The first Letter
Harry was in the Great Hall when the first letter from Riddle arrived, it wasn't the same owl he knew from the Malfoy s but he was certain it belonged to them. He took the letter and the bird flew away, the writing was familiar but he couldn't discern from whom it was. He was totally into reading that he never noticed how Audree got up from her seat and walked to him.

Like we promised, this is my first letter. There is much I want to ask and know but certainly there will be a time for that, my first and most important question for you is, what do you want or expect from our soulmate bond.
From what I could infer from listening to you and your sister, you have some kind of creature blood. I'm letting you know that I have too and it would be nice knowing what kind of creature my future partner is.
I'm currently residing at Malfoy's Manor if there is any emergency you can contact me through them.

Her voice surprised him, but when he looked around, he found the not so nice looks his sister was receiving
“When did you get here? I suppose this letter is what has you very curious”
“Aww, come on, you know I’m dying to know”

He didn’t write immediately, he was trying to process the fact that Riddle was being cordial, even kind with him. He was acting totally the opposite of what he thought.

My sister is very curious about what you wrote but I didn’t let her read your letter, she was so mad about that. Hope she forgives me soon
About your question I have to say that I don’t really know, all this stuff about soulmates, creatures and mates is really new to me. I only hope for us to understand each other, if things develop further then let’s let it happen.
I’m not fond of the Malfoys as I’m with many of your followers, but I’m going to try and be civil with them. Malfoy Senior is not only your right hand but someone important to my sister and Draco is the mate of my best friend.
I know about some peace treaty you were trying to do in the past, my mother wrote about it in her diary, what went wrong then?

Riddle wasn’t amazed by the letter, it seemed as if Harry didn’t know what to say to him. He was however satisfied knowing he was open to let their relationship escalate to limitless levels.
“My Lord, Severus arrived”
“Thank you Lucius. By the way, what is your relationship with Miss Dubois?”
“She is the daughter of a cousin, but right now she is my charge”
