Forbidden to *leave the woods*- forbidden to go to the surface *OUT OF the woods*... The Wood Sprite Turchina's youngest son Pinocchio is sick and tired of this- *HURT by it*, even! He's fifteen years old- he's not a child anymore; he can take care of himself, pretty much! And, YES- he *well knows* that it was *HUMANS* that killed Father and Zia Tenebra...but that doesn't mean that *ALL OF them* are bad!!One night, he finally does it- and in the process finds *so much more* than he could have *EVER* dreamed of: love both platonic and romantic, danger, near-death of a loved one, -even acceptance...

Ever since reading the 2022 Disney novelization of 'Pinocchio' which had a deleted scene of Geppetto being scared and overprotective of Pinocchio's going out into the world as a result of tragically losing his family, *THIS Black Plot Bunny* has been repeatedly thumping at my temple- okay, Thumper! You can *STOP* thumping now- I've FINALLY able to write the first chapter out!! ('Bout time.)Further inspiration came from *FINALLY seeing* 'The Little Mermaid' which I absolutely LOVE as much as the 89!animated original, plus naivesilver's writing about Lampwick's apparently loving the sea. Yes, I know that someone has written this out before ...but Lampwick fits better as Eric and Pinocchio Ariel, in my own personal opinion. *No offense to you whatsoever*, badboyLampwick; you're still a fantastic writer and artist!Yes, this *WILL be a musical*- c'mon!
