The One With The Plan

“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!”

Mary is angry, why the hell is Howard following her into the woods?

Mary could feel the anger bubbling within her. She has always had a bad temper, especially when it came to people she didn’t like, which seemed like everyone.

“CRAP CRAP CRAP, DAMN IT!”

“Are you going to tell me why you're so mad? We just got out of whatever that was, alive!”

“DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND, YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!”

“No, I don’t understand, that's kinda why I need you to tell me.”

“THAT ARTEFACT THAT YOU GRABBED FROM ME IS A FAMILY HEIRLOOM I WAS GONNA-”

Tudor stops and gulps.

“you were gonna?”

“It's not important!” She says defensively “WHAT IS IMPORTANT-”

“do you ever stop yelling?”

Tudor’s face contorted from a mad look into a furious look. That probably was not the best thing to say to someone who is clearly angry but, too late now.

“I SWEAR-”

Tudor’s rant was interrupted by Neapolitan jumping up on Tudor and pawing at her.

“Awww, look he likes you!”

Tudor looks a bit conflicted before shaking the pup off and displaying her usual grumpy grimace, “Argh! Get off me mutt.”

“Meanie.” Katherine muttered as she scanned the area

“Why do you have that, hound anyway.” She pauses for a moment, Katherine looks at her as she continues “Whatever I don’t care, I'm leaving.”

Just as she said she starts walking back towards the castle and stashes the emblem into her cloak.

“What? Your leaving me here, you can’t leave me here!” Katherine whines.

“Then follow me, literally no one is stopping you! I swear you are a moron.”

“And you're the most difficult person I have ever met.”

-

They trekked back to the castle in silence with Tudor a bit ahead. Katherine wonders what Tudor is thinking, if she knows whatever that was they just went through, if she’s genuinely mad at Katherine, or even if she hates dogs! Who in their right mind hates dogs? Even her father likes dogs and he is the toughest person Katherine knows. Erh- was the toughest person, that's before she met this raincloud, Mary Tudor. She is a tough nut to crack for sure, but this was Katherine's specially, sooner or later Tudor will be all Katherine’s. Katherine’s friend of course, what were you thinking?

“My god you're so slowww,” Tudor said slurring a bit, she was clearly out of breath

“sorry.” Katherine was too deep in thought to give a better answer and defend herself so she just sped up.

They were just making it into the castle when Tudor start taking.

“don’t do that.”

what?

“huh?”

“you heard me.”

Now Katherine was confused what was she doing that was offending her now?

“I don’t unde-“

“And what are you two doing out of bed?”

uh oh

“shit”

Headmaster Aragon stood right in front of them

“Well?”

She was a scary woman that’s for sure, that was one of the very first things Katherine noticed about her. She’s always calm and resilient which made her even more terrifying, even Neapolitan was cowering behind her. Katherine was just about to get on her knees to plead and beg for forgiveness but Tudor had other plans.

“We got lost on our way to the common room, we were coming from the beach and we just ended up in circles.”

“Right..” She didn’t seem very convinced “You see, I would think you would know your way around by now, especially since this is not your first late-night stroll around the castle, Ms. Tudor.”

“Well I don’t have the greatest memory, Mrs. Aragon” Tudor returned with an agitated face.

What is she THINKING? Sassing the headmaster? I’m so dead. What is my mother gonna say?

While Katherine was about to break down, Someone approached the group

“Professor Aragon, I can vouch for these girls, I sent Ms. Howard and Ms. Tudor to go deliver a letter to the owlery for me, Come along girls i’ll show you back to the Slytherin common room.” Katherine recognised that voice! It was the same voice she listened to lecture all week about transfiguration, Professor Seymour!

Tudor conveyed a smug look while Katherine was still about to break down as they scurried after their Professor.

“Headmaster” Seymour dipped her head and followed after the girls.

“Hm”

-

The group were currently making their way down to the dungeons in silence. No one had said a word since they parted ways with Headmaster Aragon. So Katherine decided to clear the air.

“Professor?”

Professor Seymour turned to look at Katherine “Yes, dear?”

“Why did you lie and save us?”

“Save you?” She laughed “I guess Headmaster Aragon can be a bit intimidating at times”

Katherine looked down.

A bit?

“Well let's see,” Seymour said catching Katherine's attention once more “The castle is hard to navigate no matter how long you've been here, hell, I’m not even used to it yet, And I know you're not a bad kid Katherine,”

Professor Seymour peered down at Katherine and smiled

“I trust you”

-

The girls and Neapolitan were just walking into the common room when Mary spoke up.

“We need to talk.”

You’ve been silent this whole way and now you wanna talk?

“What, do you, wanna talk about?” Katherine asked very confused

“Sit down”

So Katherine sat on one of the common room armchairs with Neapolitan. The common room was empty since it was so late, and yet Tudor still seemed so, impassive. She was pacing back and forth in front of them arms crossed. It looked like she was thinking, to be honest, she probably had been thinking the whole way, had Katherine too.

Mary didn’t look like she was about to start talking so Katherine took things into her own hands.

“I need to know what is going on, like, what was all, that whole thing about.” Mary stopped pacing and turned to Katherine, face blank “What were you doing there? Why did that thing-?”

Tudor interrupted “Have you heard the rumours about students going missing? I’m sure you have everyone has, well there true. The other night I woke up from one of my dormmates making some ruckus in the dorm. I got up to tell them off but when I looked up they were slowly stalking their way to the door. Her-” Tudor paused “She wasn’t herself, she was almost in a trance of sorts. I tried snapping her out of it but she wouldn’t budge she just kept walking until she was out of the common room. I followed her all the way out of the castle and into the forbidden forest. She walked and walked until we made it to the tomb we were just at. That's when she took out this.”

Tudor reached into her cloak and grabbed the same flytrap emblem she opened the tomb door before and held it up.

“She used this to open the door and entered. I continued to follow her down into the tomb, until we passed the gold room, you know the one with all the riches that we were in. And I saw it, an heirloom, my heirloom, well my father's but it doesn’t matter. But when I looked back the girl was gone I had lost her. I was so tired and freaked out that I just decided to return to bed. On my way back some professor had caught me sneaking back into the castle.”

“Wait I’m confused”

Tudor angrily sighed “I swear-”

“No, no I get all that but- how did you get the key thingy and why are you telling me?”

“Do you think I want to tell you? No! I have to.” Tudor looked agitated.

“That just confused me more-”

Tudor cut her off “JUST, let me explain”

“The next day, after the whole midnight adventure I had, the girl was just back in bed and acted like nothing had happened. So I did the only thing I could think of, I stole the key thing from her so I could get my family heirloom-”

“greedy” Katherine said under her breath.

“Are you gonna let me finish or not?”

“sorry.”

“So I rummaged through her crap, until I found it. So that night I went to the forbidden forest and, well you know the rest from there cause you were stalking me.”

“What any different from me stalking you than you following people?”

“Cause I’m better than all those losers.”

Katherine would never understand how she said stuff like that in such confidence.

“Wait so why did you leave the heirloom behind- wait no it flew, wait why did it fly and knock us back?”

“Because that artefact wasn’t your everyday boring artefact, it’s a Tudor family heirloom and it's special. That particular one is called The Covalent Statuette it had an ancient curse applied to it and it is that If two entities touch it at the same time they will be bounded together.”

“Sooo what does that mean exactly”

“IT MEANS THAT WE ARE NOW STUCK TOGETHER. WE CANNOT BE AWAY FROM A CERTAIN DISTANCE FROM ONE ANOTHER.” Mary talked to her like a child, but just very loud.

Katherine still looked confused

“Oh my god I’m bounded to an idiot, here, watch this.”

Tudor start to walk away until she got about 10ish feet away then

“What ar-”

      BAMM

         CLASH

They were both swiped up and forward until they came crashing into one another.

“what, the hell” Katherine looked up wincing to see Tudor standing over her.

“See what I mean now? We're stuck together.”

“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, wha- how I- what?”

“Well you better get used to this because we're stuck like this for now.”

“What do you mean for now?” Katherine stood up fixing her clothes.

“What do you mean what do I mean for now? Do you wanna be stuck like this forever?”

“No, I mean this could be forever? When does this wear off?” Katherine looked at her.

“I have no clue” Tudor shugged

“WHAT”

“what? How am I supposed to know?”

“ITS YOUR HEIRLOOM!?”

“So?”

“YOU KNEW IT’S NAME BUT YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT?”

“yea” Tudor said with a nod

Katherine looked tense

“Chill out, I’ll figure it out, trust me, I don’t wanna be stuck to the perfect Katherine Howard.” Said as she walked toward the female dormitories.

Huh? Perfect? I’m far from- Okay not really I’m as close to perfect as one girl can be.

“Come onnn, I don’t wanna be flung across the room again” Tudor groaned

“Im coming, I’m coming”

They were about to enter their rooms when Tudor realised

“wait- we can’t go into our dorms their too far apart”

“Oh fu-”
