First Saturday Post Classes Pt. 2
It took exactly three minutes for the centaurs to find the boys, and they were not pleased.
“What are you human foals doing in our woods?” A tall blonde centaur asked, four other centaurs behind him(?). All of their bows were drawn, though lowered.
“Looking for fun.” Severus immediately answered, grabbing the back-neck of Lucius’s shirt so he couldn’t turn around and run.
“This is not the land of humans, this is not a place for magic fun. This is the land of centaurs and beasts, the land of plants and wild. Leave now and we will be lenient as you are mere foals, stay and we will have to punish you.”
“Punish me how? Shoot me? Where? Through the heart? Or brain?”
The centaur reared back, nearly dropping their bow in shock. “We do not kill foals, we do not kill first offenders, we try not to kill at all.”
“Then punish me how?” Severus seemed annoyed if anything.
“We will bring you to your human sire and allow him to decide what happens.”
“Sorry, bestie, but my father is dead.”
“I do not mean your sire, I mean the school’s.”
“Kettlebell-Window?”
“I—who?”
“I believe he means Headmaster Dumbledore.” Lucius sighed, pulling his shirt out of Severus’s grip and grabbing the smaller’s hand. “Come on, Severus, it’s not right to invade their land.”
“What makes it their land?” Severus asked, before suddenly curling up his nose. “Oh, God, I sound like a colonizer! No, gross, ew. Okay, we’re leaving.”
Severus didn’t talk again, or let Lucius, until they were safely through the castle’s front doors.
“Ugh, now what is there left to do that’s fun?” Severus complained, before walking off before Lucius could respond, leaving the blonde to jog to keep up.
“Are you Remus?” Severus asked the tall, brown-haired boy with a lot of facial scars and clothes that covered his whole body.
“I—uh, yeah. How did you know that?”
“You look like a Remus.”
“If you say so….You’re Severus Snape, right? That new kid.”
“Yeah. We have eight classes together.”
“I know.” Remus closed his book and set it to the side. “Do you need something?”
“What’s to do around here that’s fun?”
“Well, I like to read, so there’s the library—”
“Ugh! Why are the first three people I meet and try to befriend library-obsessed!”
“I don’t know….Maybe it’s a sign?”
“I’m going back to bed.” Severus grumbled, before stalking back towards the Slytherin dorms.
“What was that about?” Remus asked Lucius who looked like he was trying to decide if going after Severus was worth it.
“He’s just…grumpy.”
