Chapter 1

I'm letting everyone know now that both the timeline of the story and the ages of certain characters are different in n this story then the original. For example regulus does not die in the cave until 1982 instead of 1979 and I know it doesn't make much sense but Lucius, the black sisters, and the blacks are all the same age and in seventh year, so if your going to get annoyed by the inaccuracy leave now.

Regulus black

Seventh year

Idiots. The lot of them. I'm sitting in the great hall watching from the Slytherin table as my brother and his group of morons get yelled at by professor McGonagle, again.

What did the bloody idiots do, you ask? Well they had they brilliant idea to put fireworks under one of the Professors desks but not only that but went back to their common room and boasted about it like idiots which in turn lead to one of the fourth year gryffendorks turning them in for brownie points with the Professors.

So hear I am watching with my cousins and best friends as my brother tries and fails to sweet talk our professor in the center of the great hall almost as if they intended to put on a show for everyone. "That boy is going to get himself killed." Andromeda said shaking her head in disappointment as she watched serious from our little group in the middle of the Slytherin table.

"Good riddance." Snape grumbles making Narcissa roll her eyes and bellatrix laugh. "The real question is whether it's going to be because him and James did something so stupid it killed them or so stupid McGonagle murdered them?" Even says and Barry looks at him with a thoughtful expression. "Good question."

"I could see it going either way." I reply and it really is the truth since I got to Hogwarts I've watched my brother and his idiotic friends get into trouble and watched this exact scene happen over a million times over the years. Sirius does something stupid, McGonagle yells at Sirius, Sirius tries to sweet talk McGonagle, Sirius fail to sweet talk McGonagle, McGonagle gives Sirius detention, Sirius finds a way out of detention, all is peaceful in the World again, well at least till then next day when the cycle repeats itself.

"Who would like to make a little wager?" Even says pulling out a bag of gallons that I bet he was saving for this exact moment. "I say the first one, those four are dumb enough to get the smartest wizard in the world killed by accident." Barty say's throwing a couple gallons on the table.

"I don't know barty, McGonagle can get pretty damn pissed and you know what they say hell hath no fury like a women scorned." Andromeda says throwing her own bag in with the mix. "Anyone else want to get in on this? Severus?" I almost laugh at the suggestion that Severus would take part in this. "I think the fools death will be reward in itself, thank you very much." He says once again in a grumbly tone that could depress even the happiest of souls.

"How could you be so—"

"Absolute imbeciles—"

"Can't believe you—"

"Should expel you right here—"

I only hear bits and pieces of my brother and his friends conversation with the professor but from what I can tell he's about to get his arse beat by an old woman. "Oh come on—" I hear him say.

"A harmless prank—"

"Just a snitch—"

"Can't blame us for having fun—"

"You know I'm right—"

I hear Sirius argue and mentally roll my eyes at the wanker. I don't know what's stupider, him doing idiotic things, or trying to justify why he did something idiotic. McGonagle has walked to the head of the room while my brother and his friends stayed in place pleading to her from halfway across the room. "Enough Mr. Black, I—"

"No!" Someone screams and we are all blinded by a big flash of light. Suddenly there is more then double the students their was before and children I don't know are all over the great hall. Each one of them in dirty bloodied up clothes and scratch's everywhere, like they just came back from war. We are all on our feet now looking around the room at the hundreds of other kids that just appeared out of thin air.

Said children are also looking around confused, hell even the professors are now standing up looks of similar confusion on the faces. "What the bloody hell is going on?" Andromeda breaths from beside me, astonished and confused. Similar questions are in everyone's eyes as we watch the scene with nervous eyes and shallow breaths. Dumbledick has gotten up and is now standing in front of McGonagle at the head of the room.

There is a large group in the center of the room only a few feet from my brother and his friends that seem to be the focus of everyone's attention. Two redheads, one taller and older and the other shorter and younger, a pink haired girl who seemed older then the rest, a brunette boy who had an eerie resemblance to Frank Longbottom, a little blond girl who couldn't be more then nine years old, and a girl who looked similar to my own age and had locks of golden curls.

The two red haired boys were holding the girl with the golden curls who looked like she'd just been shot by the arms. Each of them was flipping there heads in every direction confusion clear in there expressions. I brought my eyes to my older brother who was watching the group with an expression similar to theirs while whispering something to James.

Bringing my eyes bag to the odd strangers I watched as the girl in the center's eyes widened when coming in contact with McGonagle's. McGonagle put her hand over her mouth in surprise. The girl shook the red haired twins grip off and started walking forward, purpose in her steps. Dumbledore stepped towards her. "Miss Granger I—" the girl side stepped the headmaster completely ignoring him not even sparing a glance.

"She's my new hero." Even says quietly from beside me complete awe written all over his face. The girl with golden locks was now spread walking over to Professor McGonagle with a both determination and desperation in her eyes. Once she reached the older woman who was holding her hand to her mouth in shock she flung herself at her embracing her in a hug that the older witch was quick to return pulling her close.

At this point even I couldn't contain my shock let alone the other idiots in the room who wore their emotions like a badge. Never in the six and a half years I'd been at Hogwarts had I ever seen McGonagle give someone more then a pat on the arm, let alone a full blown bloody hug.

"Looks like Sirius might have some competition for the title of McGonagle's favorite." Barty said with a whistle and I find myself agreeing with him as I watch my brothers mouth drop open in shock like the fool he is.

Hermione Granger

I opened my eyes to find that we were no longer outside but in the great hall—only it's not the great hall. The great hall was now no more then rubble and ash but this great hall was the same as it had been before the war, before all of it. It's golden hood atmosphere shining bright the aura happy and bright. The house banners hung proudly once again and

students—students i didn't recognize—sat at each of the tables but had each stopped whatever they were doing at their intrusion.

The scream—which i was now realizing was my own—was echoing in my ears as i looked around the room my eyes going a hundred different directions but something held my body from turning with them. All eyes were on me—on us—and I felt myself begin to shake. This isn't right, something's wrong. I said to myself. Finally my eyes connect with ones well known to me and I feel as though I've been struck in the heart.

Standing behind our—supposed to be dead—headmaster is our old transfiguration professor and current headmistress. McGonagle's eyes are shiny with tears yet to be shed. My body moves on its own accord, so fast my mind can barely keep up. I'm moving so fast I barely even notice Dumbledore as I pass by him flying directly into Professor McGonagles arms.

So many things were happening around them but neither one heard a thing as they pulled each other closer with tears in their eyes and pain in their hearts. It was finally Hermione who pulled away from the older witch who was now clutching her face in her wrinkled and aged hands.

"I assume something terrible has happened." The older witch said and I could feel myself crumbling at the words. "The worst." I replied with a small sniffle and it was only with Professor—with Minerva wiping under my eyes that I realized I was crying.  Focus. "I don't understand professor, what's going on? Where are we—" I ask but think better of it. "When are we?" I ask a little quieter, more unsure.

"Look around Miss Granger, you tell me." By now I am not the only one on the Dias with the professor, the group I had been with before being transported here stands around us in a small group. Standing with us is Fred, George, Ron, Neville, and Nymphidora. My eyes catch Nymphidoras and I take a step htowards her about to embrace her when I see him.

Shoving through a group of people is the person I only moments ago had thought was dead, lost forever. His eyes are set on mine and i feel my vision blur with tears. I push through the friends that are currently huddled around me just as he steps on to the Dias. "Harry!" I gasp as we rush towards each other meeting in the middle in the tightest hug yet both of us with tears streaming down our faces.

We hold each other for what feels like an eternity just basking in the fact that we're both still alive. He's alive.

Regulus

Suddenly there is a boy pushing through my brother and his friends his eyes on the ground on the Dias who are  huddled around McGonagle. The boy is staring at them with a startling intensity, his eyes hopping from one person to the next and then he's walking forward.

He has this desperate look on his face as he stares into a particular spot. I follow his gaze and feel me the girl with the golden curls on the other end of it. She goes still, her eyes connecting and she gasps and I see tears spring to her eyes. It's like time is frozen for a moment before they begin to move. The girl is pushing through her friends and he is rushing towards her with desperate steps, they collide somewhere in the middle.

They cling to each other desperately and this time the girl lets the tears fall as they laugh and smile. Suddenly she pulls back doing the thing we least expected. She smacks him across the face so hard his face is moved to the side. "Well that was unexpected." Even mutters and I can't help but nod to n agreement. The whole student body—and the mysterious

newcomers—all watch the scene with different expressions.

The students I have come to know all watch the scene with some sort of confused expression but the others, the hundreds of kids who came out of nowhere, they watch the display with an intensity I don't understand, with varying reactions. Some cry with sadness, some with joy, some hopeful, some defeated, but one thing is certain. This moment means something. Maybe not to me but to them, these strangers, the moment is meaningful.

"I thought you were dead, you bloody idiot!" She cries still reeling from the slap she gave him. The red headed trio walk  up next all taking turns hugging the dark haired boy with glasses intensely. All cry, each in happiness and relief. "Mr. Potter," McGonagle says as she approaches. I hear gasps one of them from beside me and another across the room at my brothers side. Potter?

I now see the resemblance the two boys share but I don't think that the potters ever had another child, I doubt they'd be so keen on taking in all those strays if they did. The boy did share a resemblance to James, dark hair, glasses, same face too, but the eyes...bloody hell those eyes were Lily's! "Are you lads seeing what I'm seeing?" I manage to squeak out. I see movement in my peripheral vision, meaning they must be nodding.

"Oh please don't tell me our cousin and his friends have gone and made clones of themselves, I don't think I can handle two groups of gryffidor idiots." Andromeda groans. "Worry not cousin I don't think that's what this is." I reassure her, though my eyes never leave the group that stands only near feet from us. "I don't know Reg, the redhead could be Evens's, that kid with the glasses is like potter's duplicate, and that golden haired one could pass as Lupins if he was a girl—"

That I had to say was laughable at best. While the kid with glasses was truly potter's duplicate, the redheads were clearly Weasley's as there hair was more orange then the red of Lily Evens, and the only thing that girl had in common looks wise with Lupin was the hair color and even than, hers was a little more golden. "Like I said I don't think that's what this is." And I didn't.

Looking at the scene in front of me the biggest thing that stands out to me is the amount of kids that appeared, most—if not all—of them seem to be our age and younger, the years one would go to Hogwarts. If my mind serves me correct I remember reading something in Hogwarts: a history, that implied that this sort of thing could happen if students were In enough danger. I have to say I never thought I'd see the day.

"I agree with regulus, I think this is something more then just another result of your cousin's stupidity." Lucius commented from beside my beloved cousin Narcissa. We all turn back to the scene in front of us and suddenly a pair of Honey colored eyes are on mine. There gazing into my eyes with her own wide open and full of surprise is the golden haired lion.

Ok what do you think? I've had this idea for a while and I've had major writing block on my other story so thought I'd just give it a try.
