"Hey Jamie" Pt 1
James sat in Regulus's old bedroom, looking through old journals and letters, old paintings and drawings. All things Regulus had and did in his youth and hid away.
James was silently crying as he went through the items, smiling through the tears as he tried to interpret what half of the items even meant, and all the memories some of the items must have carried.
It had been three years since Regulus disappeared without a trace.
The only one who claimed to know what happened, was Kreacher, and he wouldn't say. Said it was 'too horrible to ever want to speak of, to ever relive'.
James would never know what came of his fiancé.
The fiancé who he swore that he would always love, to take care of, to be there for; James hated that he couldn't keep his promise.
Hated himself because of all people, James should have been the one to protect Regulus, from whatever took his Reggie from him.
It made him bitter.
But now was not the time for bitterness, now was a time to delve into Regulus's past and youth, to try to learn even more about his lost love.
James sat there for hours, looking though photo albums, paintings Regulus did, journals of Regulus's, Regulus's old (sad boy) poetry, letters that, he, James, wrote to Regulus that Regulus kept, old sketches Regulus drew, the clothes he had in his closet, before and after transition, all the old books Regulus had owned (that James mostly found extremely boring and would never read in a million life times), and so on and so forth.
Then James heard something.
The front door opening, then closing.
"Sirius must be here, for some reason.." James thought to himself, for no one besides Sirius, James, and Remus, (and the Black sisters) knew how to get into this place.
James listened as someone walked up the steps.
James thought it was Sirius going into his old room, but then the door to Regulus's old room, where James was, opened with a creak.
James looked around, and nearly fainted.
Standing there, pale as a ghost, scarred beyond belief, clothes torn, battered, and bloodied, black hair a complete mess and unkempt, skinny as hell, and empty looking, was Regulus Arcturus Black.
"Hello, Potter- er, hey, Jamie."
