Chapter 3
After that day Lee spent hours every night, while Harry was asleep on the bed next to him, practising magic. At first he couldn’t even make something twitch and he started to doubt the magic was even him, until finally something seemed to click, and reaching and grabbing the magic inside him became easier and easier.
That’s when he started teaching Harry. Harry didn’t ask many questions when Lee showed him what he could do and told him they were both magic. He just got excited, throwing himself into it. It came to him quicker than it did Lee, but he found it much harder to control, only able to throw things instead of lift them and colour a whole horse toy red instead of just its hair.
They’re both five now and Lee decides it’s time to learn how to apparate. He needs to be able to get around, to get stuff from Diagon Alley and to collect horcruxes so Harry doesn’t have to. He just needs to figure out how to get past their defences and where they are from memory.
There’s the diary, the ring, the diadem, the locket, the cup, Nagini and… he watches on sadly as Harry shakily practices with levitating things. He’ll also have to figure out how to get rid of that one without sending Harry to his death, like Dumbledore did. Speaking of, he’s been instilling stranger danger and how to notice manipulation into Harrys head, while also teaching him meditation, hoping it would help with occlumency.
Anyway, back to horcruxes. He pulls out a notebook to write everything in Japanese that he learnt in his last life, so not everyone can read it. He’ll need to wait until Hogwarts for the diary and diadem and he has no clue when Nagini becomes a horcrux. Probably after Voldermort is brought back, which he’s planning to stop anyway. He needs to figure out how to get the ring, hopefully not touching it with his bare hands will be enough. The cup… if horcruxes are as bad as the movies make them sound, maybe the goblins will want it gone? He’ll have to ask. That leaves the locket. He needs a Black. Would Harry count? His grandmother and godfather- Sirius! What’s he going to do about Sirius?
He can’t exactly break him out of Azkaban, but he doesn’t have the connections to tell someone about his lack of trial either! He can’t even get… anywhere…
Wow he got side tracked, he’s supposed to be learning how to apparate! Does he have ADHD now? He’s pretty sure he’s still autistic too… Focus!
He stares at the floor in front of him from where he sits on the bed.
“This might be loud,” he warns, before pulling up his magic and focusing on wanting to be teleported to the middle of the room and with a crack he’s there.
He jumps on the spot with a cheer, Harry joining him a second later.
“That was amazing! How did you do that? Can you teach me?”
“Wait til I get it down, ok? It’s dangerous, if you don’t know what you’re doing you can leave a piece of yourself behind.” He’s quick to agree at that. “I’m going to try to go a bit further. Meet me at the park?”
Harrys up and out of the room a second late,r making him chuckle, before picturing the park vividly and concentrating and with a crack, he’s there. He lands at the edge behind some trees so no one will see him and takes a deep breath. That took more out of him, but he’s pretty sure he can go further pretty easily. He steps out as Harry arrives, face lighting up with excitement at the sight of him there before him. Lee catches him when he throws himself at him and spins him around as he laughs. He should be able to get to Diagon Alley now. He doesn’t know exactly where it is, but he can picture the space between the alley and the Leaky Cauldron pretty clearly. Hopefully that will be enough.
But not today. He needs to sleep to get his energy back up just in case this takes more than expected.
“Come on Harry, let’s head back.”

He’s put up some repelling charms around his room to keep Vernon and Pertunia from bothering Harry and given him food for lunch.
“Mum! Dad!” he calls, cringing a little at what he has to call them.
“Yes, sweety?” Petunia coos.
“I’m going to go hang out with some friends and wanna buy stuff from the corner shop, but I don’t have any money!”
He does. He has taken quite a bit from them over the years, a little at a time, but he could always use more.
“A little business man, my son!” How? “Here,” Vernon hands him fifty pounds and he holds back an incredulous look.
What does he expect him to buy? It explains why he's so much smaller than movie Dudley if they gave him this much money for sweets. He also looks nothing like the actor so that might be it, but who knows.
“Thanks!” he chirps. “I’m gonna go to one of their houses for lunch too, I’ll be back tonight.”
They happily agree, not even asking for this ‘friends’ parents number. Whatever, works better for him anyway. He quickly make my way back upstairs to say bye to Harry.
“I’m going.”
He pouts.
“Can’t I come with you?” he asks.
“I can't teleport both of us, but I’ll bring you back some stuff!”
He perks up a little at that.
“Ok!”
He gives him a smile, before with a crack, he's gone.
