A Visit To The Hospital Wing
26th November 1977
“Do you have to go,” Antonin groaned, he kept a hand around her waist.
“You know I have to,” Solana told him, rolling her eyes. She acted bored but she was low-key enjoying going to the sessions.
“How long until exams?” he asked.
“Two weeks away,”
“And then you get to stop?”
“I don’t think so, those are just History of Magic and Charms. I’ve still got Transfiguration, Defence and Potions next year.”
“Ugh,” Antonin rolled his eyes, whipping his arm away from her.
“I need to go, otherwise I’m going to be late.” She said, kissing his cheek.
He only grunted a response, his attention turned towards the Daily Prophet he was reading.
She made her way towards the library, this time she didn’t take any detours to long out her route. As she entered the quiet library Madam Pince kept a watchful eye on her. She didn’t see Remus sitting in his normal seat, furrowing her brows as she sat down looking around.
Ten minutes later she was still waiting… Then twenty, then thirty, then forty, when it hit the fifty mark she scraped the chair against the floor, making Madam Pince glare at her… wasn’t the first time.
She made her way up to the Gryffindor common room, this time the portrait wasn’t propped open so she had to wait for it to open, to which she thought she was lucky because someone was leaving just as she arrived, except she wasn’t because it was Sirius that had just come out, and he screwed up his face when he saw her.
“What are you doing here?”
“I’m looking for Lupin,” she crossed her arms.
“Why?”
“Because I am,” she said, trying to see through the gap but Sirius closed the door.
“He’s not in there,”
“Okay, where is he then?”
“Not there–”
“I’m supposed to be getting tutoring lessons from him and he’s not turned up and I’m worried–” she cut herself off, she didn’t want to seem worried about Remus. “I’m worried that because he didn’t turn up that means I lose points, and I really don’t want detention.”
Sirius brushed past her.
“Sirius?”
“Solana.”
“Where is he?”
Sirius shrugged, walking down the corridor. Solana rolled her eyes, prick , she walked down steps following him.
“Why are you following me?” he asked.
“I’m not, we’re going the same way.” she said.
“Because you’re following me.”
Solana let out a sigh. “For gods sake I’m going to the Great Hall.”
Sirius stopped, “Go on then. I’m not going to the Great hall with you.”
“Yeah well I don’t want to be seen with a blood traitor anyway,” she pushed past him.
Yeah, she hated what she said, you don’t have to get mad at her.
She stormed into the Great Hall scanning the Gryffindor table; she didn’t see him there but she saw Potter and Pettigrew sat eating lunch.
“Where’s Lupin?” she asked, stopping in front of them, the two stared at her.
“Don’t tell her anything,” Sirius said, taking a seat next to Potter.
She knew she wouldn’t get anything out of him so she glared at Pettigrew, who stared back with wide eyes.
“He’s in the hospital wing,” he squeaked.
“Thank you,” she said, turning to leave the Great hall.
“For fucks sake, Worms,” Sirius shouted.
“She’s scary, leave me alone!”
“Solana! Solana!”
She ignored her cousin as she walked faster but it was no match, he grabbed her arm and she pulled away.
“Don’t touch me!” she glared.
“Listen, he doesn’t want anyone to see him,” Sirius said, looking around and lowering his voice.
“I don’t care–”
“Solana, he’s not in the mood.” he said.
“Okay, fine. I won’t go.” she crossed her arms.
Sirius stared at her, shaking his head. “You’re lying.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Yes you are, because as soon as I turn my back you’re gonna run off there–”
Regulus walked in between the two. “What’s going on,” he said, pushing them away from each other.
“She’s not fucking listening–”
“I don’t have to listen to you–”
“Don’t go to the hospital wing.”
“I. Won’t.”
“You’re lying again–”
“Fuck off–”
“Okay!” Regulus said, cutting his cousin off. “Sirius go into the Great Hall, Lana come with me,” he dragged her away from Sirius.
“I’m still going, I don’t care what he says.” Solana said.
“Yeah, you are literally both adults, I don’t actually care what you do,” Regulus shrugged, walking away from her.
She waited to see if Sirius would come after her, but after a few seconds realised he wasn’t, so she sped towards the hospital wing. The door creaked open and all the beds were empty barring one that was completely covered by the white creased curtain.
Madam Pomfrey was in her office, sorting out paperwork.
Solana walked quietly towards the curtains, looking through the gap. She saw Remus sitting on the edge of the bed, hunched over, he was shirtless, his back covered in dressings and he was holding onto a walking stick.
“Are you okay?” she asked, he whipped around quickly.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” he snapped.
“Yeah, well you missed our session–”
“I cancelled it–”
Solana raised her brows. “No one told me– I had to sit in the library for the past hour,” she crossed her arms.
Remus let out a light chuckle, it seemed like all he could manage. “You sat in the library… by yourself?”
“Well it was more like fifty two minutes, then I had to converse with Sirius, so thank you very much for ruining my day.” she said, taking a seat on the chair.
He watched her as she opened up her book. “What are you doing?”
“Well I gotta study, don’t I?”
“I’ll tell Professor McGonagall you already studied–”
“Just sit there and look pretty whilst I read,” she said, ignoring him.
She smiled as she heard him sigh.
“Why do you have a walking stick?” she asked after a moment of silence.
“I fell over.” he said, he attempted to reach down into the bottom drawer, but he strained a groan. “Do you mind?” he asked.
“Sure,” she said, walking over to the drawer and opening it. “Cockroach clusters!”
“Can’t have a session without them, can we?” Remus shrugged as she grabbed the packet, she opened it offering one to him first before picking herself one.
“The only reason why I actually wanted to come to the session today,”
“Really? I thought you would have wanted to see me,”
“Nah,” Solana shook him off.
“Could you do one more thing for me?” he asked.
“What is it?”
“Could you grab my jumper from that chair please,”
Solana turned around and picked up the jumper, handing it to him.
“Thanks,” he muttered, he put his arms through, as his head disappeared into the jumper she quickly glanced over at his stomach, behind all the faint scars were abs, surprisingly to her, Remus didn’t seem like the type to have them. She looked back at the book before he noticed she was looking at him.
They sat in silence whilst Solana read her Transfiguration book.
“Solana,” Remus disturbed her.
“Yes?”
“It’s been over an hour,”
She looked over clock, he was right.
“Oh,” she said, closing the book. “It was a very interesting book,”
“Must have been,” he shook his head at her.
“Right, Mr Lupin– Oh my apologies, I didn’t realise you had a visitor,” Madam Pomfrey said, she was holding a tray of fresh dressings.
“I was just leaving,” Solana said, standing up and putting her book in her bag. “I’ll see you later, Lupin.”
“See you later, Solana,”
She didn’t look back as she left the hospital wing.
“I told you not to go in there,” She heard Sirius’ voice from behind her.
“And I don’t listen to you,” she rolled her eyes, continuing to walk away from him, she went down to the Slytherin common room, where Antonin was waiting for her, his foot tapping on the ground as he looked at his watch.
“Where have you been?” he asked.
“Lupin forgot to mention he was busy so there was a bit of a delay–”
“It’s been over two hours and you didn’t think to tell me?” he raised his voice, causing the other students to look in their direction.
Solana furrowed her brows, “I didn’t think it would have been to much trouble, you were reading your newspaper anyway,”
“Yes, well you should have told me, Solana,”
“Well, next time I will,” she said, taking a seat on the sofa.
Antonin took a seat next to her, she brushed him away as he began kissing her neck.
“Toni–”
“I’m sorry for raising my voice,” he whispered. “Let me make it up to you,”
“Toni, I’m tired.”
He muttered something under his breath, but she didn’t hear him.
“Huh?”
“Come upstairs with me,” Like usual his voice was smooth like butter and she couldn’t resist it, he took a hold of her hand and led her up to the dormitory.
As she lay underneath him she wondered if she would ever enjoy being intimate with Antonin.
