marlene and Peter are all wearing one of his jumpers today at breakfast.

"Don't you all have clothes for yourself?"

The three of them realize he's talking to them and they laugh.

"I'm sorry Remus but I understand why these three have been stealing them." Marlene says as she hugs and admires the jumper she's wearing. Happens to be one of Remus' favorites too.

"It's true Moony, you can't blame us with your immaculate taste in clothing." James says as he's standing up and quickly shoves the last of his food into his mouth. "Come on, you two." He says addressing Sirius and Marlene. "Quidditch practice."

Both Marlene and Sirius groan. "Why always so early, Prongs." Sirius complains as he also finishes his food quickly and catches up with James. "See you after practice, Moony" He calls out before he is out of sight and earshot.

Peter ran off too, probably to watch them from the stands. Quidditch never interested Remus one bit. He'd go to the matches to support his friends but even then he'd usually bring a book to read. They never seemed to mind. Sirius and James just appreciate coming to the matches a lot already, and so does Marlene.

Being left with Mary and Lily, he asks the question again why they too are suddenly wearing his jumpers all the time. Which Lily responds to with "I don't know what to tell you Remus, they really are just very comfy. Take it as a compliment"

'Won't take it as a compliment when I don't have any left.' He thinks but doesn't actually say it

They finish their breakfast as they now too get up but instead of the quidditch pitch they head to the library. On the way there, all Mary does is complain that she needs new friends who don't just do quidditch and study. Lily and Remus don't pay much attention to it as they laugh it off knowing Mary loves them to bits anyway or she wouldn't be following them to the library.

When quidditch practice is about to end, Remus gathers all his stuff together to put in his bag so he can meet Sirius down by the quidditch pitch like they agreed.

As he walks down to the quidditch pitch, he sees Marlene coming up already. Practice must have ended a little early cause Remus definitely wasn't late, according to the time Sirius gave him to meet him.

What catches his eye next is that Dorcas is walking with Marlene wearing his fucking jumper. Now Marlene is giving his jumpers to her girlfriend? What the hell is happening. Soon everyone in the school will be in his jumpers.

"Are you pranking me?" He asks when he gets to the changing rooms where Sirius, James and Peter were talking, probably waiting for him.

"What?" Peter asks.

"I just saw Dorcas in my jumper, why is everyone suddenly wearing my jumpers?" He asks, getting very frustrated with the whole thing.

"It pains me you think we'd do a prank that lame." James says. "Maybe the girls have found their mischievous sides and they did it."

"Come on, Pads. I need a spliff." Remus says as he grabs Sirius' hand and drags him off towards the greenhouses where they usually share a spliff on weekends.

"I don't understand why this is bothering you, you never said a thing when it was just us." Sirius says taking a drag and passing it to Remus.

"But now it's the girls too." Remus says like that changes everything. "Marlene gave the one she was wearing to Dorcas. Am I not allowed to be a little weirded out about that?"

"Dorcas is our friend too though, even if she is in slytherin." Sirius says with a little resentment, undoubtedly thinking of his little brother.

"I'm not saying she isn't but I don't particularly enjoy sharing my clothes with the whole school." Remus says as he's rolling another spliff cause one wasn't enough. Sirius laughs which makes Remus look up at him.

"Can you imagine?" Sirius begins. He makes a big gesture with his hands as if displaying a big sign, "New school uniform effective immediately, available in Remus Lupin's wardrobe." Remus chuckles as Sirius bursts out laughing thinking he's the funniest person on the planet.

"Still don't like it." Remus says being grumpy again about his precious clothes. "Next, everyone will be stealing all my socks."

"You do have pretty cool socks."

"Don't even think about it." He says and pushes Sirius with a little shove against the wall so he's leaning against it now.

"And what if I do?" Sirius asks teasingly knowing where his mind has gone to.

"You're high." He says but moves closer anyway.

"I really just want Moony socks." Sirius says innocently throwing his hands up but Remus can't help but notice the little smirk thats forming on Sirius' face.

"You can have my entire wardrobe." He says and kisses Sirius hard but full of passion.

Remus tries to let the whole thing go and not let it bother him so much. It's still a mystery to him how all of a sudden, out of nowhere, all his friends are wearing his sweaters. More and more are Dorcas and other friends outside of Gryffindor seen in his jumpers. He makes peace in his mind by saying that as long it's just his friends, it's fine.

Until one Hogsmeade weekend, when Remus is getting ready and went to grab one of his jumpers from his wardrobe but found it empty. Not a single one left.

He feels himself filling up with rage. Which he still thinks is stupid over a couple of jumpers but they're his comfort and refuses to go without. "WHERE IN MERLIN'S NAME ARE ALL MY JUMPERS." He yells out, without being able to control himself.

Sirius who was still half asleep, jumped awake going into defensive mode out of instinct from the yelling. Peter and James already went down to the common room.

"Take one of mine." Sirius says sleepily and falls back down on the pillow they share at night cause it never occurs to either of them to take Sirius' pillow too since they always share Remus' bed.

"Unacceptable." Remus mutters and slams the dorm door shut behind him as he goes down to the common room.

"Finally, when's the lover boy coming down?" James asks when he sees Remus coming down the stairs. The others have been waiting to leave for Hogsmeade for a while now.

"I want my jumpers back." Remus says through gritted teeth, still having no idea why he's so angry about this.

"We thought you didn't mind?" Marlene asks.

"Oh yeah I didn't until you started giving them out to your girlfriend. And you," pointing at Mary now. "Giving them to Emmeline. And you, Lily, giving them to Pandora. And whoever the fuck else."

The entire group falls silent taken back by Remus' little outburst.

"I don't even have one for myself. I want them back!" Remus says again.

"Okay we'll give them back. We're sorry." Lily speaks for the group. Remus calms down a little when Peter, Mary and Marlene start taking off the jumpers they're currently wearing which are Remus'.

"We thought it was okay, I'm sorry." Marlene says as she hands him the sweater she was wearing. "I'll get the one Dorcas has too." She says guiltily.

Remus feels a little embarrassed about getting so angry about a few jumpers but he loves them. When it was just the marauders, he could always find them back because they shared a dorm. But with all his friends involved in this little habit Sirius started in first year, all his jumpers are spread out through the entire castle and it feels like he lost something.

He lets out a deep breath out of relief. He'll get his jumpers back.
