December 12 and 15, 1981
Regulus and Lily dropped their utensils, staring at Kreacher
“Kreacher?” Regulus whispered, “How-how do you know how to?”
Kreacher slouched his shoulders and stared at his feet,
“Before Kreacher was a house elf for the Master Black family, Kreacher was a house elf for the Master Riddle family. When young Master Riddle showed up to the home and murdered Kreacher's masters, Kreacher helped the last heir. When young Master Riddle started looking for his horcruxes he asked Kreacher to help him make one. Kreacher didn't want to, but his Master asked him so he did. Because Kreacher helped with the birth of the horcrux, a piece of young Master Riddle was put into him. Not like a horcrux but more like a memory.”
Lily put her hand on her chest and looked at Regulus, who was staring wide-eyed at Kreacher
“You will be quite a big help to us, thank you, Kreacher.”
Kreacher nodded pleasantly and folded his hands behind his back
“S-so we have Kreacher to get us into the chamber, but how the hell will we get into Hogwarts? There is almost no possible way for us to.” Lily asked.
Regulus looked at her and shook his head, “no, that is enough for tonight. I think I’ll go find some place to sleep. Maybe rent out a flat or something.”
Regulus got to his feet, followed by Lily.
“B-but you came here ready to storm Hogwarts and now you wont even tell me the fucking plan?!” Lily roared, stomping over the Regulus’ side of the table. Regulus put his hands on Lily’s shoulders and sighed.
“Lily,” Regulus assured, “I promise you we will be in touch and I will tell you the plan in the next few days, but i assume my brother will be home any day now, and we don't quite get along so I think I will find a place to stay where we can meet up and plan. For now, wait patiently and try and maybe come up with ways to get into Hogwarts, so we have extra plans. Thank you for agreeing to help me, and I will try and talk tomorrow or the next.”
Lily looked into Regulus’ eyes and then looked down, stepping backwards, away from Regulus so he could exit the flat.
“Thank you, I will try and send you a letter or something.”
Lily nodded
“Kreacher, please find me a place to stay?”
Kreacher left, and Lily walked down the hall into the living room to get Regulus his coat. Lily handed Regulus the coat and followed Lily to the door
“I promise I will write to you as soon as I find a place to stay.” Regulus said to Lily, putting his coat on.
Lily waved goodbye to him as he walked down the walkway and disappeared into the night. Closing the door behind her, Lily slid to the floor and tucked her knees to her chest, silently crying.

(2 days later)
“Lily?” A voice called out into the dark flat, “Lily are you awake?” The voice slowly got closer to the half-open door of Lily's bedroom and opened it, turning the lights on.
“Oh, c’mon turn the lights off!” Lily grumbled, smashing a pillow over her face
“Aw Lils, didn't you miss me?” Sirius called out to the redhead, who sat up in bed and smiled
“Oh, of course I did, Sirius!” Lily laughed happily as the dark haired man walked over to her and hugged her.
“Well, what did Mad-Eye have you doing?” Lily asked
Sirius spun a ring around his finger and bit his lip, looking up at Lily
“Sorry, Lils, ‘m not supposed to tell anyone, even you. But, I can tell you that the Order really needs you to come to at least one meeting a week.”
Lily rolled her eyes and sighed, “Maybe if they get interesting I will, but for now I’d really rather not. Now, do you want me to get out of bed now, or let me sleep another few hours until the sun comes up and we can go get breakfast?”
Sirius laughed and stood up, walking out the door, “I really missed ya, Lily.”
Lily laughed, “I missed ya too, Padfoot.”
Sirius turned off the lights and walked back over to Lily's bed, crawling into it
“Mind if I stay here for the night? Remus is still away and it gets pretty empty there by m’self.”
Lily smiled and scooched up close to Sriuis and nestled herself into the crook of his arm, falling asleep. Sirius kissed the top of Lily’s head before falling asleep himself.

(Once the sun rose)
Lily shook awake, covered in sweat and still hearing the cold, shriek of a laugh and seeing the flash of green, before she woke up.
Sirius was nowhere to be seen, but Lily could smell something wonderful coming from the kitchen, so she changed into a new shirt and walked down the hall in shorts and an oversized Queen T-shirt.
“Morning!” Sang Sirius cheerfully, cooking up eggs and toast.
“Morning,” Lily smiled, walking into the kitchen and sitting down at the table, where Sirius had a cup of coffee for her.
“Figured you would’ve killed me if I woke you when I woke up, so I decided to make breakfast!”
Lily chuckled as she sipped on her coffee, pushing a lock of her fire-red hair behind her ear, “Yes, I really would have so thank you.”
Sirius turned around and put eggs onto Lily's plate, glancing at the shirt she was wearing,
“Y’know, if you keep stealing my shirts I'm going to have to start stealing your makeup and jewelry. My eyeliners are running pretty low and yours seems to be doing just fine.”
Lily laughed, “You can use my eyeliner and jewelry, Sirius.”
Sirius smiled and nodded, sitting down in front of Lily to eat breakfast. Lily had almost finished her eggs when the mail slot opened and two letters came falling in. Lily stood up and walked over to the door, kneeling to pick up the mail. One letter read,
Padfoot and Lils
Our flat
London
Which was from Remus. The other read,
Lily Evans
London
Which was written in cursive so neat and beautiful, Lily had to hide it from Sirius. Merlin knows what he would have said if he saw Lily had a letter from his brother.
“What's muggle mail like?” Sirius asked, mouth full of food and his back turned to Lily. She shoved her letter into her bra and handed Sirius the letter from Remus.
“Just this one from Remus. He’ll probably have to stay a few more days or so.”
Sirius set the letter aside and continued to eat
“I'm going to my room to get ready, then could we go to Diagon Alley? I want to get new robes and maybe a new record?”
Sirius nodded and shooed her off. Lily walked down the hallway into her room and closed the door, opening her letter fast. But when she opened it, it was written hastily, and there were splotches of red something that Lily knew wasn't ink.
It was blood.
