"I have to relax. I- need to focus on what's important."
What is important? Fathers gone and mothers life is forfeit until I-

More tears were pulled out of me.
"You are what everyone strives to be."
Myrtles wails momentarily stopped the room.
Another breathe
"You are going to succeed. You will redeem your family name and rebuild lost goodwill. You will prove them all wrong. You-"
Another wail. Another sob. But there isn't any ghost to blame now.
Just me.
Always just me.
"Alone. Now and forever."

Harry Potter was the antithesis of everything I ever believe- well, Hermione Granger is the actual antithesis to everything I've ever been taught but Potter up there on the list.
Thinking about it, as bad as it is having Potter catch me in a moment of weakness, it could have been worse. It could have been way worse....
But that's neither here nor there. It's time to focus on the present.
Glass is shattering all around me, cutting into my skin with alarming efficiency. Potter is more than likely preparing another curse.

With (some) delay, I threw myself towards the mirrors, towards my fifth limb, towards salvation. Potter had only momentarily casted his spell so I would be fine. I'd be fine. I-
Well, I wouldn't be fine.
Seeing me reach for my wand, Potter seemed to barely take a breathe before casting something a curse I had never even heard of at my chest.
I couldn't breathe.
