A Mission... Outside Of Yokohama?
It was late at night in Yokohama, Japan and a small, 11 year old Dazai, Osamu sat silently on his bed in his small bedroom, in a nice, large house near the outskirts of the city he lives in. Infront of Dazai stood a tall man named Mori who was wrapping bandages around the small boys right eye, which is the only part of Dazai's body that the boy can't wrap without a mirror (Which he isn't aloud to have in his small bedroom).
Dazai was small for his age, with dull, lifeless eyes, the left eye being redish-brown while the right eye is completely white with no iris or pupil which caused him to be blind in that eye. Dazai's hair is brown and it's curly and messy, his legs, arms, hands, torso, and neck are also wrapped in bandages for an unknown (to all except Mori, Dazai and Dazai's siblings) reason.
Meanwhile, Mori was tall with shoulder length, black hair and dark purple eyes. He wore a doctors coat that he almost never took off unless he's showering or sleeping.
Dazai picks at the small amount of skin exposed on the palm of his left hand while Mori wraps his right eye, picking his skin was a habit that Mori despised but Dazai unfortunately couldn't control.
"There," Mori states as he finishes wrapping Dazai's right eye. He frowns slightly when the small boy doesn't respond and his frown deepens as he realizes Dazai is picking at his skin, again.
"Stop that." Mori orders as he gives a harsh slap to Dazai's left arm, making the boy flinch as he quickly retracts his left arm and holds it to his chest in a protective manner.
"We can't have you doing that when our... special... guests arrive tomorrow, now can we?" Mori asks coldly. Dazai shakes his head frantically to show that he won't do it again which makes a satisfied smile appear on the tall man's face.
You see, when Dazai was only 8, he had witnessed his abusive father stab his mother to death which led to his father being sent to jail and Dazai being 'Taken in' by Mori. But, soon enough, Mori revealed that he was the doctor for a criminal organization that practically runs Yokohama called the Port Mafia. And then, after Mori had revealed himself, he begun to 'train' Dazai. His 'training' was actually just manipulating, physically and emotionally abusing, starving, torturing and using downright awful teaching methods on the poor boy. Then, last year at the young age of 10, Dazai had been officially recruited into the Port Mafia after being the witness to Mori murdering the boss, taking his place and saying that the boss had died of natural causes with Dazai as the witness to that fact.
All in all, Mori's 'training' had turned Dazai into the traumatized, quiet, obeying and practically emotionless child he was today. He didn't speak unless spoken to, he followed almost all orders without hesitation and rarely showed any sign of emotion unless with 3 specific people or when he's faking it. Mori took great pride in how Dazai turned out and now he was sending the boy on his first mission outside of Yokohama.
Just then, Dazai's bedroom door was opened by Dazai's 'Siblings' Elise, Kyouka and Yumeno (Q). Kyouka and Yumeno are two other victims of Mori's 'Training' while Elise is Mori's daughter. Yokohama is home to special powers called Ability's, Dazai, Kyouka, Elise and Q all have ability's, Dazai's is called 'No Longer Human', it nullifies the ability of whoever he makes physical contact with. As long as his skin touches the person, their ability will be nullified until the physical contact is broken. Kyouka's ability is called 'Demon Snow', it's basically a large female phantom with a sword that can cut through almost everything (including humans) that pretty much has a mind of it's own. Elise's ability is called 'Gravity Begone', it allows her to fly. Finally, Yumeno's ability is called 'Dogra Magra' and it's a mental ability that makes the victim have hallucinations until Dogra Magra is de-activated.
Mori turns to Elise, who is most definitely Mori's favorite between his four 'children' and who is also leading the trio.
"What is it Elise-Chan?" Mori asks calmly while crouching down to the small girls level.
" 'Kyou and 'Meno wanted to see 'Samu before they leave for Ane-San's estate since he'll be gone when they come back next week." Elise explains while gesturing to other two girls and Dazai as she talks.
Mori thinks for a moment before sighing, nodding and leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
For a moment it's silent and the four kids look at each other awkwardly and then Yumeno, the youngest, suddenly bursts into tears and clings onto Dazai's right leg, which is hanging off the side of his bed.
Yumeno is 5 years old, being 'taken in' by Mori shortly after birth when her parents died in a car crash while driving home from the hospital. She has half dark brown and half white hair with yellow eyes, one iris is in the shape of a star and the other is a normal circle. Yumeno also has bandages wrapped around her arms and she always carries around this creepy doll that Mori believes had appeared when she was born, making it conected to her ability.
Dazai is only kind to three people in his life, those 'mysterious' three people are Elise, Kyouka and Yumeno.
Dazai gently picks Yumeno up and places her on his lap where she wraps her arms around his neck and buries her head in his left shoulder. Then, Kyouka begins to tear up as she climbs onto the bed and buries her head in Dazai's right shoulder while hugging her rabbit plushie tightly to her chest.
Kyouka is also 5, she was 'taken in' last year when her parents (who were high ranking assassins for the Port Mafia) had been murdered in front of her. She has black hair that's pulled into two low ponytails and she has dark blue eyes. Kyouka almost always carries a soft, white rabbit plushie with her because according to her, it had been a gift from her parents shortly before they died.
Dazai gently pats Yumeno and Kyouka’s heads while Elise climbs onto the bed and leans against his left side.
Elise is 9, she is quite small for her age and she’s Mori’s biological child. She has long, curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she also always wears a red bow in her hair that had been a gift from her mother before she died.
”Please don’t go…” Kyouka mumbles into Dazai’s shoulder.
”Sorry ‘Kyou but I have to, Mori’s orders.” He says as Kyouka pulls away from his shoulder and leans against his right side.
”We gonna miss you ‘Samu…” Yumeno whines as she also pulls away from Dazai’s shoulder and looks up at Dazai.
”I know, I’m gonna miss you guys too.” Dazai says softly as he wipes the tears off of Yumeno’s face. Dazai gently wraps his arms around Elise and Kyouka in a side hug while Yumeno turns around and leans her back against his chest to which he wastes no time in resting his chin on top of Yumeno’s head.
”Will you at least come visit us over the holidays? Mori always goes out of town for meetings which means we're all alone and we can’t take care of ourselves without your help.” Elise says as she turns her head to look at Dazai’s face.
”I’m not sure if I’ll be able to ‘Lise but I promise I will if I can.” Dazai responds calmly.
The three girls nod and they sit silently for a bit before the girls climb off the bed, deciding it would be best to leave before Mori gets impatient.
After the girls exit Mori enters the room once again, grabs the leftover bandages and leaves. Judging by the click shortly after the door is closed it’s safe to assume that Dazai has been locked in his own room, again.
