Werewolves and Evil Headmasters
Remus sighed as he read the letter. His eyes switched from green to amber as his wolf struggled with the information. His cub was not the person he thought he was, but Moony still insisted that was their cub.
"Lucius and Narcissa are willing to allow you in his life," Severus says, walking in, ignoring the need to knock. "Under some conditions."
"Severus. There is such a thing as knocking, you know." Remus says, a weak smile on his face. "Tell me about him?"
"He's kind, almost Hufflepuff kind." Severus begins softly. "He loves the color green. His future mate is Blaise Zabini, a were-coyote to be. He loves autumn, it's his favorite time of year. Although he does say, it has a lot to do with the muggle traditions around Halloween. He loves his owl, Hedwig, who is his familiar. She's a sassy bird and reminds me of Lily."
"Of course, he would have a bird familiar with Lily's attitude." Remus chuckles. "School?"
"Before we discovered his true heritage, he was in Gryffindor but is a Slytherin through and through. He has a lot of ambitions for someone his age." Severus sighs. "He wants to meet you but with myself, Narcissa, and Lucius present. He's traumatized and will be anxious around you."
"Traumatized," Remus states lowly, a growl emitting from his throat.
"He was left with Petunia and her husband, Vernon," Severus states carefully. "They didn't like having one of our kind in their home."
It took Remus a moment or three before realization dawned on his face. His green eyes look at onyx widely. Understanding beginning to show on his face.
"He went to Lord Malfoy for help."
Severus nods slightly. "He was at his end. I fear what would have happened should Lucius not have agreed to help."
"You think he would have?.."
The question wasn't finished, but the wording was quite clear. Did Severus Snape think Cygnus Malfoy would have killed himself that summer? His somber silence answered it completely.
However, moments later, a knock interrupted the two men. Opening the door quickly was a panicked Draco Malfoy, who let out an almost sob of relief at the sight of his Godfather.
"Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall have Cygnus alone! You need to hurry, Uncle Sev!"
"Sir, I request my head of house, please." Cygnus Malfoy stated, however, he took notice of Professor McGonagall.
"Professor McGonagall is right here, my Boy," Albus says, his grandfather-like voice tight.
"But I am a Slytherin, Headmaster. So Professor Snape should be here. If not him, then my parents. I know my Mother is always available."
"Mr.Malfoy is right, Albus. I am no longer his Head of House." The elder witch smiled softly at him. "However, you are always welcome to come to speak to me should you need it. I am glad you found your way home, Mr.Malfoy."
"I told you Professor McGonagall wouldn't try and force anything," Severus says as he walks in.
"Uncle Sev!" Cygnus cries out, jumping into the man's arms. "He wouldn't let me go! See!"
Severus, and Minerva, both glared at Albus upon seeing the third-year's arm. It held a handprint that began to bruise. Severus, with his eyes never leaving Albus and his wand held firmly in hand as he held his Godson close, almost ordered Minerva McGonagall to call Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy.
Upon arriving, their first priority showed to be their son. Narcissa knelt in front of him, checking him over for anything but his arm. Lucius doing the same from behind. Once checked, they both turned their attention to Albus. However, Lucius turned to his old friend momentarily.
"Take Cygnus and Draco to pack. I am transferring them to Durmstrang immediately. I am also aware most purebloods in their year will be as well. Once the boys are done, take them to the Manor. Amelia Bones is waiting to take Cygnus's statement. Love," he turns to his wife. "Why don't you go with the boys."
"Scared for your wife, Malfoy?"
"Scared for you more like! Mother is a proud Daughter of the House of Black! You ought to be ashamed!" Cygnus said firmly.
"Cygnus." stated his Father sternly. "Go with your Godfather and Mother, now."
"Sorry, Father."
Lucius wished to tell his son he was proud of the small outburst. That he was only worried about the old man's reaction. Instead, he simply watched the old coot as his family left.
"You will be destroyed. I refuse to let a monster like yourself continue as a headmaster." sneered Lucius. "I will be talking to Lord Weasley as well."
"L-Lord?" Albus stutters. Did the Weasleys regain their Lordship? What of the feud?
"Ah yes, a Lord William Weasley. A good friend of my son. He came to me asking for help re-gaining his family's Lordship. I helped, of course." Lucius smirked. "He now can take control of his brother's and sister's education. Something I believe will now happen."
Not giving Albus the chance to respond, Lucius turned and walked out calmly before jogging to Severus's quarters. He wanted to hug both his sons. Wanting to let his youngest know he was so proud of him.
Upon arriving home, Cygnus noted Lady Amelia Bones immediately. She sat in one of the chairs reserved for guests from the ministry. He instinctively hugged his brother. She intimidated him in ways that no other had. And if he was honest, he was feeling timid right now. He just wanted his brother.
"Heir Malfoy, Heir Black." Lady Bones said, using the boy's proper titles as per the rules of society.
"Lady Bones." They replied. Although Cygnus spoke softer than his brother.
"Lady Malfoy."
"Lady Bones."
Narcissa Malfoy pulled her sons close to her as the woman walked before Cygnus. Amelia kneeled down to better match his height with a kind smile. She understood he likely felt scared and wary of her. Especially since she was one of the few adults outside of family and school that he had come across. She was hoping to make herself as less threatening as possible.
"Can you tell me about the attack Dumbledore made on you?" She asked, not realizing how deep this actually went.
