Chapter 6
The four of them stood around the console unit as the Doctor took the TARDIS into the Time vortex. There was nothing anyone could say to make any of them feel better even Harry was upset about this adventure, the death of one man had caused the death of thousands from both species through a meaningless war because no one could agree on a new commander to be placed in charge of the project to turn the planet into a habitable one again and for the two species to live together there in peace, then the last death to occur was Dan Nobel, Donna’s DNA son. As the Doctor had pointed out that could have also been his son Harrys step brother that had been shot by a bitter old man because the Doctor didn’t know what those machines did if it wasn’t for the Master being there yet they had still lost someone who was part of their group he was Donna’s son even if he had come out of a machine and had no father he had turned away from his programming and instead of fighting and wanted to help the four of them save both sides. They were just stood there lost in their own thoughts when a mobile phone that was hooked up to the TARDIS wirelessly, rang, all four of them jumped in shock.
The Doctor quickly answered the mobile knowing who had given him the phone. It was Martha Jones calling him back to Earth to work as she needed his help. It was one memory they had left her with thinking she had given him her phone after he had dropped her off back at home and her telling him not to be a stranger, when she realised the Doctor would never be in love with her and she wanted to finish her medical degree. Martha gave the Doctor a date and time on Earth where she needed him and where to arrive, the Doctor left it to Harry to pilot them to where they were going and when they were to land, unsurprising with Harry piloting, they arrived just as Martha put her phone away.
UNIT led by Martha, as she had brought the Doctor to help them not knowing the Master would be coming but grateful to have two Time Lords to help but also apologetic not knowing Harry would be coming with them, she apologised to them for having to drag their son into the mess once the situation was explained to her, but she needed their help. The introduction to Donna was funny for Harry and the Master the way they talked to each other about the Doctor and the fact Martha was engaged now to her own Doctor who worked in Africa at the moment Martha made a point of having yet another Doctor who disappeared off to distant places. After that happened the Doctor and the Master told her not to worry about their son when she enquired if would be better for him to stay in the TARDIS, both the Master and the Doctor knew that Harry could look after himself, so they moved on to what they had been called there for. Once Martha and the commander in charge had briefed them on what was going on they made some decisions and plans for a raid to see just what was happening.
They raided their local ATMOS factory to see what was going on with ATMOS devices that most of the world was buying because they cut down on the cost of fuel and allowed for the car to stop producing carbon monoxide something the whole governments of the world were in agreement on that they needed to cut back on the admissions and this new device did that as well as having programming to give a car a navigator and cut down on the use of needed resources such as petrol and diesel especially for what the devices were being sold at and even better for Great Britain as the government offered to give the people a discount on having it in their cars all the governments vehicles had an ATMOS device.
Donna was the one to find the in-consistence’s of the workers who worked at the factory being off ill after she had gone through the office that was on site and looked through their filing system being nosey and trying to help, she was successful because of all the temp work she did she was use to knowing all different facts of information when it came to companies and secretaries, it turned out that since the ATMOS factory had opened not a single worker had been ill there hadn’t even been one off with the flu or someone pulling a sick day after a heavy weekend out on the town all the workers turned up for their shifts on time and not a single one had taken a day off since the factory opened its doors and started to produce the ATMOS devices. It was shortly after Donna and Martha had spoken while the Doctor and the Master were looking over the ATMOS device in more detail that they decided to split up, Donna told the Master, the Doctor and Harry that she was going to pay her family a visit while she was in the area and on Earth and Harry said he would tag along with Donna, while the Doctor and Master went to speak to the designer, a genius teenager. Martha decided to give the workers a medical after finding out none of them had been off ill from the Doctor and Donna as it was Donna that had found the information, but it was weird when Martha asked them how long they worked, they all answered twenty four hours a day and then they each told her that they had worked seven days a week since the factory had opened Martha had given medicals to twenty of the workers and all the answers over working were the same not only that but each one was in perfect health. Martha was just on her way to report her findings to the Commander when she was stopped by two UNIT officers who first asked her what clearance she had and then asked her to accompany them as they had found something they thought she should look at and with her level of clearance she would be allowed to investigate it for them, so she agreed to follow them and find out what was wrong. Donna managed to get both Harry and her a lift from UNIT to her house in a Land Rover. The meeting was interesting, her granddad was happy to see her and welcomed the child with her into the house Harry was introduced to him as the Arbitrator, the Master’s and the Doctor’s son when he saw the smile Wilfred sent him, Harry felt all warm inside, this was what Harry wanted for everyone one to know he had two parents even if they were both male that didn’t bother him one bit. Her mother wasn’t home at the time she was out running errands shopping, which Harry got the impression was a good thing for both Donna and her granddad. They spent the afternoon hours talking about the adventures that Donna had been on and what she had seen since she had waved her goodbye to her Grandad from the TARDIS doors in the night sky including freeing all the Ood from slavery across four galaxies and how nearly every adventure involved a lot of running so Donna also explained that while she was on Earth at home she wanted some trainers from her room while she was here but that wasn’t the reason she had come to see her mother and Granddad she had wanted to see them as she hadn’t seen them in a year to her even though it wasn’t that long for her mother and granddad. Donna’s granddad asked all types of questions while she was telling him all the different things she had seen and done while she had been away with the Doctor the Master and Harry.
Just as Donna and Harry were collecting Donna’s trainers, they ran into trouble. The ATMOS device on the Land Rover they were using started to pump smoke into the car sealing the driver inside. After Harry Donna and Wilfred as Harry had found out Donna’s Granddad was called ran outside to help the driver, it was Wilfred that put a cricket bat through the window and Harry quickly released the bonnet clip, he had then ripped the ATMOS devices out of the car moved onto the engine then the part on the exhaust to stop it affecting the Land Rover but allowing it still to run. Harry instructed Wilfred to go back into the house and block all entrances that the air could get in through, to keep the smoke out if all the ATMOS devices fired but to let his daughter in if she turned up and then re-seal the house, but no matter what if the rest of the ATMOS devices went off the house needed to be sealed so that the clean air that was in the house allowed him to breath while the Doctor the Master and Harry sorted them problem out. The driver was thankfully fine now he could breathe properly again. They set off at top speed back to where UNIT was basing this operation out of the factory they had raided. They all got out of the car to hear the Doctor and Master ordering UNIT to pull its solders back and to barricade the doors on their way out. The Doctor was showing his anger and the Master was talking to the commander like he was an idiot the Master seemed to do that a lot to everybody he met other than the Doctor, Harry and Donna. Unfortunately all the four of them heard over the radio was screaming soldiers as they died in droves. The Doctor had then spoken to the Sontaran’s through the UNIT communications in the lorry that UNIT was using for its headquarters for this mission and the Sontaran’s started to lay all their plans out for him.
The Sontaran’s wanted this world as another cloning planet for their population, but none of them would confirm what the ATMOS devices did. The Master and Doctor explained to Harry they were one of the species that was angry at them over the Time War, but only because the Time Lords and Ladies High Council wouldn’t let them help, but the Sontaran’s had been fighting a war of their own for fifty thousand years between them and the Rutans and it obviously wasn’t going well for the Sontaran’s if they were after the Earth as another cloning planet. When the Doctor and the Master had been speaking to the Sontaran’s, UNIT had pinpointed the mothership the Sontaran’s were on. The commander had told them both that they intended to do a pre-emptive strike on it, the Doctor and the Master told him it would do no good the Earth’s nuclear arsenal was useless against the Sontaran ship the nuclear missiles wouldn’t even damage their shields. So, the Doctor had Martha stopping them launching the missiles until it was over, he knew she was a clone but used her to stop UNIT until he could rescue the real Martha Jones who the Doctor and the Master had also seen had been taken in the timeline but the clone was useful for now and they knew Martha was in no real trouble or they would have rescued her immediately. Suddenly the whole of the ATMOS devices went off setting four hundred million cars pumping noxious gas into the air all over the world and the level of the toxin was increasing. With the missiles not firing the commander decided on a second attack now knowing what the problem was with the bullets was. The Valiant was overhead removing the ATMOS gas from around them, but it only cleared a small pocket of breathable air over the factory. Not a single soldier got out making both the Master and the Doctor angry at the commander after now telling him twice his plans wouldn’t work. After a lot of running around with the Master and Doctor to and from the teenager’s school for the gifted. It turned out that the Sontaran’s really had wanted the world for a cloning planet and offered Luke Rattigan a world that they would allow him and his chosen to colonise even knowing he was giving up the Earth to them for it. The students at his new school when they found out just what he was planning ran from him as quickly as they could they were disgusted he would give up their home world for just them to move to a new world when they knew they didn’t have enough of a gene pool to even keep a new world going never mind they hadn’t got all the necessary equipment to create a new world for themselves even if they had wanted to, Luke Rattigan and the students still had not even solved the problem of how to terraform a planet into one that was habitable for humans something not easily done, especial in this time period on Earth, even for a human genius as well as all those that were at his school who had IQ’s off the scale compared to most other humans, everything else he had worked out with those he invited to his school but not to actually terraform a new world. This enraged the genius teenager after all the hard work he had put into guaranteeing them a new world to colonise even helping the Sontarans and creating the ATMOS devices for them but there was nothing he could do the whole of his school population had run away from him and his school for the gifted. The Sontaran’s finally admitted to Luke Rattigan at the end as their plan was near to completion, that they had been lying to him they were never going to let him colonise a new planet they would have killed him and his students instead it would have been like shooting fish in a barrel when they were all beamed up onto their ship as the Sontaran’s had offered the use of their ship to move them to the world Luke had picked out for them to colonise he had decided to call it Rattigan’s world. The Sontaran’s then went on to admit that the ATMOS devices would pump noxious gasses into the air which would eventually build up enough to convert the world into a perfect cloning world for the Sontaran’s allowing them to clone billions of new soldiers in one go if the Doctor the Master and Harry hadn’t used equipment from the teenager’s school to burn the sky removing all the gas from around the world, it was both a beautiful yet terrifying sight, seeing the sky flash fire all across it through the gas that the ATMOS devices were pumping out into the atmosphere igniting it all turning it back to breathable air.
The teenage genius Luke Rattigan hadn’t made it, he was blown up on the Mothership as he exploded it to stop them getting the Earth using a bomb the Doctor and Master had made up to alter the air the Sontaran’s breathed that would blow the ship up they were on. Originally the Doctor was going to do it he said he had to give them a chance to surrender and leave the Earth alone but after teleporting to the Sontaran ship, Luke Rattigan had taken his place rewiring the teleport in his office so he would switch places with the Doctor. The clone of Martha had unfortunately died when the Doctor and Master went to find the real Martha Jones who was still connected up to a machine so her memories could be accessed as she was no longer connected to Martha’s mind when the Doctor found her as he was going up to the mothership to talk to them about surrendering, the real Martha Jones removed her engagement ring off her clone after she had passed away, but she had a look in her eyes, as though even though she was engaged she still wasn’t happy with the relationship she was in. The Master seemed to grumble a lot about running throughout it all even over the debrief. Which was mainly Harry, the Doctor, the Master, the real Martha Jones and the top brass of UNIT including the commander in charge of the operation not that the Master or the Doctor for that matter had a high opinion of him after he had simply ignored all the advice they had given him and all it had done was get a lot of his soldiers under his command killed which they told the other member of UNIT there for the de-brief.
It had been an eventful couple of days for them all and so the Doctor decided that they would all go back to Sirius’ house for the evening. Donna had collected not only trainers but more clothing for herself even though the TARDIS did have a massive wardrobe on board. She had gone back on the second day that they were dealing with the ATMOS crisis on her own to see both her mother and granddad now the gas had been got rid of to make sure they were both okay, Wilfred’s Donna's granddad promised not to tell her mother what she was really doing but made her promise to keep enjoying herself out there in the stars and helped her slip out of the house without her mother, his daughter, seeing what Donna had collected in clothes that she had in bags.
There was only one Sontaran left alive, a commander Strax, he was the only sontaran that lived after the mothership was destroyed the Doctor had knocked him out while explaining about a sontaran having to always face forward in battle because they had a Probic Vent on the back of their necks. The Sontaran’s thought and believed it gave them great courage because it meant they always had to face their opponents head on without fear. At the same time, Commander Strax got the full anger that poured off the Doctor that Harry had felt a few times before for what his clone batch had tried to do to the Earth and the fact it had caused so much heartache and death even if they had failed in the end but that end had come at the cost of the life of a genius teenager who just had dreams to big and thought he was too smart for anybody else but he was still a teenager with so much potential if he was monitored in what he did and all the soldiers that the Sontaran’s had killed for no other reason than to keep them out of a factory that was no use to them after it had been raided by UNIT other than it held the cloning tanks for the soldiers and Martha that the Sontaran's had used to take over needed personnel but that section could have and was locked down by them. The Sontaran was made to do penance as a battlefield nurse. It was the most degrading thing a Sontaran could ever be made to do, look after the sick, ill and dying the Sontaran’s were all a military fighting force that only ever gave up fighting once they were killed. Yet one look at the Doctor and feeling his emotions of anger and he agreed to his job as a nurse. The Doctor told him he would know when he had paid his penance and his duty as a nurse was over and he could reclaim the honour of not only himself but also his clone batch until then he would work here helping out all those in need.
It was really weird for Harry to watch humans from the distant future in forty, thirty A.D fighting with guns that looked like they came from the middle nineteen hundreds and battlefields set up like in World War one, if it wasn’t for the truth of all the people dying and it affecting Harry seeing the souls leave them after they had been shot or blown up by the bombs that were being dropped all around the fighting areas. It really would have looked like a brilliant re-enactment of the fight for the independence of America or World War one if not for all the deaths that were occurring around them. They were soon back with Sirius. Who while happy to see his godson again, was upset over the fact Harry who was still classed as a tot that he was godfather to, had to get involved with another Earth disaster. Sirius was at least happy to see them all and meet Donna again, it seemed the information about ATMOS had come down the gossip channels to Jack who had told all his team in case they needed to do anything even though UNIT assured everyone they had it under control which with the Master and the Doctor there they would have but Sirius informed them next time they were to send Harry back to him. The Master and the Doctor managed to get Sirius calmed down by explaining they had sent Harry with Donna to her house, so he was safe, or he stayed with one of them constantly he was their son jointly now they were both bringing him up again and no harm would come to him with them around they couldn’t speak about Harry only being the Masters son as they had Donna with them so Sirius had to stick to the back story that he had memorised and made a Magical vow about how Harry came into his care and that the Doctor and the Master were the ones to loom Harry and leave him with his two best friends Lilly and James until they died protecting Harry and he came to live with Sirius as he had become his oath sworn godfather in Magic as both families were Magical. Sirius spent time talking to Harry and writing in the diary he now kept to ensure he knew where they were both up to so Harry could tell him of his latest adventures since Harry had last seen Sirius they had gone up to Sirius’ bedroom and to the safe the diary was kept in and spent their time lying on Sirius’ king size bed talking about what Harry had done since he had last seen Sirius while Sirius took notes once he found out where they were up to in the diary luckily it was only the second time Sirius had seen Harry since they had got rid of his old identity and Sirius had gone under a Magical vow but as Harry pointed out it would be good practice for in the future when things got more complicated for them both.
The night came soon enough, so they all retired to the TARDIS. First the kitchen where Harry cooked a late evening meal for the five of them, then the lounge for half an hour to let the meal settle before retiring to their own rooms, Sirius taking the one he had used before. The others going to their respective rooms that they permanently had. Harry spent half an hour cleaning up the books and notes all over the study area of his room for his engineering course he was still taking and getting really into before moving onto the work he needed to do for the academy course he was also taking he had to keep on top of both courses as he should have been in the academy doing the work their not in his spare time when he got some especially with him taking the engineering course on top of his regular studies. He had already started to make small repairs and alterations to the TARDIS from where the Doctor had done his own repairs, one item was a sieve on a pole connected to wires that led right under the main console unit, Harry had no idea what that was for, but Harry would eventually learn and replace it. After all it was a sieve.

The next morning the four of them had breakfast before dropping Sirius off at work and then they were in the Time vortex while trying to decide where to go. Eventually the Doctor decided on a two week beach break at a holiday planet in four thousand two hundred and twenty two A.D, Harry still wanted to do his course work on top of his ordinary lessons, but because it was classed as a holiday Harry only spent three hours first thing in a morning working on the TARDIS course before having the rest of the day for fun with the Doctor, the Master and Donna, then he would go back to the TADIS in the evening and work on his course work for the academy so that he didn’t fall behind on those lessons as well working through the night to get through the lessons he should at the right time he would have been up to had he actually been attending the academy on Gallifrey especially as he needed a lot less sleep now. He would sleep at most one night a month if he was okay, now he was a Magical Time Lord tot. The only reason Harry had fallen asleep with The Doctor when he had gotten in trouble off the Doctor and the Master was because Harry was emotionally wrung out over what had happened, Harry had become so upset over what went on he ended up falling asleep in the doctors arms being hugged by him. Harry was at least now getting used to having two dads’ who loved him deeply and now Harry did as he was told by them. After the two weeks and they had finished their holiday, the Doctor decided that this time they would return to the past on Earth to see something different they had taken Donna all over the galaxies and into the future but never into the past of the Earth. So, the Doctor decided this was where they were going to go on their next adventure.
They had taken Donna on a trip to the early nineteen hundreds on Earth and to meet Agatha Christie well the Doctor actually crashed a garden party weekend the Lady of the manor they had parked near was having Lady Eddison. After Donna had changed into appropriate clothing for a garden party weekend and packed some clothes for the stay over that didn’t look out of place in the early nineteen hundreds they went to the party which turned into a murder mystery week that the Doctor, the Master and Agatha Christie had to solve as one of the party guests was murdered and both the Master and the Doctor wouldn’t let any of the guests leave until it was solved who had killed him they were not letting a killer go free. Throughout that week the people at the party apart from a few kept seeing a giant wasp trying to attack different people and didn’t know what it was but it had scared Donna to find that in her room as well as finding it in a child’s nursery that had been hidden and kept in pristine condition even though Lady Eddison supposedly had no children and had never married they eventually found out what was doing all the killing when the Doctor and the Master made everyone sit in the living room and made Agatha Christy pretend it was one of her murder mystery books that she was writing and go through how she would solve the crime if it was one of her books instead of in real life the Doctor wanted to see how her mind worked although the Master had told the Doctor when no one could hear them that he had a pretty good idea who it actually was. It turned out that it was actually a Vespiform that was killing people who was disguised as a vicar as the Master had thought. The Vespiform wiped Agatha Christies memories rather that kill her in its final moments alive, it had taken a week for them to get through the adventure, but Harry hadn’t gone on it with them, wanting to spend more time on the TARDIS course as he really was enjoying it. It no longer felt to Harry like a punishment set down by the Doctor and was exciting to Harry who had never seen half the things needed to make a TARDIS work this was the kind of information the Real Unspeakables needed to make a TARDIS of their own but didn’t have now Harry had all the information at his finger tips it was just taking a very long time to get through it he had started at the beginning and was only on the third section but he had made a few corrections to the console unit, he had run them past both the Doctor and the Master before he did them so that he didn’t get in trouble for doing it but after they had watched over him a few times they congratulated Harry on working through the course and understanding it and allowed Harry now to make all the alterations to the console unit Harry wanted he just had to tell them what he had done after he had sorted out whatever he was working on next on the console unit, but the Master and the Doctor no longer looked over Harry’s shoulder while he was doing it. Harry had been waiting for them when the adventure was over in the main control room. They were all shocked when the Doctor pulled out a book from deep within the floors of the TARDIS control room.
“‘Death In The Clouds’, she must have had subconscious thoughts about her past and today.” The Doctor explained to them all holding the book up with the same title.
“Yeah, but did you hear what she said just before that wasp drowned, Death comes at the end... And justice is served. What did she mean by that it sounded more like a message that a thought from her?” Donna asked to the Doctor and the Master.
“What did you say Donna?” Harry asked Donna looking at her in shock.
“What that…. Death comes at the end and justice is served…. Agatha Christie said it just after I had killed the Vespiform then she lost all her memories and collapsed.” Donna informed Harry what had gone on.
“How did she know? What are the Vespiform? As a normal overall lifeform what are they usually like?” Harry asked both the Doctor and the Master facing to look at them, so they knew he was asking them and not Donna.
“Peaceful, the Vespiforms have got hives in the Silfrax Galaxy, they rarely venture from there, some do though as we've just seen, some are bigger than others, he was one of the biggest, they should be a peaceful race just like lady Eddison said, they would occasionally take the form of other species to learn about them before returning to their home.” The Doctor answered while he looked at Harry, the Doctor wondered why he was suddenly interested in this species.
“So, what caused this Doctor?” Harry asked next to the Doctor as he had answered the first question.
“It was the Firestone it was a template to his genetics that was connected to his mind and through it he had a connection to Agatha that imposed the killing he was doing the night he broke his lock on his true genetics he connected with it to get the information he needed but he also got Lady Eddison’s thoughts and then Agatha’s. it wouldn’t have happened if Lady Eddison hadn’t been wearing it and had been since she lost her first lover the Vespiform’s father then the Vespiform killed Professor Peach after he discovered Golightly's real birth certificate as well as Miss Chandrakala because she helped cover the pregnancy up for Lady Eddison.” The Doctor explained gently upset at the death of the Vespiform, yet the Doctor had known how the timeline played out once it got near to the end, they could all see the immediate futures to know what was going on if they looked and see all the possible outcomes however some of them didn’t include the death of the Vespiform others of them had that is what had the Doctor so upset because the Vespiform were usually such a peaceful race and this one had died after going on a killing spree through Lady Ellison wearing the Firestone and reading Agatha Christie’s books on murder mystery.
“Do they have a religion anything to do with the afterlife and living on? What do they believe as a culture about death?” Harry asked his full attention on both of the Doctor and Master's faces so that they knew he wanted the one with the most information to answer.
“They like others believe in the afterlife in some form, just like we believe we go to the matrix once we die for good, they believe they end up together in both life and death. It’s not something to be feared it’s something to be embraced when the time is right when they have done all they can in this life.” The Master explained about their beliefs while looking at Harry, the Master was wondering what Harry was thinking but the Master did not use the bond he had to find out, the Doctor and the Master would be told soon enough, Harry seemed to want to work something out by the way he was asking all of these questions to the Doctor and the Master.
“So, they believe that Death has meaning, that they will carry on, which in a sense is true, only the really young don’t deserve death but the balance must be maintained. There has to be death for there to be life just like there has to be life if death is to occur, I’ve never thought about it before to be honest.” Harry spoke in a reflective way not telling them why he really wanted to know.
“Why are you asking all these questions Arbitrator?” The Master demanded while he was still staring at Harry.
“No reason. Anyway, it’s been a long day and I need to make notes on the part of the engineering course section I've just finished. I can’t believe how much I still have to get through I’m still working my way through the third section which seems to be a massive as the first two sections if not even longer, no wonder it took tots so long to grow up. I will probably be at it for years before I could alter a console unit fully, it must be massive that course. I thought I would be done with it in about ten years, even devoting the time I am, it could take a lot longer though as I said I'm still only at the beginning of the third section and I’ve been working on it since you told me I had to go through it for my grounding but I'm really getting into it and devoting more time to it the more I learn the more I want to carry on going through the course it is that interesting, how long did it take in the academy to get through the course Pere?” Harry Replied then explained about the course before asking the Doctor about it as it was the Doctor who had set Harry to do it through his grounding.
“Actually that course should take a full one hundred years if all you did is attend the academy like you would have on Gallifrey, so it might take you longer the academy was nine till three, five days a week then you would get two and a half days to do any work you needed to for the course you were taking and time to relax and unwind, a bit like the Earth’s school systems just more in-tense and much more advanced. Plus, don’t forget you are taking the full TARDIS engineering course, not the standard course, the standard one would take ten years, learning it in the academy as I said. The one you are taking is more like one hundred years in the academy just doing that when I set your grounding I intended for you to do the shortened course but you started out doing the larger one I thought you would keep it up until your grounding was done and then come and talk to your dad and me about it not really get into as you have that is why we no longer look over your shoulder if you do any repairs we just ask you to tell us what you have done once you have done it because you will eventually know even more than the two of us neither of us took that course we both took the shorter one, the Master took it at the academy and I took it after I had gotten this TARDIS so I knew how to give her general repairs as I needed to be able to so! If you are really getting into it you are welcome to carry on doing it and doing the repairs you have been just as we last asked tell us if you make any alterations please but do not allow yourself to get so engrossed in it that you don’t do your ordinary lessons you should be learning at the academy neither do your dad or I want you missing out on adventures just so you can keep at both the lessons you must do and the TARDIS engineering course you are still working on! As we said part of your learning to become a Magical Time Lord will be coming on adventures with us instead of you staying in the TARDIS all the time working on both of them so that you keep up with your other age mates you missed out on a very educational one this week through staying in the TARDIS.” The Doctor explained to Harrys question letting the others questions Harry had been asking go for the moment, the Doctor knew Harry hadn’t hidden anything from them when he let them look through his mind, Harry had told them he had met the Deity DEATH and talked about more than they saw the Doctor thought that maybe it was that meeting that was making Harry ask these questions now. With that they split up to do different things Harry went to his room and did as he said he was doing, SATURN was also learning along with him to make her better at understanding a fully sentient time ship, not like SATURN was, just a bracer that only allowed him to pass through space from one planet to another.
The next few adventures that they went on the Doctor and the Master made Harry accompany them but all that did was make Harry work on the courses at night and when he got back to the TARDIS, he wasn’t spending as much time with them now that he was being taken on all the adventures they went on so a compromised was reached Harry had to go on one adventure a week no matter how long it took but he could spend the rest of the time doing his courses as long as he spent the evening before going to his room eating with them as a family and spending at least a few hours each night in the living room together. Harry agreed to this and settled into a better routine neither did it make him as tired as he was getting after another three months of adventures the Doctor decided that they would all go on a holiday as he felt that Harry deserved one for being responsible enough to only do his lessons at night or when he didn’t come on an adventure but still accompanied them on one of the adventures they were going on each week, even like when they had talked it took a week to complete if that happened the Master and Doctor were fine letting him stay in the TARDIS for five days working on his lessons before they made him come on another adventure with them all. As said the Doctor felt that Harry deserved a holiday for the way he had acted grown up about his time management and so they got themselves ready to go on holiday that Harry chose for them all. They had just fished going through the Time vortex to the place Harry had decided on the first carnival of Rio in seventeen twenty three. Harry was the first to open the door this time while the others were still grabbing things from the wardrobe.
“Erm…You might want to have a look at just where we've arrived!” Harry shouted out to the others dropping his bag at to the side of the TARDIS doors so it was out of the way as he knew they were not at the Rio carnival. He lifted his finger licked it and held it up.
“We’re in a bloody library, they had better not have a pool. In fact, we’re in a massive library I would say!” Harry shouted in shock. Turning around he shut the door, picked up his bag and walked over to the others only for a signal to come through the TARDIS mainframe showing up on a screen on the console unit saying ‘see you soon sweeties’.
“How did someone get the TARDIS to alter its pre-programed destination and overwrite it to move us here, wherever we are?” Harry asked both the Doctor and the Master confused over how they had done it.
“I actually don’t know, want to find out?” The Doctor asked with a gleam in his eye, it looked like it was going to be trouble this adventure. After the Master grumbled a bit all four of them left the TARDIS and the things they had got ready for the carnival and were walking out to a balcony open to the fresh air. With books lining everything around them.
“Oh, I know where we are, it's 'The Library', doesn’t have another name, well it doesn’t really need one it the biggest library in the universe, a whole planet filled with books, rows and rows of first editions on everything ever written. All placed here for people to read. At the centre is a massive hard drive holding all the books digitalized it’s the biggest library and hard drive in the whole of the universe that will ever be built, it’s constantly in use even on a Sunday you find people here reading the books that they have on offer.” The Doctor explained to the Master, Harry and Donna.
“Erm yeah, talking about people, there are none. This place was too quiet there isn’t another human being in a fifty mile radius, which while not a lot on a planet this size it still should have someone in this section surly.” Harry Explained. Both the Doctor and the Master looked at him then at each other they seemed to have some sort of communication between them which caused the Master to sigh.
“Fine, we need to find a main terminal and see what’s going on.” The Master decided obviously losing the telepathic argument going on between the Doctor and the Master.
“Welcome!” Came another voice from the left of them. The four of them all walked into another room which looked like a reception area of some sort or maybe a help centre. Suddenly a node turned around wearing a human face.
“Tell me they did not?” Donna demanded after seeing the live face turn around on the help side of the desk.
“it’s the fifty first century, it’s like donating your shoes.” The Doctor explained to Donna.
“Oh, they did.” Donna spoke in shock. She looked fairly sick and pale at the conformation it really was the actual skin of a face off someone who had died.
“I am courtesy node seven ten slash aqua. Please, enjoy The Library and respect the personal access codes of your fellow readers regardless of species or hygienic taboos.” A monotonous female voice Spoke from the node.
“Additionally, there follows a brief message from the Head Librarian for your urgent attention. It has been edited for tone and content by a Felman Lux filter of decency. Message follows: Run. For god’s sake, run. Nowhere is safe. The Library has sealed itself. We can’t… Oh. They’re here. They’re…. Already…. Here. Message ends. Please, turn off your mobile com units for the comfit of other readers.” The monotonous female voice spoke again before a male voice came from her mouth then it returned to the monotonous voice of the face on the node.
“Any other messages?” The Doctor asked the courtesy node.
“An additional message follows. This message has a Felman Lux coherence warning of fifty” The monotonous female voice stated to say from the node again.
“Yeah, fine, fine, fine, just put it on.” The Doctor interrupted it so he could hear the message quicker.
“Message follows: Count the shadows. For god’s sake, remember. If you want to live, count the shadows. Message ends.” The node spoke again but the message was a male voice this time again just a different male person speaking.
“Well, that doesn’t sound creepy at all, what is here? And I know that running comment it is going to make this adventure a nightmare induced sleep once it’s over. Whoever sent us here obviously wants our help or us dead.” Harry spoke after giving a brief shudder. The Master had been playing around with one of the computer consoles while listening into the information off the node.
“Oh, it’s definitely going to cause running, we may be in trouble here actually!” The Master told the other three taking his eyes off what he was looking at to look at the other three there with him.
“What have you found?” The Doctor asked the Master. The Master motioned for the others to join him. The Doctor, Harry and Donna crowded around the terminal the Master was using.
“See here I look for life and I find four, only us four in the entire library which is an entire planet just the four of us on a planet, but if I adjust the parameters for the computer to find any lifeforms on the planet, this is the result. Millions upon millions of lifeforms, there is that many lifeforms in this library that the computer can’t even count them all it stops as it reaches it ability to count them and that is more than worrying as you said this holds the biggest hard drive ever built, in the history of this universe and for it not to be able to count the other lifeforms with us is very worrying especially as we can’t see any of them then there is the fact that yet again the computer can’t identify the lifeforms for us, every species visits this library to read the books or do research from their reference section but the computer doesn’t know what the other lifeforms are!” The Master explained to them showing them the reading on the screen as he adjusted the computer settings to show them all the different information as he was explaining it to them.
“What’s concerning me is the shadow comment.” Harry told them all worried.
“Yes, that is strange. But we all only have one and the others in the room are coming off the sun, so we are safe for now Arbitrator.” The Master told Harry. They all started to walk out of the reception through the exit at the other side of the room this time. They were led into a corridor full of shelved books with enough light you could read the names of the books even though they towered over both the Master and the Doctor, they had walked for about a minute or so when the light nearest where they had exited from went out followed by the one after it about half a minute later. The Doctor, the Master and Harry noticed this and shared a look with each other.
“Run?” Harry asked, looking at both the Doctor and the Master.
“Yes, and quickly before we lose any more lights.” The Master stated then the Master grabbed Harry’s hand and started running through the corridor the way they were going.
“In here!” Harry shouted after they had run for about two minutes and then Harry removed his wand by hitting the rune on his right forearm with a burst of Magic to allow it to drop into his hand and blasted a warped door down. The four of them ran into the room and Harry repaired the door quickly before releasing his wand and it was automatically recalled back into its holster on his right forearm. Looking around they all made for the middle of the room looking at each other, all four of them looked worried. Harry looked up and saw a wooden sphere floating in mid-air.
“Hello. Sorry to barge into this room and smash the door down before repairing it, but do you mind if we stay here for a bit to catch our breath?” Harry explained then asked the sphere. The sphere fell to the floor as if it was a puppet with its strings cut.
“What’s that?” Donna asked out of breath, pointing at the dropped sphere it had literally just fallen out of the air.
“Security camera.” The Doctor Explained and touched it with a foot.
“It has offed itself for some reason.” The Doctor explained further then bent down and picked it up and looked at it thoughtfully. The Doctor took his screwdriver out of his pocket and pointed it at the camera.
“What was that thing about the light going out after us? Please, tell me we didn’t flee from a power outage.” Donna asked then explained still half out of breath.
“Possibly.” The Doctor answered her concentrating more on the sphere.
“Do you think we’re safe here?” Harry asked looking up at the ceiling. The ceiling was an uncovered half sphere that let you see the sky outside.
“I think so. We’re in one of the shops that The Library has.” The Doctor explained looking up form what he was doing to see where they had ended up before going back to the sphere, the Doctor was holding in one of his hands and Harry looked around and saw that it was true they were in a shop.
“Got you!” The Doctor shouted in triumph. Harry looked at the Doctor and saw that the camera’s eyeglass had opened.
“No, stop it, no.” The Doctor exclaimed aloud talking to the sphere.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I really am. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. It’s alive.” The Doctor explained apologising to the live sphere even if it was only a security camera.
“The security camera is?” Donna asked the Doctor.
“Yes.” The Doctor confirmed pocketing his screwdriver after leaving the sphere to rest on the floor.
“Others are coming.” Harry read aloud from text underneath the eye section of the sphere.
“Others? What others?” Harry asked but neither the Doctor, the Master or the security camera answered him, but Harry hadn’t expected any of them to. He didn’t have the answer looking though all the timelines, so he doubted the Doctor or Master did.
“Excuse me, what does it mean others are coming?” Harry asked to a new node that was in the shop that they had entered and were all stood in.
“It’s like a scale that tells you the weight. It can’t help you.” The Master explained to Harry.
“So, what are we going to do, it looks like were in a shop…. Donna stop! Come back over to us quickly. Master, Doctor, count the shadows, there one more than there should be.” Harry exclaimed seeing another shadow in the room that should not have been there.
“Oh! I’m thick, I'm so old and have so much information in my head that I need a bigger one!” The Doctor exclaimed while pulling at his hair as though it would make the Doctors head become bigger.
“All of us need to get back to the TARDIS now.” The Doctor told the others next while looking at them all it was a demand really to the other three.
“Doctor stop worrying the shadow has gone look.” Harry explained as he pointed to where it had been he hadn’t figured out what was happening but the look on the Doctor face was one of sheer horror.
“It’s not gone its moved, we really need to get back to the TARDIS now.” The Doctor exclaimed while he looked at the Master, Harry followed his line of sight and suddenly the Master eyes turned worried. The Doctor was the first to react.
“Arbitrator I order you to use SATURN to get us to the TARDIS now!” The Doctor actually ordered Harry using arm signals to get everyone around him so they could touch him. Before Harry could do anything other than set the scan going shocked that he had no choice but to follow the Doctors order, another node spoke. Harry knew that he could be given orders off his biological dad now that they had a bond as he was one of his parents, but the Doctor wasn’t even if he was now acting in that role towards Harry, but the order had actually taken hold and Harry had to do as he had been ordered to do.
“Reminding: The Library has been breached. Others are coming. Reminding: The Library has been breached. Others are coming. Reminding: The Library has been breached.” The node in the room with them spoke only for a loud and bright explosion interrupting the node and a door blew open. They could see something moving between the white smoke that entered the room first and a figure entered, followed by five more. They seemed to be dressed in a white spacesuit each. The node continued repeating the warning, but they paid no mind to it. The first figure in the spacesuit that had entered approached them and stopped in front of them, where the visor cleared so that they could see a woman smiling.
“Hello, sweeties.” The woman exclaimed to the Doctor, the Master and Harry.
“Right Arbitrator I release my previous order over you.” The Doctor spoke releasing the order to take them all to the TARDIS now seeing the others entering the room.
“Thanks Doctor, I think we just figured out who sent us here don’t you?” Harry spoke with dry humour feeling the order being released, but Harry was still a bit shocked it had worked on him both ways now.
“Doctor, Master and Arbitrator, it’s good to see you!” The woman told the three of them.
“You know us then? In fact, no that doesn’t matter. All of you, get back in your rocket and fly away. Tell your grandchildren that you came to The Library and lived, they won’t believe you!” The Doctor asked the woman then he demanded that they all leave.
“Take off your helmets the air if fine for us to all breathe!” The woman told the others with her, removing her own helmet after she had told the other to.
“How can you tell they could be androids?” One of the males in the group with the woman demanded to know.
“I've dated an android and they are all silly you can tell the difference!” The woman’s replied having already removed her own helmet by then.
“Who are these?” A man asked approaching the woman who seemed to be in charge looking at the Doctor, the Master, Harry and Donna who were still stood together in the middle of the room.
“You said we would be the only expedition. I paid for the exclusive.” The same man exclaimed coming up to the woman and the four of them.
“I lied. I always lie. There have to be others it’s not as fun without others to help.” The woman replied to the man.
“Miss Evangelista, I want the contracts signed by them.” The man snapped at a pretty girl with black hair who moved on over to them after the man had spoken to her.
“Hello, I'm Mister Lux's personal everything. You need to sign these contracts agreeing that your individual experience inside the library are the intellectual property of the Felman Lux Corporation.” Miss Evangelista told the four of them.
“Right give them to me!” The Master told her which Miss Evangelista did. As she had finished handing them out the Master looked to the Doctor, then the Master turned back to Miss Evangelista.
“Yeah, sorry no pens on us and the Arbitrator is too young to sign a legal document he’s only a child and as his dads’ we aren’t signing it for him!” The Master told her and then the Master ripped all the contracts up and threw them behind himself.
“Now that’s sorted out! All of you, get back in your rocket and fly away! Am I understood?” The Doctor explained then asked.
“Never mind the contracts I didn’t sign one either and we have other things to sort out Mr. Lux! Did you four enter by the north door? How was that? Much damage?” The woman who had told all the others to remove their helmets asked the Master, the Doctor, Harry and Donna.
“Please, just leave. I’m asking you seriously and properly, leave…. Hang on, did you say expedition?” The Doctor told them seriously then he asked looking at the men and women in spacesuits just realising what the man Mr. Lux had said.
“My expedition. I funded it.” The man from before who had been the only other one of that group to speak explained.
“Ohhh… No, please, no. Tell me you aren’t archaeologists!” The Doctor nearly begged them all, putting his hands on his hips he hated archaeologists they never got the truth right.
“Do you have problems with archaeologists?” The woman asked the Doctor.
“We’re Time travellers. we point and laugh at the archaeologists.” The Doctor answered her. The blonde woman laughed and Harry had to hide a little smile. She extended her hand and the three Time Lords shook it one after the other though he eyes lingered on Harry more.
“Professor River Song. Archaeologist.” The woman introduced herself to all three Time Lords.
“Hello, I’m the Doctor that’s the Master and he’s the Arbitrator who you seem to know. River Song. Pretty name.” The Doctor explained and praised the woman while he pulled her over to the others in spacesuits.
“When you leave, and you’re leaving now, you need to set a quarantine on the planet. The whole planet. Nobody comes near, ever again. Not one living thing for the rest of the time this universe has to go. No one comes here never again ever. Stop right there!” The Doctor told them all, but the last sentence was said as an order really to the woman he was directing it to. The exclamation made a woman pause that had been nearing the more shadowy part of the room before the Doctor stopped her.
“What’s your name?” The Doctor asked her.
“Anita.” The woman Replied to the question off the Doctor.
“Anita.” The Doctor repeated her name.
“Stay away from the shadows. Not a foot, not a finger in the shadows, till your safely back in your ship. Goes for all of you, stay in the light.” The Doctor explained, Harry saw with surprise that the blond woman, River Song, didn’t seem surprised by the Doctors behaviour.
“Find a good bright spot and stay there. If you understand me look very, very scared.” The Doctor demanded of them next.
“No, the Doctor meant a lot more scared than any of you look we are all in serious trouble here you need to get back to your ship and we need to get back to ours and quickly!” Harry told them as he looked at them all. Something had really scared both the Master and the Doctor especially for the Doctor to try and give Harry an order and not be shocked that it worked the Doctor just wanted to get them all back to the TARDIS.
“Do as the older one said but start unpacking the equipment while I talk to these three gentlemen. Follow me you three we need to talk!” River Song stated while looking over to her group then at the Master, the Doctor and Harry. The Master and the Doctor looked at her and realised she would not be leaving. With two put upon sighs the Doctor told Donna to stay in the light for a minute and the three followed her.
“Thanks.” River Song muttered to the three of them that were now with her over by a counter.
“For what?” The Doctor asked her.
“For the same as always. Coming when I call you.” River Song replied as if it was that simple.
“It was you? You sent us the message and overrode the mainframe?” Harry asked Shocked.
“Yes it was me, but you’re all to young I sent you the message and altered the destination but it brought you all here too soon my diary is no good to me the Arbitrator is still a child.” She replied to Harry holding a blue diary up she had taken out of her bag, she looked sad seeing them how they looked now.
“What diary?” The Doctor asked next.
“Spoilers from your future about everything we’ve ever done together all written down so that the four of us know where we are up to in each other’s lives!” Rive Song answered the Doctor sadly. Then she stroked the Doctors cheek, looking at the three of them. Harry looked away at seeing the familiarity she had with the Doctor it was as though she knew the Doctor well Harry felt a little upset at that the Doctor was his Pere and something had made it so it was real or that order wouldn’t have taken the Doctor was now more like his second dad and Harry really wanted the Doctor and the Master to become a proper couple not just bringing him up together so that he could have a real family.
“So, you’ve seen us before?” The Doctor asked looking at her hand and pushed it away. The Doctor had seen how Harry had looked away with slight sadness in his eyes at the familiar gesture off Professor River Song. The Doctor didn’t want to send Harry mixed signals the Doctor thought of Harry as his son and loved the Master. They were interrupted talking further by what sounded like a telephone ringing from a computer terminal one of the men was messing with. The Master, the Doctor and Harry ran to the terminal and after the Doctor played with it. Suddenly a little girl appeared on the screen who the Doctor tried to talk to, to get a grown up so he could speak to them. After a short conversation, the signal cut out. The Doctor and the Master tried other computer terminals but no matter what they tried they couldn’t get the little girl back on the screen. The Doctor kept pushing at the terminal he was at using his screwdriver to get through the layers of encryption until he got to something called CAL then all access became denied.
“How does the date core work? What’s its principle? What’s CAL?” The Doctor asked a while later, when the Doctor realised even he couldn’t get past it. CAL was too well protected even for the Doctor to get through the encryption.
“Ask Mr. Lux.” River Song told the Doctor.
“CAL. What is it?” The Master asked this time looking directly at Mr. Lux.
“Sorry, you didn’t sign your personal experience contract.” Mr. Lux answered the Master while looking at the four. The Doctor jumped down from where he had been perched atop a desk and got right in the face of Mr. Lux.
“Mr. Lux, right now, you’re in more danger than you’ve ever been in your whole life and you’re protecting a patent.” The Doctor told to Mr. Lux not impressed one bit.
“I’m protecting my family’s pride.” Mr Lux replied to the Doctor determined not to answer.
“Well, funny thing Mr. Lux, I don’t want to see the Doctor, Donna or my son dead because some idiot thinks his pride is more important than my sons life so what is CAL?.” The Master told Mr. Lux then asked him scathingly.
Harry couldn’t contain a gasp when he found it. If Harry had been a normal Magical Time Lord, he wouldn’t have sensed anything, but Harry wasn’t and never would be. The awareness Harrys Magic had was something never seen before, something very unique, and it allowed him to sense many more things. Like a magnified conscience.
“Arbitrator?” The Doctor asked with worry just using Harrys name Harry knew the Doctor wanted to know what he had found.
“It’s much more than that, isn’t it, Mr. Lux?” Harry muttered opening his eyes.
“That pride you talk about… We won’t be able to help if you don’t tell us anything. We have no interest, whatsoever, in taking the exclusive from you. We just want to get out of here alive and only you can help us with that, I can assure you no one in our part is interested in breaking your confidentiality so please tell the Master and the Doctor what CAL is?” Harry Explained then asked Mr. Lux. Mr. Lux looked at him with doubt, but he eventually answered the questions the Doctor asked him, yet he never explained what CAL was and it didn’t make sense to the Master, the Doctor or Harry and the timelines were no help either.
“Okay, okay, let’s start at the beginning. What happened here on the day The Library sealed?” The Doctor demanded of those in the new group then asked them, but the Doctor still looked worriedly at Harry.
“On the actual day, a hundred years ago, what physically happened?” The Doctor asked next returning his attention to the people that had entered with River Song.
“There was a message from The Library. The lights are going out and the computer’s sealed the planet. There was nothing for a hundred years. It’s taken three generations of my family just to decode the seals and get back in.” Mr. Lux explained to the Doctor.
“Hum, excuse me.” Miss Evangelista spoke trying to get everyone attention after she had seen an exit that was lit with light.
“Not just now.” Mr Lux told her and even though he was the boss of Miss. Evangelista he had sounded so rude every time he had spoken to her that she walked off into the corridor that had opened in front of her no one noticing her leaving the room.
“There was one more thing in the message.” Professor River Song Explained while she looked for something in her bag.
“That’s confidential.” Mr. Lux interrupted her making Harry sigh.
“I trust these men with my life. With everything. And the same goes for their companion.” River Song told Mr. Lux with some heat in her own voice.
“You’ve just met them!” Mr. Lux Exclaimed to River Song.
“No, they’ve just met me.” River Song Explained. Then it clicked in Harry’s mind. She knew them even though they didn’t know her. It would normally be impossible for her to have met them without them meeting her, but they were forgetting something, they travelled in Time she said she had a diary of their adventures.
“You met us in your past. Our future that’s why you keep a diary so that we all know when we have met you last, you would ask where we were up to then skim though our meetings until you came to the right one then after we finished the one we were on you would write about that.” Harry Explained aloud about her blue diary.
“Sharp as always, even so young Arbitrator.” River Song answered Harry grinning while she looked at Harry with warm eyes. Though that made Harry wonder who she was. She acted as if she knew them very well. Harry had been a little sad when he had seen her touching the Doctors face before, so intimately. As if knowing what he was thinking, she gave him a warm smile, bright with understanding. Somehow, it made Harry relax. Harry supposed he would discover her identity in time.
“Four thousand and twenty two saved. No survivors.” The Doctor spoke reading aloud from one of the computer consoles, taking Harry out of his musings.
“Four thousand and twenty two was the exact number of people that were here in The Library on the day when the planet sealed shut locking everyone out.” River Song explained to the Doctor.
“How can four thousand and twenty two people be saved if there were no survivors?” The Master couldn’t help but ask in his normal everyone’s an idiot but him voice.
“That’s what we’re here to find out.” River Song explained turning to look at the Master.
“And, until now, we haven’t found anybody.” Mr. Lux added into the conversation. Then Professor River Song looked at Harry and then went over to him and lowered her voice so quietly that only he the Master and the Doctor heard her next words.
“Can you feel, you know, Death here Arbitrator? Have there been any sudden large numbers of deaths that would leave an imprint or anything you can pick up on?” Professor River Song asked Harry very quietly while looking at his face.
“How would he be able to do that?” The Master asked quietly back. She looked at Harry apologetically.
“You still haven’t told them?” River Song asked but was still talking quietly so only the three of them would hear her.
“Told us what?” The Master was again quiet but raised an eyebrow at her, but her gaze was intently searching Harrys eyes.
“No. To both questions.” Harry answered. Then Harry turned to the Doctor and the Master.
“All I can tell you at the moment is there is more to my name than you think.” Harry explained to them quietly. Both the Master and the Doctor nodded seriously before giving him a soft smile.
“You don’t have to worry, little one. We already told you we will be there for you every step of the way. You are our son and now we have you back we are not losing you.” The Doctor spoke then the Doctor gave Harry a squeeze on his shoulder. The Master finally spoke up saying they all needed to get back to their ships and quickly. That was when they found out that it was dark the way they had come. Both the Doctor and Master demanded all lights they had to be spread around in a circle making light appear across the floor where they could see everything.
“Doctor we are in the shop which means an exit, which means transporters to send everyone wherever we need them to go!” The Master exclaimed to the Doctor but he looked pointedly at Donna as he spoke. They could see in the timeline there was no getting rid of the expedition, but they could keep Donna safe.
“Arbitrator, stay with the Master, Donna, follow me. I want to get you back to the TARDIS it won’t let the others through, but it will you, the Arbitrator can’t use the technology it’s not protected like the TARDIS is, his Magical abilities would destroy it without him rematerializing, but he has SATURN if he needs her to leave on his own.” The Doctor explained while he grabbed Donna's hand and set off with her out of the room. Five minutes later the Doctor was back on his own.
“It’s a dead-end room but you were right it did have transporters. She’s inside the TARDIS now.” The Doctor explained to the Master and Harry. Suddenly there was a scream, everyone went running towards it, but Harry already knew what they would find, or thought he did, his powers were growing as he had been told they would, but they seemed to be growing a lot quicker on this adventure than ever before, even so he was shocked at the shortness of time from the scream to feeling the soul pass over to the afterlife. They came to another large room that looked like it was for reading in and sat in a chair next to a desk was a skeleton in a deflated white spacesuit.
“Where’s Miss Evangelista?” The Doctor demanded. River Song pressed something on her neck brace from her suit and spoke requesting her. The noise came out of a skeleton scull with the rest of the suit deflated showing that bones were all that were left. The next few minutes where not pretty for any of them listening to the echo of her last words. Once it was over River Song demanded to know what had done it.
“I’ll introduce you. Arbitrators stay near the Master at all times and obey him until we are back in the TARDIS all together, understood!” The Doctor offered then demanded Harry to do as he was told. Harry could see just how worried the Doctor was and so nodded to the Doctor and went and grabbed the Master’s hand making the point he would do as he had been told. If he was honest, he would rather stay next to the Master. Harry knew that Miss Evangelista had died in less than a millisecond and Harry didn’t want it to happened to either the Master or the Doctor, he could feel the Magical residue the death had left and he was worried whatever was here had killed her in less than a millisecond according to the Magical trace.
