Prologue
All of Hogwarts was asleep. Well almost. A group of four Gryffindors were planning their next prank, happily laughing about their ideas. A group of five people were sitting in the
Slytherin common room gossiping about the tales they heard from conversations. One was a Gryffindor, one was a Ravenclaw and the others three were in Slytherin. It was their daily activity- well more like nightly. Once the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw went to their dorms one of the Slytherins made their way up to the Astronomy Tower to think. To gaze at the stars that splattered the sky like freckles. The constellations always gave him comfort. Something he never had at his house, with his family. He soaked in the beauty of each pattern and detail. A masterpiece created by the land of the unknown. He looked for his favourite star, Sirius. It always shone brighter every night.
Back in the Gryffindor common room, three of the friends were asleep in their dorms but one was left. He grabbed a map from the table nearby. It could show everyone, everywhere, all the time. He stared at the map looking for a specific name. His mark was in the Astronomy
Tower as always. The boy grabbed the invisibility cloak next to him and snuck out of the common rooms. He had to make sure that nobody could hear his footsteps or else he would be sent to detention, not that he cared of course but it would ruin the effect. He checked the map this checking that his friends were still sleeping. He knew how they would react to him going somewhere without them. He just wanted to see the person that he loved most, not that the person knew. He was not the person to reciprocate any kind of feeling, whether its love or just plain happiness. There was no way that he would be able to love him.
The Gryffindor knew that tonight was different as the boy in the Astronomy Tower was pacing around in a circle. It was strange as the boy normally stood by the rail looking at the stars or sat on the floor taking notes or reading. Oh how he missed the charm of that boy. That charm that could make anyone within a 5 mile radius of him swoon. The way that he held himself around those he cared about. Comfortable and relaxed. It made his day just slightly brighter every time. The best thing about him though was his knowledge of the stars and constellations. Knew every detail and story about each and every one. It was the thing that always got him smiling. That adorable little smile.
It was a common fact that everyone knew the eldest Black brother. He was famous and good-looking. He could make everyone fall in love with him with just one wink. But people often found the younger Black intriguing as well. The silent mannerisms was something that they always loved. People always complimented him on how smart he was or his ability to make potions as well as he did. Though he didn't care. He just shrugged off every compliment or word of praise he got from them. He simply didn't want to talk to anyone. He had better things to do. He had other people that he loved and cared about he did not need more. He had his friends and was never known for branching out. He always stuck to the things that he knew, the friends he first met on the train, the subjects that he enjoyed when he was younger and his taste in the people he chose. He stuck to the things he knew as he was too afraid that they could all slip away if he didn't know who to treat them.
But people never really noticed or cared about that. They were all to focused on him and looks. His charm that could fool everyone around him but one person. The boy coming up to see him in the Astronomy Tower. His favourite place to watch the stars.
