Summary
A short oneshot I wrote about Ron in 2021 (that's why its's so weird, sorry)--Ron Weasley has always felt jealous of his friends and siblings. Never talking to anyone, he left to the muggle world after the war. His friends are worried and try to find him. Will they be able to convince him he's worth something?
Note
I wrote this in 2021 and English is not my first language. Some things don't make any sense. Apologies for that.

Ron always felt jealousy. He felt jealous of his brothers and his sister when they got praised by his parents for doing something good. It didn’t even matter if they ever got mad at his siblings. Ron only saw the praising. Ron felt like he was the only sibling who didn’t get ever get praised.

When he went to Hogwarts he thought ‘Maybe now my parents will finally be proud of me. I’ll give my best to make them proud. I’ll try.’ But he met Harry. Even though he loved Harry and would never give their friendship away, he still felt jealous of him. He was jealous of him because Ron felt like his parents liked Harry more than him. His Parents were like so proud of him. All Ron wanted was his parents to be proud of him and now they were proud of Harry and didn’t even notice Ron. And when they did, they did because Ron did something wrong, and his parents were mad about it.
When Ron got prefect, everyone was surprised. They acted like Ron could’ve never been chosen to be something like that. When he’s honest he also didn’t think that they could chose him but even though he made it, his parents still weren’t proud of him. It hurt. It hurt a lot. He still thinks about it while the other ones have forgotten it by now. But to him it was really important. It showed him that all of them think Harry was and is better than Ron. And Ron thought like that too. Ever since he knew him, he always stood in the shadow of ‘The Great Harry Potter, The Boy who Lived’. And he was able to understand that. At some point he thought he wasn’t worth attention and didn’t deserve someone to be proud of him. He just accepted the fact that he was less worth than his friends. To be exact he was sure he was worth less than everyone. It obviously wasn’t true, but Ron didn’t have anyone telling him he’s worth anything. He just lived like that getting sadder every day.
No one noticed how Ron got quieter. No one noticed how he was feeling. And he didn’t want to tell anyone. ‘I don’t deserve to get help’ he thought. So things just got worse and worse.
At some point he didn’t even try getting his parents attention. He knew he wouldn’t get it, so why even try?

Well life went on, bad stuff happened in the battle of Hogwarts and Ron obviously didn’t get any happier. Ron distanced from his Surroundings and moved into a small house in the muggle world. He needed to get away from all the people he was so jealous of. He needed to get away from the sad people at home. He just needed to be away from everything.
Life got a bit better in the Muggle world, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the past and he missed his friends. But he just distracted himself from his thoughts and lived his life as good as he could.
What he didn’t know was that his friends were very worried about him. Ron just left without saying a word. They searched for him but couldn’t find him anywhere. They almost had given up when they remembered he could’ve left the wizarding world. They went to the muggles where they went on searching for their friend.

Obviously, it took a really long time but after some months they saw Ron in a Café where they wanted to eat. He sat there drinking a coffee, dreaming. The friends looked at each other and immediately ran over to Ron.
They forced Ron to talk to them and after some time he told them everything about his jealousy and about his sadness over the years. They had a long talk. It took months to convince him, but Ron went to Harry and Hermione to live with them for a short period of time. He actually was happy that his friend found him, but it still would take a lot time for him to get truly happy again.
