History Of Magic
After the hour they spent trying to prove their innocence the three returned to their dorms and they days following all anyone could talk about was the attack on the red eyed cat, one of the Weasleys the female was distraught at the mention of Mrs. Norris. It was during History of Magic when Draco was barely paying attention, Harry was drawing while hating that class and Luna was knitting when Granger asked. "Can you tell us about the Chamber of Secrets?"
Everyone looked up. "This is History I teach facts not fiction." Said the ghost.
"Sir?" Harry asked. "Don't all myths have some facts in them?" He asked with a smirk knowing he was right.
"Well, yes one could say that." Said Binns. "However this tale is ludicrous. As you know Hogwarts was founded by four people. Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin, for many years they all worked in harmony until Salazar Slytherin wanted to be more selective to the students whom would attend. And after an argument with Godric he left sealing the Chamber he had made."
No one moved waiting for Binns to go on. "According to legend only Slytherins true heir could open it and control the horror within."
Granger raised her hand again. "What do you mean the horror within?" She asked.
Binns sighed. "The chamber is said to be the home of a monster."
Everyone looked worried now. "But there is no monster and no chamber." Said Binns
A Gryffindor spoke up. "But if only a Slytherin can find it how would we know those snakes aren't forthcoming?" He asked glaring at the Slytherins.
"Nonsense now back to class." Snapped the ghost.
While the students poured out of the History of Magic class the two blondes and one red head walked talking in hushed voices. "The monster has to be real, she must be the voice I've been hearing she's a snake." Harry said.
"We aren't going to have a normal school year are we?" Asked Draco.
"Nope." Luna said grabbing the boys' hands. "I think I know who can help."
