The Mission
Lord Voldemort and a hidden accomplice descended on the house of Amelia Bones stealthily. He was as quiet as a snake as they entered the empty house, carefully locking the door as they awaited the witch. The accomplice withdrew the hood of his cloak, revealing a handsome teenage boy. He was nearly the same height as Voldemort, and they walked to a similar cadence. The boy was pale with dark brown eyes, and jet-black hair. He was not as slim as his master; in fact, he was well-built and lean. Physically he appeared stronger than the Dark Lord, but there was no doubt who the stronger wizard was.
“I hope that you have overcome your fears boy! Your actions tonight will prove to me that you are ready for the mission,” snapped Voldemort.
“I have no fears,” responded the teen.
“Don’t lie to me boy!” shouted Voldemort, flicking his wand.
The boy withered in temporary pain, but he refused to express it on his face. He stood up and avoided counterattacking his master. The Dark Lord smirked as he motioned for the boy to come closer.
“Have you ever wondered who your parents are? Have you ever questioned why you were taken at birth?” questioned Voldemort.
“I am sure that you can enlighten me, my Lord,” replied the boy.
Voldemort cackled which caused the boy’s skin to crawl. It was creepy and horrifying at the same time. He had not questioned his origins in years or why he was hidden even from Voldemort’s beloved Death Eaters. He had not met any other witches and wizards aside from Voldemort’s most trusted follower, Bellatrix Lestrange. Recently he had met Severus Snape and the Malfoys which was unplanned. His presence was both confusing and frightening to them.
“I don’t understand how someone with your abilities can be so dumb, Aiden. I am your father!” cackled Voldemort.
Aiden stared at him with disbelief and confusion. Voldemort being his father did not logically make sense, especially considering that he had no heart or that any woman would sleep with him. He seriously pondered who his mother was and why he had never met her.
“Who is my mother?” asked Aiden.
“You have met her on several occasions, boy. Who do you think nursed you when you were a baby?” replied Voldemort.
“I have no recollections of this woman. As far as I know, I have been alone at the manor by myself since you disappeared. The only person who visited me before she was captured was…Bellatrix Lestrange,” started Aiden, realization dawning on him.
Voldemort cackled once again as Aiden attempted to make sense of the situation. Bellatrix’s blind loyalty and obsession with the Dark Lord rendered her vulnerable to his demands. She had joyfully carried the heir to the Dark Lord and had loved him more than Voldemort ever could. Aiden only possessed half of his memories and he had a warped sense of the world.
“I have a gift for you Aiden, but in order for you to receive it you must execute Amelia Bones,” said Voldemort.
“What is the gift?” asked Aiden.
“You live to see another day and I will give you back your memories. I will make you whole again so that you can become the rightful heir to my empire.
Aiden's hesitation is evident as he attempts to cast the Avada Kedavra curse. However, his lack of conviction renders the spell ineffective. Disgusted by Aiden's weakness, Voldemort seizes control, performing the deadly curse himself, ending Amelia Bones' life.
Aiden's failed attempt at executing Amelia Bones leaves Voldemort disgusted yet determined. He decides to give Aiden another chance, understanding the importance of his role as the heir to his empire.
"I shall make you whole again, Aiden," Voldemort declares with a mix of disappointment and resolve. "But first, you must prove your loyalty and commitment."
Aiden, filled with a combination of fear and curiosity, listens intently, awaiting his next assignment.
"You shall not be the one to kill Albus Dumbledore," Voldemort clarifies, surprising Aiden. "That task has been assigned to Draco Malfoy, and we shall ensure his success. Your sole mission, Aiden, is Harry Potter."
Aiden's heart skips a beat at the mention of Harry's name. The Boy Who Lived, the symbol of hope and resistance against Voldemort's tyranny. To infiltrate Harry's world, gain his trust, and ultimately deliver him to the Dark Lord would be a task of utmost importance.
"You will become a spy, Aiden," Voldemort continues, his voice filled with malicious intent. "Learn everything about Potter—his friends, his weaknesses, his vulnerabilities. Gain his trust, and when the time is right, bring him to me."
Aiden's mind races, trying to comprehend the enormity of the mission bestowed upon him. He must immerse himself in the wizarding world, navigate its intricacies, and deceive those around him, all in pursuit of Harry Potter's downfall.
"And there is something else," Voldemort adds, his eyes gleaming with a sinister glint. "The prophecy. My Death Eaters failed to recover it, but I believe it holds the key to my ultimate victory. You, Aiden, will uncover the prophecy and bring it to me. Its secrets must be mine."
Aiden's thoughts whirl with a mixture of trepidation and determination. To fulfill his destiny as Voldemort's heir, he must walk the path of shadows, balancing the precarious act of playing both sides.
"I understand my Lord," Aiden replies, his voice tinged with a newfound steeliness. "I will do whatever it takes to accomplish these tasks and prove my worth."
Voldemort's piercing gaze lingers on Aiden, evaluating his resolve and determination. Aiden can feel the weight of his expectations, and a surge of fear mixed with anticipation courses through his veins.
"But remember, Aiden," Voldemort's voice drips with a venomous warning, "failure is not an option. You must prove your loyalty to me by fulfilling this mission."
Aiden's mind races, grappling with conflicting emotions. On one hand, he desires to understand his past, to uncover the truth about his mother and the reasons behind his existence. On the other hand, the magnitude of the task ahead looms before him, threatening to consume his every thought.
"I... I will not fail you, my Lord," Aiden finally replies, his voice betraying a hint of hesitation. "I will do whatever it takes to ensure the success of our cause."
Voldemort's thin lips curl into a predatory smile, his crimson eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
As Aiden leaves the presence of Lord Voldemort, he carries the weight of his new identity. With each step he takes, he knows that his path is no longer his own. He must immerse himself in the shadows, play the double game, and ultimately bring Harry Potter to his dark destiny.
The journey ahead is treacherous, filled with uncertainty and moral dilemmas. But Aiden is resolved to prove himself, to discover the truth about his past, and to carve his place in the annals of wizarding history as the heir to Voldemort's empire.
