Chapter 1
Harry had finally gotten his dream job: a programmer at Pure Chocolates. Nervously, he checked himself in the side mirror of his car before getting out and heading into the building.
There was one person in the lobby - a ginger man who was just a little bit shorter than Harry but easily 50 pounds heavier. His ass and belly both strained against his clothes. The man was also quite pretty.
Hearing the door, the man turned around and spotted Harry and immediately grinned.
"You must be Harry! I'm Ron, the other non-remote programmer." Ron eagerly shakes Harry's hand.
"Happy to be here! And nice to meet you." Harry replies, praying that his hand's not sweating too much and thanking the universe for not stammering.
Ron grins and turns around, not dropping Harry's hand as he eagerly leads him down the short hall and outside a door - presumably their destination.
"Trust me, mate, you're gonna love it here." The redhead exclaims. "Since it's just us, our room is HUGE - honestly, I'm not sure why they hired so many remote programmers but still gave us a room this big, but I'm not complaining. They even put in some couches and stuff. Plus they bring doughnuts in, we don't even have to go to the breakroom!"
Harry smiles at Ron's enthusiasm - a bit overwhelming, but cute, and at least it means Harry doesn't have to talk as much.
Ron eagerly opens the door and Harry blinks - Ron wasn't kidding, the room could easily fit a full company in, and was very big for just two employees.
He grins at Harry's expression.
"Come on!" Ron exclaims, pulling Harry further into the room, still holding his hand.
The ginger leads Harry to a giant squishy couch that sits across from a flatscreen TV. In-between is a coffee table with two boxes of doughnuts - one is half empty while the other is completely full. Judging from the chocolate on the corner of Ron's lip, they had both been full at the beginning of the day.
"Since it's your first day," Ron says, still grinning, "the boss said we can take an extra day of PTO - bonding and getting you used to being around here or something like that. He'll probably want to meet you, but other than that we can just hang out and I'll start showing you the ropes tomorrow. It helps that there are so many remote workers."
Ron gestures for Harry to sit down - which he promptly does. The couch is somehow twice as comfortable as it looks. Ron sits down next to him and turns the TV on - The Great British Bake Off pops on.
Ron grabs a doughnut in each hand, passing one to Harry which he reluctantly takes before eagerly starting on the other one.
Harry happily eats his doughnut - ignoring that he already had a large breakfast. He doesn't have doughnuts often so he may as well enjoy the opportunity. When Ron hands him a second, Harry polishes that one off as well. Ron hands him a third, and Harry slowly works his way through it, breath laboured - honestly, he could have done without any doughnuts, let alone three, but Harry has never been able to resist sweets.
When Ron tries to hand him a fourth doughnut, Harry knows he's already reached his limit.
"Thanks, but I'm done." He says, rubbing his bloated stomach.
"Oh, no problem!" Ron exclaims, but... Harry can't help but feel that he looks strangely disappointed in Harry's response.
Ron starts eating the remaining doughnuts a lot faster after that - Harry's surprised that the man ate 23 doughnuts, but doesn't question it.
Ron seems sweet, excitable but not too noisy, and seems to genuinely want to learn about Harry. The next few hours pass quickly, and Harry's looking forward to working here.
