When Bella, Harry, and Percy got to school that morning they saw Lauren and Jessica hanging up posters for the spring fling. Although the dance seemed pointless considering the prom is two weeks after it.

"Hey, Jess," Bella said as they strolled by the two girls. "How was your camping trip?"

"It was actually-" Jessica was cut off. "Can't you see we are like...busy," Lauren said examining her flower acrylic nails. Lauren seized Jessica's wrist and began to saunter away. "Wait! Bella, do you wanna come gown shopping with us after school next Tuesday?"

"Uh. Sure?" Bella responded a little awkwardly due to Lauren's icy glare. "Oh. Are you guys going to Port Angeles?" Harry spoke up from his conversation with his brother. Bella looked at Jessica as she bobbed her head.

"Yea, what's up?"

"Can you pick up a text for me from 'Books and Nooks'? Aunt ReneΓ©'s store didn't have it."

"Yea. Sure. What's it called?" Bella responded.

"I just need our home economics text in Greek," Harry enunciated because they were starting that class the next semester.

"Okay!"

"Thanks, Bells," Harry said and he veered around back to his conversation.

...

Bella was exhausted. Mike and Eric had both already asked her to the dance. So when she was headed to her truck with Percy and Harry. Ready to go home she nearly blew a gasket when. Tyler came and knocked on her window. She rolled it down, annoyed. "Will- umm. Well." Bella just stared at him. Harry and Percy snickered from the backseat. They honestly felt bad for the guy. Tyler sucked in a breath. "Willyougotothedancewithme?" he said quickly.

"No. Sorry." Bella said not sugarcoating the harsh words. With that, she rolled her window up. Tyler looked crushed. Bella at this point did not care.

Bella looked in her rearview mirror. Edward Cullen and his family were in the car behind her. Laughing their bums off. She rolled her eyes and hit the gas.

When Edward got home he rushed to his piano. He thought back to the family meeting that occurred the evening of Friday.

Edward picked up on the thoughts of his family before he saw them. He had just gotten back from his well... people-watching...yea.

"Guys! You won't believe what I just saw!" he said not having to yell for his family to hear it. "Edward." the condescending voice of Rosalie Hale rang out through the house. "You weren't stalking that green-eyed boy again. We're you?" Rosalie said stepping onto the ground floor. Edward must have looked guilty because Rosalie smacked the back of his head.

Carlisle sighed. "What did you discover?"

"I- well first they were there and then they like disappeared after these two kids come out of nowhere." Edward rambled on. "Edward, slow down bud," Esme said rubbing his back as she passed. Edward calmed. "Ok. Start from the beginning. Who disappeared?" Carlisle asked calmly. "Harry, Bella, Percy, and two other kids that I don't know."

"Are you positive?"

"Yes, they disappeared with a little pop."

Edward and the others watched as Carlisle's eyes went wide. Edward tried to listen to his brain to figure out what the heck was going on but he began listing medicine types and what they're used for. "Carlisle, is it something bad?" Jasper asked cautiously. Carlisle stood slowly (which is new for a vampire.) and he motioned for them to follow him.

They ended up in the library. "I thought they disappeared decades ago. I was told that the last of their people got killed during the Holocaust in Germany during World War Two." Carlisle mumbled picking up a dusty book in the back right corner of the library. The title, Edward noticed read, 'The Holocaust for Dummies' written by Tabitha Bekenstien. Who Edward assumed was some rich lady who lived in Italy. "The Voltri gave this book to me last time I visited. I read it as they told me that a mysterious sender sent it from the city. They had someone similar to Alice y'know just much less powerful. They said her name is Sybill Tralawney. Who said that we may need it one day something about a prophecy? Anyway, they also said that in the year 1970, she disappeared and no one knows where she went."

Carlisle finished his story as everyone gaped at him. He opened the book and had he been human he might have coughed at the dust but instead, he wiped it away with his hand. The pages of the book were old and yellowed which made Edward wonder how this book was only around 100 years old.

"Ah, here we go. Witches."

"Witches? You mean like magic?" Emmett said laughing gruffly. "Precisely." Carlisle retorted dead serious. No pun intended. "The same witches my father hunted and killed. Whether or not they were magic at the time is the question." Carlisle began reading aloud to his family that had now surrounded him intrigued.

"Wizardkind were humans that were born with the ability to perform magic. An individual male human with magical ability was known as a wizard (plural: wizards), and an individual female human with magical ability was known as a witch (plural: witches), though "wizard" was sometimes used as a gender-neutral singular noun like "man" is to refer to humans. There were three statues of wizardkind: pure-blood, half-blood, and Muggle-borns, and they were relative to Squibs and Muggles.
The origins of wizardkind are unknown. Whether, in ancient times, some humans randomly discovered they had magic, some extraterrestrial beings or objects came with magic, or there was some sort of ritual or potion or pact, their origins remained a mystery. However, if it was the first, then some Muggle-borns may not have been the descendants of Squibs (as was most often theorized) but entirely new wizards, like the very first members of wizardkind. Magic is generally described as Β a supernatural force that can be used to override the usual laws of nature."

"Then it says nothing else about the civilization."

Edward looked over at Emmett who was laughing just seconds ago his jaw was now slack in surprise. "How about we go and think this over? Maybe go hunt." Esme suggested noticing Jasper's black eyes. The family quietly dispersed deep in thought.

Edward played the piano mulling over the new information. He noticed that it was becoming darker outside. He had a sudden urge. He needed to see an individual. He got up abruptly and ran. He saw a quaint house with bushes. He saw a low-hanging branch by a window on the second floor. He pulled himself up onto the branch and peered into the window. He saw a yellow-painted room with flower stickers on the wall. He saw a brown-haired girl in the bed. Bella. He silently opened the window and crawled in. Closing it he walked to the door, opened it, and peered into the door closest to Bella's. It was a room with a bunk bed. He saw two boys with unruly black hair yet only one was the one he was looking for.

He sat curled up in the corner and watched his muse. In the least creepy way possible. He also realized that the shields that kept him out during the day were somehow not up anymore. He watched the dream his muse was having. The dream consisted of a cemetery. Oddly enough. He saw a boy with golden hair and deep gray eyes. His muse appeared to be friends with the boy. He realized that Harry was holding the boy's hand tightly in fear. Edward heard a raspy voice. Kill the spare. There is a flash of green light and the boy is dead. Just like that.

Also just like the spider sitting in the corner. That spider was a Cellar spider. Otherwise known as a daddy long legs. Nonpoisonous. But it could still bite his muse. He must kill this spider immediately. He glared at the spider from his corner. He hoped that lasers would come out of his eyes and kill the spider.

Edward sat there for hours watching the pretty boy on the mattress on the other side of the room. When the sun began to rise he carefully climbed out the window and got back to his house. He showered, changed, and got into his car. His siblings got in with him and he began to drive to school.

Harry and Percy needed to finish a history assignment so they were in the library when Bella walked into the canteen alone. She sat at an empty table in the close center of the room. She noticed Edward muttering something to his siblings and getting up. He walked towards her table. Whispering rose around them as he sat down across from her. "Hi," he said looking at her.

"Hello," she said awkwardly having no idea why he was talking to her. "Where are your brothers?"

"In the library. Why?"

Edward shifted. "Just wondering. Anyway whatcha having for lunch?"

"A sandwich." Bella slid her bottle across the table hand to hand. Her ADHD was acting up. "I've given up trying to stay away from your brother." Bella stared at him. "Which one?"

"Harry."

Bella winced. Harry was not Edward's biggest fan at the moment. "Good luck with that." Bella snorted. "What do you mean?"

"Well, Harry dislikes you so to speak."

"Why?" Edward asked a pain crept up on the spot where his heart was supposed to beat, yet didn't. "Well did you bring up something like our parents?" Bella looked pointedly at Edward who stilled suddenly. Bella inhaled. "You did, didn't you?" Before Bella could say anything else the bell rang. She got up and grabbed her bag. "You coming?"

"Nah. I'm gonna skip this one. It's healthy to ditch sometimes." Bella laughed. "Okay well then."

"Bye see you later maybe," Bella said and she left for class.

When Bella got to class she did not expect the teacher to say "Hello class. Today we will be doing blood testing."

Bella felt faint she hated blood. War meant blood monsters meant blood magic meant blood.

Suddenly Bella understood why Edward skipped this class. "Uhh...may I go I already know my b-blood type." Bella managed to stutter out before rushing to the trash can and throwing up. Harry and Percy popped up and rushed to her Harry held her hair back and Percy gave her a sip of his water. "Ms. Lenord, may we take her to the nurse?" Percy asked, wincing when more came up. "Yes." Ms. Lenord said.

Harry led Bella out of the room Percy followed behind. "Hop on." Percy knelt and Bella got on a piggyback ride.

Harry still held her hand. They were walking to the office building towards the nurse. They saw Edward sitting under a tree on their way to the nurse. He and Edward met eyes and Edward got up. "Walk faster. Please." Harry muttered under his breath to Percy when he saw Edward coming closer. Faster.

Percy complied, but they were interrupted by Mike. To Harry's dismay. "Hey, Bella you wanna come to La Push with us?" Harry wanted to set his grandfather (on his godly father's side) on Mike right now.

"I'm sorry, but we need to" Percy began, but this is when Edward decided it was a good idea to finally catch up with them. Mike jabbering, Percy trying to get Bella to the infirmary, Bella trying to help Percy, and Edward trying to talk to Harry.

Harry snapped. "Shut it!" Everyone went silent. "Mike. Bella will be there and don't you have to get to class. Edward. I have no ever-loving idea as to why you are here but go away. Percy. Walk." With that, Harry pushed Percy and Bella to the infirmary. The other two stood there, shell-shocked. The quietest of the three siblings had just told them to fuck off.

Mike looked at him with a glare. "I hope you know that Bella is mine." Edward only looked at him, confused. "What do you mean"

"I know you like her."

"Like her?" Edward was beginning to get annoyed what did he mean?

"Yea, it's obvious. You sat at lunch with her and everything."

"But, I don't like her. I like him."

"Oh. Him? Who?"

"Harry," Edward said bluntly.

Mike laughed. "Even I can tell that he hates you. Hey. Why does he hate you?"

Mike questioned suddenly. Edward just shrugged his shoulders knowing exactly why Harry hates him.

It hurt.
