We met a new friend

They spend some time informing their friends about the quest, naturally most of them were wary of a quest so soon after the war, but as they went on the details about the quest, their friends seemed to calm down a little.

The news about the existence of the wizarding world was met with mixed reaction. Annabeth said that she would help Chiron find more information about the wizards. Reyna was worried about potential conflict the camps might have with the magic society. Hazel was curious about a magic school as well. Overall, demigod lives were so messy that suddenly learning about another world hidden from was quite easy to accept.

After saying their goodbye, all three of them looked at each other for a moment.
“So, you guys are ready for this?” Jason said while checking his sword, the imperial gold shone brightly under the light.

“I guess so. Not sure how much I would like the 90s though. Do you think they had pizza in the UK during the 90s?”

“I can just shadow travel us so we can get pizza if you want.”

“You would do that? For me? Oh Nico, I love you so much.”

“Yeah, whatever, I will use my power to get happy meals anyway.” Nico was blushing, even after dating Percy for this long, he was still not used to how affectionate the son of Poseidon was.

“Are you finished looking at your sword, dude? I am starting to get jealous.”

“I’m just checking, the last spar I had was pretty intense, it seemed fine though.”

“You know Nico and I won’t judge you if you had a thing for your sword right? Considering the whole stapler incident, we understand if you had a thing for sharp objects.”

“That was only one time, and I was two years old.”
While Percy and Jason were bickering, all three of them walked toward the throne room to meet Hecate again.

When they returned to the throne room, it was mostly empty, except the goddess standing in the middle of the room.

“I presume you three have finished saying goodbye with your family?”

Jason walked to the goddess and answered her. “Yes lady Hecate, we are ready for this quest.”

“Very well, now if you are ready, close your eyes and I will send you to your destination. My son will be there when you arrive, he will explain everything to you and teach you about the magic world. I hope you three will enjoy your stay in my world.”

Time travel magic was surprisingly…anticlimactic. Percy was expecting something like loud noise or a bright flash of light, or a magical portal that radiates magic and colors. Gods were dramatic like that after all. Instead, all that happened was that they closed their eyes, and felt something gently brushed over their skin like a breeze, the next thing they knew, they were there.

When they opened their eyes, they were no longer in the throne room, instead they were in a mostly empty room. The floor under them was wooden, and the room had nothing except a few empty bookshelves at their left hand side. It was then they realized that they are now a little shorter. Hecate’s deage spell must have worked, then.

There was a man standing in front of them, he was tall, with black hair and black eyes, he looked like he was around his twenties. He wore a black hoodie with an image of a purple torch on it, brown pants and black shoes, and a black glasses. On one of his arms was some sort of wristband. The most noticeable part of him though, was the air around him. Percy had seen a lot of children of Hecate in camp, but none of them were like the one in front of them. The man has a weird aura, it’s magical like other children of Hecate, but also very different.

Upon seeing them, the man gave them a small smile. “Hello, glad you three had a safe trip. I am Alex Blackwell, son of Hecate and the ambassador of Hecate in the wizarding world.” The man, Alex, gave them a small nod, and gestured them toward the door. “I assume that my mother had filled you in on the purpose of this quest. Now, follow me, I will answer all your questions about the wizards once we sit down.”

Alex led them out of the empty room to what Percy presumed to be a living room, there’s three couches all facing the fireplace. The wall was decorated with shields and all sorts of weapons. There's a wooden table in front of the couches. They sat down on the same couch, while Alex was still standing.

“Do you guys need anything to drink? Water? Tea?” He aksed.

“Do you have coffee? I was dragged from my sleep before they offered us a quest.” Nico yawned, usually he would sleep a day off once a week, since the duty he needed to deal with usually took him all around the world.

“Sure, coffee it is.” Alex said, as he pulled out a stick? from his wristband thingy. Then, he waved the stick, as soon as he did it, sounds of clinking could be heard from the other room. After that, a teacup simply floated through the room and landed on the table, just in front of the son of Hades.

Nico could only stare at the teacup in wonder. Percy and Jason, on the other hand, were looking at what Alex was holding.
“Is that a magic wand?” Percy asked, excited, sure he had seen a child of Hrcate perform magic before, but this was different!.

“Yes, wizards need wands to use magic, wandless magic is very difficult to learn for them. Perform magic without a spell was even more difficult, though not that difficult for us demigods.” Alex said while taking a seat on another couch and facing them.

“Now, you must have a lot of questions, I promise I will try my best to answer them, although I must warn you that I only know about some of the future events because my mother put those information in my brain through my dream.”

Jason was the first to ask. “You introduce yourself as an ambassador of Hecate, is that an official title like ours?”

“No, my mother doesn’t have the authority to grant someone godhood, although she will stop my body from aging. This is simply a position for the children of Hecate, those who are interested are offered a chance to live in the wizarding world and try to use their talent to make it a better place. As long as we follow our mother's rules she will give us her blessing and stop us from aging. That’s why my mother decided to transfer future memories to me, because I will most likely live to that point in time, and I don’t really get involved in the mythological world. ”

“So it’s kind of like how I was back at camp Jupiter.” Nico said, having already taken a sip of the coffee, it was good stuff.

“Yes, I would say our situations are kind of similar.” Alex leaned back to the couch, his body relaxed, after all he had all the memories about the three demigods from his own future, and he trusted his own judgment.

“So this prophecy child, we will need to attend the same magic school as him, right?” Percy asked, one of his hands was in his pocket, playing with riptide's pen form, a habit he picked up ever since the war with Gaea ended.

“Yep, his name is Harry Potter, he will be a fourth year student this september. You will be in the same year as him, which means we will have about five months to prepare you for Hogwart.”

Percy let out a surprised laugh upon hearing that name. Jason had to pretend to cough to mask his laugh. Nico just stared at Alex with wide eyes.
With some effort, Percy managed to pull himself together. “I’m-I’m sorry, but what did you say the school’s name was?”

“Hogwarts, yes, I know the name was weird, but there’s actually a reason why it was named this way, I may tell you about it later.”
Alex was amused, he remembered his reaction when he heard the name for the first time, his reaction was not that better than the three demigods in front of him. “You should probably get used to it though, wizards had really weird taste when it comes to just about everything.”

“Seriously, they really named a magic school Hogwarts?” Jason was trying to understand why in Hades would someone named a school that.

“They are just weird like that, wizarding society is just weird in general.” Alex shrugged, he honestly had given up trying to understand how wizards’ minds worked.

“Ok, so we will have to go to a magic school, and you were to teach us about magic, right?” Jason tried to bring the conversation back on track.

“Yes, you will be attending Hogwarts as fourth year students who were transferred from America. The official cover story is that you three were home school, so people won’t question you about the american wizarding school. You will need to catch up with at least three years of magic lessons, but do not worry, there’s some special equipment I made that can help you with learning. ”
“First, we will need to go and buy some supplies, after that we will go to the house we will be staying in for the next five months. Once we arrive I will show you the lesson schedule I came up with, and then we can start your lesson. ”

Percy stopped him before he could continue. “Wait, we are not staying here?”

“No, we will be staying at a house near where Harry lives, I believe it will be the best if you three can meet Harry during his summer break. Harry’s relatives…let’s just say they don’t accept anything that’s not ‘normal’ to them, which makes his summer break pretty difficult. This also can also give you guys a chance to see what Harry is like in person.” All three of them frown, it sounded like even in the wizarding world, a prophecy child’s life was still not easy.

“Anyway, I think we should really go buy supplies first, I already ordered most of the stuff we need, so we just need to pick them up. There’s some shops we can check, it will also give me a chance to show you all the magic shops, and let you see for yourself what wizards are like. ” Alex checked the clock on the wall, it’s about 10 a.m. Most shops at Diagon Alley should be opened already. “I should go change then, can’t go shopping wearing these.”.

Percy looked at him, bemused. “What? What’s wrong with your clothes?”

“Wizards’ fashion is very…how do I put it, ancient, modern clothes aren’t really common for them.’”

“Then what about us? Don’t we need to change our clothes to fit in?”

“Yes, but I didn’t prepare any clothes for you since I don’t know your sizes. We will buy clothes for you guys during this trip, both wizard and normal clothes. Don’t worry about going shopping with those clothes though, I will put a charm on you so no one will really notice you are not wearing standard wizard clothes.” Alex got up from the couch. “You three just stayed here while I changed my clothes, I will be right back.”
