"Go on, scoot over!"
Looking up at the familiar voice, the Doctor moves over to let Rose sit down. The milky way is spread out before him, stars twinkling in a swirl of purples and blues. But his heart is heavy with a weight he's shouldered for years. Rose pulls him into a hug,
"Show me where Gallifrey is again?"
At her question, the Doctor smiles softly, looking down at her earnest expression. He takes her hand, guiding it towards the center of the milky way, where his eyes are drawn to one of the brighter stars,
"There. Near the middle. They're actually two suns, stuck orbiting each other until Time Lord tech fails and they're sucked into the black hole in the center of the milky way."
She rests her head on his shoulder, gazing out at the lights of space,
"It's beautiful..."
