Chapter 10

-Malfoy!

Draco heard calling behind him in the corridor, he turned to see Flint approaching him with a clearly frustrated look on his face.

-Where have you been?!- he said in a thunderous tone.

-We're in a school, Flint, I've been studying-he said with obviousness. To tell the truth, he didn't like Flint, neither in his first life nor in the next one-Do you need anything?-

-Yes I do- Flint looked offended-I need your skinny ass on a broomstick! The game is in less than two weeks and you haven't been to the training sessions! -

Draco grimaced. He couldn't care less about quidditch right now, he had more important things to think about. It had been two days and he still couldn't come up with the perfect plan to stop the war, which made him a little nervous.

-You know I'm hurt-

-Hurt? Your arm is perfect- Flint pointed to Draco's arm which was already without bandages or even a scar-so cut the crap, I want you at training this afternoon and you better give more than you've got. I won't allow another lost match because you can't beat Potter on a broom.

-kick me out then- Draco said simply.

He hadn't really thought it through, it was more of a quick thought but it only took him a few seconds to realize that it would be his best option. He wasn't going to get on a broom anytime soon and getting Flint off his back gave him more freedom to do his other things. There was also the fact that he knew he would never beat Potter. The boy was too talented for the 13 year old Draco's horror and shame for the 25 year old.

Flint looked blank for a few moments before returning to his hard expression.

-I'd take you out, yes, but your father would take away our brooms and we need them- he said.

Draco, even from when he first joined the team, knew deep down that he did it for his father's help and even if after that he sweated, bled and struggled for his position as a Seeker, helping to win several matches, he never could against Gryffindor's youngest Seeker and that always bothered Flint, as did his overbearing attitude.

-What little confidence in your team if you think that the only thing that keeps us above Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw is a slightly faster broom- his mouth twisted into a gesture of disapproval-And my father can't take anything from you, he already gave them away, they're already house property and it would be really bad for my family's reputation to take away something we've already given-

-And wouldn't it also be bad for it if his only heir to be taken off the team for incompetence? -An arrogant smile was painted on Flint's face and Draco swore he felt a twitch in his eyebrow with anger.

Flint wasn't the most competent captain either.

-I quit then -He shrugged -I won't be playing quidditch so I don't care about the silly school matches-

-What? You know it's more than that! It's keeping our house name up, it's...

-Well, you go on with it. Draco Malfoy resigns from his position as Seeker-

The changes started now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-No Luna- Draco corrected the girl who was sitting next to him on the middle-courtyard lawn- It's not just calling the object, you have to summon it with force and have its image well visualized-

-But you make it look so simple- claimed the girl.

-Because I've known it for years, at first it's like this. With time it will become much easier and you will be able to summon almost anything-

It was Friday. He had already had three classes with the Ravenclaw and every day it was getting easier for the younger girl to attract objects, although she still lacked some practice. Lupin was finally back to teaching his classes normally and their meetings were back to normal, but now he had to add the breaks between classes to teach Luna the spell he had promised. It honestly didn't bother him, it wasn't like he couldn't do other things while he was with the blonde, it was just that keeping Pansy and Blaise away was getting harder and harder. For some reason they seemed determined to spend time with him, or at least for time with him so that Blaise would go away leaving him alone with Pansy.

Draco suspected it had something to do with the Hogsmeade outing, where he had managed to avoid the horrifying date in the tea room.

Maybe it was time to be honest with her and avoid her flirtations, but that would lead to other problems with their families that he didn't want to think about right now.

-Accio scarf! - Luna's voice brought him back to reality just to see the girl's scarf, placed several feet away from them, gently return to its owner - I did it! -

-I told you it wasn't that hard- Draco said, returning his gaze to his notebook. He had spent the last few days writing down more of what he remembered happening in the future. Everything was going to hell next year so he had to do something to stop it but he couldn't remember what. He was missing a key point that his memory refused to jot down. His brow furrowed as he forced himself to remember, amidst all the accumulation of tragedies and horrible events, what key point he was missing.

-Accio Draco's quill! -The quill was plucked from Draco's hand into Luna's.

-Hey- Draco exclaimed in confusion-what for?-

- I can almost see the puffbleins flying around your head- she said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

-You mean puffskeins- Draco corrected her-and there aren't any of those in Hogwarts, not that I'm aware of.

-No, puffbleins- Luna corrected him with a smile- They are tiny spirits that feed on your bad moods and worries-

-That's nice, isn't it? -

-Of course not! Not only do they feed on it, but they also provoke more! -

Draco assumed that this was another creature invented by the girl but decided to play along.

-Hell, how do I get rid of them- he asked with feigned curiosity which Luna didn't notice and if she did she didn't care, he placed his elbow on his leg so he could rest his face in his hand in a not so comfortable way.

-You should relax and think happy thoughts, they don't like the taste of joy- Luna played with Draco's feather between her fingers, stroking the softness of the beard.

Draco thought about it for a second.

-So they're like Dementors but small-he gave her a half-smile.

-Dementors feed on your happiness! Puffbleins prefer sadness and anger- Luna corrected.

-But in the end they both leave you sad and desolate- Draco added.

-If a Dementor attacks you, you are left soulless! Puffbleins can be very annoying, but as long as you're thinking happy thoughts you can get rid of them- Luna said with much more conviction-They're not the same thing at all. It's like saying that a dragon and a Drake are the same thing-

Again, Luna had a valid point.

-Yes well, I thought it was odd that there weren't more emotion vampires in the wizarding world- Draco said, agreeing with Luna's ideas.

-There are many interesting creatures, like the Crumple-Horned Snorkacks- she said excitedly and Draco couldn't help but smile even as he rolled his eyes upwards in disbelief.

-Whatever you say, Luna- Draco reached out his hand and without a spell or a wand managed to snatch his quill back out of Luna's hand, leaving the girl more than surprised. Causing him to feel a little smug.

Without his magic as powerful as it was now, he couldn't have done it nonverbally before; what pleased him most was that the feather came quickly but not too hard. The meditations were bearing little fruit. Returning his gaze to the notebook on his lap, he wrote down another memory:

Dementor attack on the quidditch match.

Inwardly he wondered if he should do something about it. It wasn't very important, after all no one got hurt. It was dangerous, though. He would think about it. It was still a week away anyway.

-Will you tell me what you're so worried about? - Luna asked, looking around.

Draco sighed. It was better to complain out loud than to keep complaining and cursing himself.

-I have a project- he began to explain, looking down at his notebook again, the quill placed on top of his last writing waiting to be used again,-it's going well but I'm missing one important detail to finish it- frustrated he pressed the tip of the quill hard causing it to spill a large black drop of ink, leaving a small mess. Draco let go of the pen and his shoulders slumped with a sigh, -It's on the tip of my tongue, I just have to remember it, it's like the memory escapes me every time I try to pick it up-

Draco looked at Luna again, but she wasn't looking at him, she was looking towards the castle. Several students were passing through the gallery on their way to their classes or other activities. He was about to catch the young girl's attention when she began to speak, surprising him a little.

-My mother used to say-she said in a soft tone-That what we are looking for will come to us when we least expect it-

The blond listened to her carefully, it wasn't the best advice ever or a super new one but Luna using a piece of advice that her passed away mother gave her in life to try and help him made Draco feel warm in his chest.

-Thank you Luna, you're right, that memory will come back- his voice was soft with a gentle smile at the girl.

Luna turned to look at Draco with a slight confusion on her face.

- Your memory and my shoes, look there they are-

She pointed to one of the columns in the gallery where a pair of school shoes were hanging, not too far from there was a group of ravenclaw girls giggling not too discreetly.

Draco with an exasperated sigh brought a hand to his forehead to rub his temples.

-Accio Luna's shoes- he said without thinking about it first.

The shoes flew from the column towards them with excessive speed. Luna let out a shriek of surprise and shock as the items passed in front of her face like a bolide.

Draco, who wasn't paying attention, took a couple of whacks to the head.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-We've only been doing the meditations for a couple of weeks, your progress will get better as time goes on-Lupin explained as he looked at Draco's nucleus, which was almost as one but still glowing with the magical intensity that two cores meant. Draco had been telling him about the incident with the shoes and how he had been able to control his magic quite well before-It could also be that because you weren't paying attention, you used more magic than necessary. -

-I can't go on like this- Draco complained, -I can use no magic, but someone's going to start noticing-

-You suspect someone is on to you? -

Draco remembered how a couple of days ago he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth, the last one to enter the bathroom, when Blaise appeared to tell him to hurry up and saw him like a weirdo with his toothbrush in his mouth. He didn't have to explain anything as the brunet didn't ask but Draco could tell he found it odd.

Then there was the incident in transfigurations where they had to transform a frog into a bench and unlike his classmates who made stone benches much like McGonagall's example, Draco's ended up being an intricately chiseled bench design with beautiful detail. His teacher seemed pleased at the time but before leaving class she asked him for a word and asked him to please stick to the orders a little more.

Draco thought that at least a couple of people might be wondering about his activities.

-Spells has been torture, I can't keep excusing my injury to Flitwick-he said tensely, -Everyone knows there is no injury now!

He had managed to get through a couple of those classes using an unthinkable amount of concentration so as not to mess up his spells, but every now and then one attempt would go wrong or come out too strong, causing confusion for his teacher and his classmates. He blamed it on a wrong move caused by the pain in his arm but that lie wouldn't hold up forever, especially without the blindfold.

Lupin seemed to think for a second, undoing the revision spell by turning off Draco's nucleus light to go sit on the floor facing Draco. He motioned with his hand, patting the floor in front of him. Draco understood the message and moved to sit in the lotus position in front of his master.

-We're going to try something at the end of this session, all right- Lupin informed him in a calm voice, waiting a second until Draco nodded in agreement-Right, let's get started-

Draco could now meditate on his own with much more ease than at the beginning, but he could never go more than 20 minutes without some thought or idea leading him down another very dark path. With Lupin's deep, calm voice as his guide, Draco was able to concentrate much more, and listening to his teacher helped drown out the other voices in his head.

They carried the normal meditation routine through to the visualization part, by this time Draco was feeling calm and numb, in a much better mental space than he would normally be in. They were at the part where he visualized himself with a barrier around his body that only allowed magic to exit through his fingers, it was the same mental image he used when performing magic.

-Good, now I need you to open your eyes-Lupin ordered and Draco did so, his gray eyes not fully open but attentive to the image of his master- Now grab your wand- Draco did so, at a slow pace he grasped his wand between his fingers with his hands on his leg, -Very good, now...- Draco isn't quite sure where he got it from but his Lupin placed a glass cup between them-You will cast an Aguamenti until the glass is full and remember, your magic only comes out of your fingertips-.

Draco took a deep breath, first he imagined the water coming out of his wand in a small, controlled stream until the glass was full, then he raised his wand and made the motion.

-Aguamenti -

He whispered, he could feel his magic running from his fingertips channeled into his wand. The stream of water came out just as he wanted it to, which made him happy.

He held the image of his magic coming out of his fingers for a few moments before it started to feel like too much, he felt his magic wanting to come out more and more. He saw his nuclei as light and how they softened their glow leaving only the amount of magic he needed to act, but it wasn't possible. The light did not dim, it only glowed brighter, refusing to soften its magnificence. His brow furrowed, he used all his strength and concentration to finish filling the glass but it was not enough.

One moment it was a gentle trickle and the next an uncontrolled hose.

Draco heard Lupin scream as the water drenched him and began to spray into the room.

-Draco! Stop!-

Lupin shouted getting up from the wet ground but Draco couldn't, his magic wasn't listening to him, it was just flowing out and out of his body creating more and more water.

The boy had to drop his wand to stop the tidal wave he caused. The wood of the wand echoed in the room along with the splashing it caused.

-Urrggggh- Draco growled shrilly in frustration, bringing his hands to his face and curling in on himself, not caring how his trousers were getting wet from sitting there- it was going so well! Damn it! -

He could hear his rapid breathing, heavy with frustration at his failure. He couldn't do anything right, not even control his own magic. How would he be able to change anything if he couldn't even perform basic spells with accuracy. Voldemort would return and it would be his fault, for not being able to do basic things. Surely Potter or even his father could control themselves by this point if they had the same problem, but he couldn't, because he was good for nothing but getting in the way. Now he had also ruined Lupin's office, the only person who believed in him.

fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck- He whispered to himself, his hands still on his face and his nails were starting to dig into his flesh.

If he couldn't even force his brain to remember a bloody key event to save the bloody world, it was clear he couldn't handle this. He wasn't built for that much power, never had been and never would be.

-Hey hey- Lupin knelt down in front of his pupil, -None of that okay? -

The older man grabbed his student's hands, gently but authoritatively moved them away from his student's face.

Draco's blond hair fell messily over his forehead almost hiding the red marks his fingernails left on his white flesh. His look was one of anger and frustration, his brow deeply furrowed and his lips curved slightly downwards.

Remus scowled at the marks but quickly changed his expression to a calmer one.

-Hey, it's alright, this was our first test-he said in an attempt to calm his pupil-We'll try one more time, you'll get better-

Draco curled in on himself more, avoiding the older one's gaze, even though his hands were still held by his teacher, preventing him from hiding completely. Draco thought it would be a waste of time, if they tried again the result would be the same.

-Come on, Draco. You know that not everything comes out the first time- Lupin tried to encourage him- It's a matter of practice-

Draco heard his father's voice in the back of his mind telling him that a Malfoy had to be exceptional at everything, but he also heard a memory.

¨It's alright Draco, you won't do everything on the first try. Just keep your spirits up!¨

It was Sheila on one of his first days at work in the cafeteria, when he still didn't know how to do almost anything well and the espresso machine was getting on his nerves.

He remembers staying late in the cafeteria to learn how to make the orders properly, the times he burnt himself with the milk or how his designs on the lates were an artistic horror the first few times, but he got better. With effort and dedication he learned to make all the types of coffees they served and even a couple of desserts, it took time but he did it, with effort he did it.

It was his only chance at a good paying job and he didn't want to screw it up.

He also had an exceptional manager who put up with a lot in those first few weeks.

Draco looked at Lupin, who was also patient, kind and cooperative with him. This, too, was his only chance to make a change. He didn't know why fate had given him a second life, but he couldn't waste it crying because it didn't work out the first time.

He closed his eyes and took a long breath followed by an equally long sigh.

He had to put his effort into this, control his emotions and drown his doubts. Keep it all in until it exploded, and he hoped it would take a long time to explode.

-Sorry about the mess-he spoke at last, Lupin didn't have a hint of anger in his eyes, instead there was a soft, encouraging smile.

-That's fixable, don't worry- Lupin let go of Draco's hands- It's okay to be frustrated, but I told you once, you can achieve anything you set your mind to, it'll just take time-

Lupin stood up, held out his hand to help his pupil as well so they could both get off the wet floor.

-We should change our focus, I think- Lupin began to cast drying spells around the room, taking a few before everything was sufficiently dry and the water was gone.

-What do you mean? - Draco bent down to pick up his wand. A shiver ran down his spine as Lupin cast a drying spell on him, the sudden warmth a stark contrast to the damp, cold feeling he'd had a second ago.

-I mean, clearly the visualization we're using right now isn't working quite right-

No shit, Draco thought.

-So what do you propose, then? -Draco went to sit at the table again, fiddling with his wand, he might not be consumed by his demons anymore (for now) but that didn't mean he wasn't still sad and disappointed in himself.

-How about I leave it as homework for you? On Monday you'll bring one idea and I'll bring another, we'll see which one channels your magic better. How about it? - Lupin offered in an overly optimistic tone, Draco thought, as he sat down in front of him.

-Yei me, more homework,-he said sarcastically without even looking at his teacher-I'll figure something out-

Now, besides thinking about how to stop the dark lord, he had to get back to worrying about his magic.

Fucking great.

Draco looked away towards a cluster of books and papers on Lupin's desk, out of the corner of his eye he could see a diary and the constantly looping image of the day Black was caught. He opened his eyes with new interest, curiosity beginning to grow.

-Can I ask you something? - He looked back up at Lupin who nodded,-It's... quite personal-

Lupin looked at the boy for a second, thinking about his answer.

-Ask me Draco, it's up to me to answer you or not-he said, folding his hands on the table- Before that, I imagine you've already solved the issue because we spoke the other day, right? I didn't hear of any injured students in the Sickbay, so it must have gone well.

Draco shrunk in on himself a little, the problem still wasn't solved at all but Remus couldn't know that.

-Yeah, I managed to keep the... incident from happening- it wasn't his best lie but from the look of peace on Lupin's face he guessed it happened-Thanks again for your help, you weren't even supposed to, you were sick and I was a bit of a hassle-

-Don't talk about yourself like that, I'm always happy to help-Lupin spoke objectively.

¨Except on a full moon," Draco thought to himself. He also wondered what Lupin would look like in his wolf form,he didn't have the grotesque half-wolfish features that Greyback so enjoyed maintaining. He knew it was a curiosity he would never satisfy, he would never go near a werewolf on a full moon again, thank you very much.

-Yeah, well- Draco played it down-I wanted to know...how do you feel about Black? You were friends, very good friends from what you tell me...you, are you alright with all this stuff about him being in the castle?-

Draco watched as Remus deflated a little, his optimism fading as his eyes seemed to remember better times, hands on the table clasped together.

-Sirius... he was my great friend, I cherished him like no one else- Lupin began, his voice deepening, a trait Draco noticed happened every time he spoke of a difficult subject for him, -but what he did was unforgivable and if he really is in the vicinity of the castle trying to get to Harry-the anger, sadness and resentment dripped from every word Lupin spoke,-it just goes to show that he was never who I thought he was. People can change Draco, that's something I've told you, but sometimes they change for the worse.-

Draco felt his teacher's sadness, he could almost imagine the pain of your best friend betraying his whole group in such a horrible way, he felt it when he lost Blaise and Pansy; and he knew the pain of a horrible death of someone close to you from what happened to Greg.

But Draco knew that things were not as Lupin thought, Black was innocent, he was not the traitor everyone thought but Pettigrew, who sold out the Potters for protection for himself.

Draco frowned at the memory of those events, he felt that some information was missing there but just as before he couldn't put his finger on what it was, he couldn't go on either as Lupin caught his attention.

-But you don't have to worry, they'll catch him again soon, the dementors will be gone and everything will be normal again around here- he said.

Draco could tell that Lupin was feigning good humor in his tone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Draco was walking towards the great hall, he had promised Pansy that he would meet her and others in the great hall for breakfast and then go to Hogsmade, he hoped that the excitement of the town would pass quickly so he could avoid going out every bloody weekend.

He decided to take a little longer in the shower that day so he was going to breakfast late.

A slythein sweater and a pair of black trousers along with his black polished shoes were his outfit for the day, simple and functional. He also carried his slytherin scarf in case the cold got worse. Her blonde fringes parted more to the left framed his face, Draco felt the ends tickle the sides of her face, a little below eye level. A little more and he would be able to tuck it easily behind his ear, he could also feel the growth at the nape of his neck, where his soft, wavy hair had grown beyond its normal cut.

Maybe he should get a trim while he was in Hogsmade, he didn't really care. Even in his first life he kept his hair short, Larry was good with scissors so he didn't have to pay for barbers and stuff but now he wasn't sure he cared about the length of his hair, not with everything he had on hand.

Like thinking of another method to control his magic.

Urggg

He was going to get a headache.

He was in the middle of a big yawn when he heard a dungeon door open and unconsciously turned in the direction of the sound. The door was that of Snape's office and rooms, who was standing there staring at Draco.

-Draco-Snape called,-Come in-

The Head of House ordered before turning around and walking into his office, leaving the door open for the boy.

Draco stared at the door for a second, he might as well leave and continue ignoring his teacher like the rest of the days.

-Come in boy- Snape's voice sounded a little angrier than it normally does.

Draco sighed, sensing that he would regret this, and approached the office, standing in the doorway with the door open.

-you called, Professor- he said in a calm, political tone.

-Did you quit the quidditch team? - Snape asked straight to the point.

Draco thought this conversation was a little late, it had been several days since he resigned and no one had mentioned it until now, maybe Flint waited until he had his replacement before admitting he had resigned, who knows.

-Yes -

-Why?- Snape raised an eyebrow.

-Why do you care? -Draco raised his eyebrow in the same way.

-Because, I'm the Head of this house and I should be aware of what's going on with our team as well-

-Well, ....you already know it or not? - Draco shrugged his shoulders- If you'll excuse me, I have to go to breakfast-

Draco was turning to leave but the thunderous sound of two hands banging on the wood of a desk made him startle and turn around to see his godfather standing there, both hands on his desk and a huge angry scowl adorning his face. The boy had to admit he was a little startled.

-It's not over, kid! - Severus rounded the desk and stood in front of his godson, his height making him look more threatening than his anger already made him look - what's happened to you? Cohabitating with Lupin, no jokes towards Potter or Weasley, ignoring my warnings, recently you've been seen hanging around with Lonnie Lovegood as well-Draco frowned at Luna's mocking nickname-and now Flint tells me you've quit Quidditch. Last year you went on and on about how you'd be one of the best players Slytherin had ever seen and you pestered me to no end for extra training. What's happened to you, Draco!?-

To Draco Severus' eyes he looked furious but underneath that he could see traces of confusion in the man who called himself his godfather.

-I just... got bored- Draco said without much further explanation. In the end he owed his master none.

Draco could hear Snape start to scold him again, but since he couldn't care less, he sat back a little, looking around Snape's office. It wasn't much different from Lupin's, just bigger and a little darker, what stood out the most was the potions equipment in a far corner, well more than full potions equipment, Draco recognised the glass distilling equipment.

The flame at one end of the equipment was lit, bubbling a red liquid that condensed through a specialized tube and fell drop by drop into a flask at the end of the system.

Draco stared at the liquid drop by drop for a few seconds when an idea struck him.

-Your father has already been informed of this,-Severus said, finally catching Draco's attention, who looked at him with wide eyes-don't you dare judge me, it is part of my duty to inform your guardians of these things-

That meant he might as well have informed his mother, who would talk to him but would say nothing to Lucius until she had her son's side of the story, and Draco was almost certain that Snape knew that.

Severus looked just as angry, looking down at Draco from above as if trying to provoke a reaction from the boy.

Draco, though angry, did not have the energy for another confrontation so early in the day.

-Snitch- he said with resentment in his voice to his teacher before running off into the great hall.

He ran with all his might to the corridor leading to the Great Dining Hall, where he stopped to catch his breath before entering the dining hall with all the bustle of students from different grades.

Pansy held his hand for him to sit next to her and he did, as usual.

Blaise was sitting right in front of him and between them they got to talking with little participation in certain comments from Draco who was more focused on putting jam on his bread.

-Look at Loonie- Pansy whispered, making Draco focus his gaze on the Ravenclaw table, -She's so weird that even the Ravenclaw book-eaters don't want her around- the girl said mockingly.

Draco felt bad, the little blonde Ravenclaw had been excluded at the end of her table with a rather large space between her and the other students. The Slytherin could tell that Luna was used to that while the girl was happily eating her oatmeal.

-Don't call her that-

That was the only thing Draco said to Pansy with a seriousness that surprised the girl and annoyed her.

-Huuuuu Draco didn't know that you liked younger girls- Blaise joked, causing more annoyance in Pansy.

-Draco doesn't like Loonie- Pansy affirmed vehemently, causing the brunet to laugh.

Draco was about to intervene when all the owls and owls from the post office arrived, leaving letters and packages for their respective owners.

He was not surprised to see the beautiful imperial owl of his family carrying the now common package of treats that his mother sent along with a letter, the messenger left the package elegantly in front of its owner before leaving for its origin.

-Will you give us some of your chocolates this time? - Blaise asked

Draco, wanting to kill two birds with one stone, handed the box to a very flattered Pansy. That would calm the girl's discomfort and annoy Blaise.

That's what he gets for leaving Draco alone and set him with Pansy

He was about to open his mother's letter when a second letter fell behind it, with his father's neat handwriting on the envelope addressed to him.

Shit.

Draco felt his whole body tense up. Damn Snape, now he had to make sure Lucius wasn't in his business on top of everything else.

¨What a great godfather," he thought sarcastically as he opened the letter.

Draco,

It has come to my attention that you have deserted the quidditch team and your position as seeker, a highly acclaimed position to which you became entitled last year.

I must not inform you how expensive the brooms and other equipment I provided on your behalf to secure a place on the team were so that you are not using them to bring pride, not only to your house but also to your name and family. Instead of the news of your triumphs in the sport I get this unpleasant news that my son is a quitter with no ambition.

I know we Malfoys are not quitters and I have not raised one either, so I want coherent answers or the next news I receive of your name better be enclosed with a picture of your future triumph upon your return to the team, Draco.

You don't want to disappoint me.

We'll be expecting you for Christmas.

Lucius Abraxas Malfoy

Draco felt the urgent urge to bang his head against the table as he read the letter.

¨shitshitshitshitshitshitshit¨ he thought with anger and frustration.

So focused was he on that that he didn't notice when Pansy leaned over his shoulder to sniff at his letter.

-You left the Quidditch team!-the girl shouted, causing a great commotion and scaring Draco.

The blond looked at his friend who was more than surprised just like Blaise, he also noticed a strange silence in the room, when he turned to look, almost everyone in the great hall was looking in his direction, clearly alerted by Pansy's shout.

Draco turned to look at his friend with a sour expression on his face, he clenched and crumpled the letter from his father in his hands as he stood up and grabbed the letter from his mother.

-Shout louder Pansy, I don't think Hogsmade heard you-she said angrily to the girl who had the audacity to look embarrassed.

On his way to the door he could hear the murmurings and gossiping starting to grow in the room due to the revelation, just as he felt the gaze of several people glued to his back.

Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
