CHAPTER 2
Â
I sat in Charms as the McGonagall droned on. I wasnât paying any attention because I was thinking about me and Harryâs exchange from the morning. Our hands touched! Did he notice? Did he get the same feeling as me? Did he even like me? I was pulled out of my thoughts when McGonagall said
Â
âMiss. L/N, can you tell me what spell will cause that teapot in front of you and Ms. Granger to tap dance?â A few snickers echoed in the room.
Â
My face grew hot and I cleared my throat. âUhm,â my mind went in overtime. Hermiones hand shot up when she knew I didnât know the answer. McGonagall ignored her and raised an eyebrow. âProfessor I believe the incantation is Exultant Lisibus.â
Â
McGonagall smiled and said, âno Y/N, the answer is not that, and you would know we were learning about rats in top hats if you were actually paying attention.â The class broke out laughing and I asked to go to the bathroom. I left the room and broke out in tears. I ran to the room of requirement and layed on the floor sobbing.
Â
I cried for so long I almost couldnât breathe. How could I let myself be so embarassed!? How? HOW?!?!? I picked up a metal vase and smashed it. I bent it in half and roared with anger. I wiped my tears then my ears perked up as i heard a sound. It was sniffling. I walked over to the other side. It was blocked by various objects and I saw a figure in the floor. They had white blond hair and I realized it was Draco Malfoy.
Â
I tried to stealthily back away, but I backed into some brooms which fell over with a lounge bang. I silently cursed my bumbling idiocracy. Draco stood and wiped his tears
Â
âYOU BITCH! YOUR SPYING ON ME!!!â He stepped closer and so did I
Â
âI swear! I was crying in here too! I didnât mean toâ he looked at his shoes, embarrassed and said he offered to walk me out.
Â
âI thought you said I was mudblood trashâ I said with a smirk.
Â
âWell, my father said I should be a gentleman, and I never thought that another you. Y/N.â He stopped, suddenly serious and looked me in my eyes, âY/N I-I-i, I think youâre special. Unique, even. Youâre not like Pansy and youâre not like the other girls.â
Â
My eyes grew wide. I could feel my face getting hot and my heart burning. No- not like how it does when Iâm around Harry. I could never feel that way about a Slytherin. I was angry he was lying to me.
Â
âDraco- you d-d-donât mean thatâ the words didnât come out as harsh as I intended them to, instead they were sad and tender.
Â
He tilted my chin up so I was looking him dead in his blue orbs, âyes Y/N, yes I doâŠâ he said breathlessly
Â
Then our lips smashed together and he pushed me up against the wall. His lips were harsh and rough, we stayed like that for what seemed like forever, but in this case forever sounds fine. Our tongues battled for dominance, his eventually winning and then he pulled away and ran off down the hall.
