Remus flipped open his book to page 249 sliding the bookmark gifted by an eager James Potter who just wanted to make new friends in his first year.
As gracefully as he could(it wasn’t graceful nor elegant) he practically threw himself to the the side of Lily’s body on the lumpy yet very comfy couch.
“Now Lupin, what is it with your continuous rude interruptions to my fine evening?” Lily exaggerated her accent sounding strangely familiar to Dumbledore.
“Trying to get Sirius to notice me as he’s currently too preoccupied with sketching than giving me their full undivided attention,” Remus said as if it was an everyday ordeal. Which it wasn’t seeing as Sirius was like a puppy following Remus around all day.
“Yes, and reading in the common room with me is going to change that.. how?” Lily questioned.
“Give it a sec.” Humming Remus flipped over one of the pages in his book. Lily and him both went silent as if nothing had happened.
After about 2 minutes Sirius walked into the common room from the dormitory stairs a blanket wrapped around his shoulders as he held a sketchbook in his hand. They wore pajama pants and a muggle band shirt, his hair had been in a half up half down style.
“Moonyyy.” Sirius practically wined before similarly jumping onto the couch as Remus except he had laid down completely allowing his head to rest on Remus’s lap.
“Yes, Sirius?” Remus lifted his book, looking under it and making eye contact with his sleep-deprived boyfriend.
“You left the dorm and I missed your presence.” Sirius sounded like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
“As much as I would like to listen to your love-sick banter. I don’t. So I’m going to go cry in my loneliness.” Getting up Lily made her towards the stairs.
“Give prongs 2 seconds and he’ll fix those problems for you,” Sirius said before flipping around so now he's facing with his stomach towards the couch. He opens his sketchbook and continues the drawing that he had been working on in the dorm.
“So you came down here just to do what you were doing before?” Remus asked slightly confused.
“Yeah, I missed you.” Sirius hummed.
“But we weren’t doing anything before.”
“And?” Sirius said trying his best to get a look at Remus’s face from his position causing Remus to let out a small laugh.
“Nothing.” Remus looked back down at his book.
“Why did you come down here just to do what you were doing before?” Flipping the question Sirius poked at Remus’s cheek.
“No reason.”,
“Yes reason. Tell me.” Sirius got up from his laid-down position now sitting up on Remus's lap.
“I just wanted a change of scenery.” Remus’s eyes roamed over Sirius’s features, a smile spreading on his face as Sirius slightly tilted his head.
“The real reason moons?”
“I’ve already told you, Siri.”
“Liar.”
“And how would you know,” Remus questioned, copying his boyfriend's movement and tilting his head.
“Cause I can read you like a goddamn book.”
“I didn’t know you could read Pads.” Amusement tinted Remus’s voice.
“Why didn’t you tell me you wanted attention, Remus?” Sirius ignored Remus’s attempt to change the subject.
“I don’t.” Humming Remus went to open his book.
“Yeah, yeah, sure loser,” Sirius said moving Remus's book out of his hand and reapplying the bookmark before closing it,
“Let me give you attention.” Sirius mumbled, kissing Remus before getting up.
“Where are you going?” Remus questioned.
“The dorm. I’ll show you what I’ve been working on.”
“I thought you brought your sketchbook down can’t you show me here?”
“I’m hurt moony, I thought you knew me better, I have multiple.” Sirius feigned offense acting like his heart had been stabbed letting himself fall backwards before catching himself.
“Now hurry up.” Sirius made his way to the stairs and towards their room. Once the couple got inside Sirius made his way to his bed grabbing a green cover sketchbook. Flipping open the page, he showed proudly showed sketches of Remus.
“You fucking stalker. Christ pads!” Remus said flipping pages and finding more of him. Grinning fondly as each one held all of his blemishes and scars. Sirius made art and his subject was Remus. A wave of acceptance for who he was washed over Remus and his grin grew into a full smile that turned into a soft chuckle.
Remus wrapped one of his arms around Sirius's waist pushing them towards him before placing a kiss on the top of Sirius’s head.
