Chapter 3
I crashed into the head girl and boys dormitory, not looking around. My eyes were filled with tears yet to fall and I couldn't see well. I could barely make out two different patches of color, one that could have been green or blue (it was hard to tell in the dim light) and one that was a bright red. I ran for the red door and slammed it shut and flopped onto the silk sheeted bed that awaited me.
A sob strangled itself in my throat as the tears finally bubbled over in my eyes. The images of Ron ran through my mind. The blonde hair that lay spread out in the moonlight that shone on his pillow through his apartment window. The panting of a naked redhead who was holding himself up over the slim girl on the bed. The shocked yelp of the girl as she opened her bright blue eyes at the sound of a door creaking. The pounding of Ron’s feet as he chased me down the stairs in nothing but a blanket carelessly tossed around his waist. The rain pattering on the tin roof as I shut the door behind me for the last time, the tears of the sky combining with the tears of my eyes and running down my cheeks.
Ron had tried to talk to me multiple times after that incident. Tried to tell me he was sorry, but I wouldn't listen, couldn't listen… Harry and Ginny made sure he didn’t bother me again until I came back to Hogwarts. I had fretted over leaving him and Harry but now I’m glad that I had. Being near him was too painful. We had just realized our feelings for eachother, only to have them broke apart by his selfish habits.
I curled up onto a ball on top of the silk sheets and harshly cried myself to sleep, fitful all the while.
