Dementors
Kingsley looked at the public and asked in a calm voice:” Abraxas Malfoy was slightly mad. Is everyone here sure they want to see the next video?”
Some people talked in hushed voices but nobody left.
The video continued.
You could only see one person this time. It was Alecto. She was running through a dark hallway and you could hear the others talking and running in front of her.
She looked into the camera and said in a stressful voice:” we heard Lucius scream some seconds ago. We think something bad has happened. “
Just as she said that the audience heard another loud and terrifying scream. The person who screamed was definitely close.
Alecto and the others seemed to have found where Lucius was. They opened the door and almost threw themselves in.
Nothing could have prepared them or the audience for the scene in front of them.
Lucius Malfoy was lying on the floor while several dementors tried to suck out his soul. His father was standing in a corner, laughing.
He laughed while his son was seconds from death. He was just standing there laughing like a mad man.
Bellatrix took out her wand from her pocket and said in a somehow calm voice:” expectro patronus “.
A beautiful snake instantly come out from her wand and pressed the dementors out of an open window and they fast disappear into the dark and storming night.
Rodolphus also took out his wand and stunned Abraxas Malfoy who was still laughing in the corner.
All of them instantly ran towards Lucius. He seemed to be conscious and was breathing but his eyes was cold, emotionless and empty. Not like the previous videos when his eyes had a glint of fire in them. More like the way they were ever since the war ended.
Bellatrix shook his shoulders while she almost screamed “ Lucius do you hear me “ over and over again.
He didn’t acknowledge her and didn’t move at all.
Rabastan rolled up his sleeve and pressed his hand on his dark mark. Seconds later Voldemort appeared. But he didn’t look like the snake version everybody know. He had black/brown curly hair and brown beautiful eyes. He seemed to be around 25 years old even if he supposedly should have been around 50 years old by then.
He looked at Lucius then at the others and lastly at the stunned Abraxas. He said in a calm voice:” Can someone tell me what is happening here”?
Amycus was the first to answer. “ Abraxas Malfoy sent some dementors on Lucius and they almost sucked out his soul. Bellatrix took care of them and Rodolphus stunned Abraxas. “
Voldemort took out his wand and did a full diagnosis charm on him. He looked up and said:” he didn’t lost his soul but the dementors managed to take away all his happiness. He will probably forget some memories but they will come back. He will not” Voldemort voice trailed off and he needed to calm himself before continue. “ He will not be able to develop future happy memories. He will not be able to feel happiness ever again. Maybe he can smile real smiles and laugh in some years but he will never feel true happiness or love ever again. He will maybe not even be able to feel sadness or grief. He will must likely only feel empty at all time.”
It took some seconds for his words to sink in. Alecto broke down in tears and Rabastan only stared at the ceiling. Rodolphus fell on the floor, Amycus fell on one knee and Rabastan only started at Lucius. He was scared of the person who had been a kind of older brother to him all this years. Bellatrix took some calming breathes but then screamed out in agony. She couldn’t believe it. Not Lucius. He didn’t deserve that. He was just about to be a father and this happens.
Voldemort waited a few seconds before continue. “ I heard Narcissa is pregnant. I just want to warn you. Lucius will not react well to children. He will have little patience and it’s a big chance he will abuse him. “
Rodolphus looked at him with sad eyes. “ he will become what he promised not to be. He will become like his father “.
Bellatrix suddenly look up. “ I can take care of my niece or nephew. Narcissa can take care of Lucius and visit whenever she wants. Then we can slowly let Lucius families with his child. “
Rodolphus looked at Bellatrix with an unreadable expression.” Bella are you sure about that. It will be hard to take care of a newborn baby and Narcissa can disagree. “
Before Bellatrix could answer Voldemort spoke up. “ I may not know Narcissa well but I think she will understand that this is the best idea right now. Lucius would never be able to live with himself if he hurt his child.”
Everyone was silent for around a minute. The first to spoke up was Rabastan. “ the other death eaters can also help. We all can help raising Narcissa’s child. We can also help Narcissa take care of Lucius. You can have a meeting and explain the situation to the others right. “
Everyone was now looking at Voldemort. He looked around and slowly almost hesitated nodded.
