Do You Have An Appointment?
Summary
Hermione has some documents for Lucius, but she can't get into his office at the Ministry of Magic. His secretary won't allow her in.

Hermione got off the elevator and walked down the marbled floors of the Ministry of Magic. With a folder of documents in her hand, she made her way to the outer offices of Lucius Malfoy's department.

"Is Mr. Malfoy in?" Hermione stopped to ask. "Yes, he is in", Hermione began to walk towards his office door, "Oh ma'am, but you can not go in there". A tall slender blond woman wearing a black pencil skirt, with a white rather low cut blouse and black high heels informed Hermione. Hermione stopped and turned back, "May I ask why not?". The woman looked her up and down and said, "He didn't want to be disturbed."

"Excuse me, but who are you and where is Mrs. McCloud?"

"Oh, Mrs. McCloud is on vacation. I'm Miss Porterville"

Taking a deep breath, "Well Miss Porterville, I need to see him"

"Oh, and do you have an appointment?" the woman looked at her appointment calendar as she asked. "He has a full schedule you know." smiling at Hermione. As politely as Hermione could she answered, "No, I do not have an appointment. I have documents he asked for and he wanted me to bring them to him now, so I know he won't mind me interrupting his day." Hermione turned and began walking towards his door. Miss Porterville came from around her desk to run after Hermione trying to catch her before she opened the door. The door opened. Lucius looked up and took off his reading glasses and smiled just getting ready to greet Hermione when he heard a voice from over Hermione's shoulder, "Sir, I am so sorry. I told her you didn't want to be disturbed and that she needed to make an appointment. I'm so sorry Sir."

Lucius couldn't believe what he just heard. Horrified, his eyes widened as he looked towards the woman dressed in a teal shoulder capped sheath dress with matching heels, her lips pierced together, her arms crossed, and her eyes narrowing, burning a hole through him. Lucius looked towards his secretary, "What? Wait, you told her she needed an appointment?" Miss Porterville looked at him and responded, "Yes Sir"

Sighing and rubbing the bridge of his nose, he stood and made his way around to the front of his desk. Hermione looked furious as Miss Porterville came and stood in between her and Lucius.

"Miss..."
"Porterville. Sasha Porterville Sir" She batted her eyes and smiled at him. Hermione's mouth dropped as she saw the flirtation and instantly narrowed her eyes at the woman and dropped her crossed arms putting them on her hips. Lucius eyes narrowed and he gritted his teeth, "Miss Porterville, the first day you came did I not give you a list..." Lucius's tone of voice was firm and rising "of people who could come in my office no matter what I was doing regardless of my schedule or who I was meeting with. Do you remember that?"

Startled at the anger on Lucius face and his rising voice, Miss Porterville answered, "Yes Sir" she gulped. "Ok then do you remember the names on said list?" Her voice cracked, "Yes Sir". Lucius waved his arms as a gesture for her to continue. "You said the Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt, Harry Potter, your children: Draco, Caelum, Aurora and Guiliana Malfoy. Your daughter in law Astoria Malfoy and your grandson Scorpius and your wife Mrs. Hermione Malfoy"

"Well I am glad you remembered all the names on my list, but tell me as many times as you have looked and complimented the pictures in my office..." he gestured toward then. "Oh yes sir they are lovely, you have a lovely family" she said cheeringly. He nodded. With is voice louder and sterner than before he said "Well Miss Porterville, please tell me why you denied access to my wife AND told her she needed to make an appointment" she sighed with the realization of what he said. "Furthermore, I do not like for my wife to be upset. You may leave Miss Porterville" With a crackling voice and her body shaking she tried her best to look at him and answered softly, "Yes Sir". She began to turn to walk away, "No Miss Porterville get your belongings and leave. Go back to the pool is it? And tell the manager NOT to send anyone else to this office. I will not have my office turned upside down. I will not tolerate people who can not follow the simplest of directions."

Hermione saw the beginning of tears forming in Miss Porterville's eyes as she turned towards Hermione and Lucius, "I am sorry Sir. I am sorry Mrs. Malfoy I did not recognize you." with that she turned and walked out his office closing the door gently behind her.

"Lucius, is it necessary to dismiss her?" He walked towards Hermione and held his arms out to embrace her. She walked into his strong arms and squeezed him tightly, he kissed the top of her head before they both looked into each others eyes and kissed firmly. "I'm sorry sweetheart. And to answer your question, yes it is necessary if it upsets you and you look at me the way you did when you came in" he kissed her again. "I don't like it when you are upset and I especially don't like it when you are upset with me sweetheart". She smiled at him, "Lucius my love, I am not upset with you, just the situation. I certainly didn't want her to cry or get such a tongue lashing" He just smirked. "Sweetheart, I am pretty sure she will not make this mistake again..." she smiled at him and gave him a kiss "here are the documents you asked for. I need to get back and on my way out I'll talk to Miss Porterville" He sighed and took the documents. "Fine, but should it happen again, she's gone." Hermione smiled at him, patted his bottom and walked towards the door "I love you Baby" he grinned as he walked back around to his desk. "Ahh, you are trying to sweet talk me. Umm I love you too. I'll see you later on tonight"

Hermione left Lucius's office closing the door gently. "Miss Porterville I appreciate your apology. I have spoken with my husband and you may stay in this position." Miss Porterville smiled, "Thank you Mrs. Malfoy" her eyes red from crying. "I think this was just an unfortunate situation. I could have and should have given my name. I apologize for not doing so. Also, perhaps it would be prudent for you to ask peoples names as they enter the office. " Miss Porterville nodded. "As you can see Mr. Malfoy can have a bit of a temper but just come do your job and he'll be fine. With that he said should it happen again he will send you back to your department. Alright then have a good rest of your day Miss Porterville." Hermione smiled and walked from the office.
