Being Harri
She wore it like a cape, the lines of blue, pink, and white fluttering around her like a cloak. She thought for a moment it would be grand to make a cloak out of these colors, the Wizarding World would love them.
Beside her, Luna squeezed her hand, decked much the same way in support of her long-time friend. She couldn’t ask for a better friend than Luna who saw beyond the veil of her former self and accepted her for who she was. It was grand and she was happy to finally be out and proud among such a large group of people.
London Pride was amazing, there were people from all walks of life streaming around booths of goodies and food, even a small parade had been started by some of the more flamboyantly dress. They certainly would give most Wizard a run for their money in color. It was perfect and she finally felt free to express who she really was.
“Oh look,” Luna said drawing her attention to a flyer taped to a lamp post. “A Drag Show, I’ve aways wanted to see one. Don’t they look lovely? We should go!”
“Yes,” She readily agreed. “Anything for you Luna.”
Luna beamed at her, leaning in to give her a kiss on the cheek. It was as far as they had gotten so far, everything was so new between them she didn’t want to spoil it in anyway. The way Luna looked at her… well she could do anything, be anyone with Luna there by her side. And she chose to finally be herself.
“Come on Harri.” Luna tugged on her hand to get her moving again. “We don’t want to miss the show.”
“Coming Luna.” Harri Potter said, smiling to herself and laughed.
