Potter,
I'm unsure how to start this letter. Father always taught me to outline my reasoning for writing in the first line. Unfortunately, I don't understand why I am writing this letter at all and I especially don't know why I am writing it to you.
I suppose it just feels right.
Mother had different advice on writing letters. She said to write what I feel and refine it later. I won't be following her way.
The Aurors said I was allowed a penpal. As stated above, I don't know why you popped into my head as my first thought. I should've chosen mother, seeing as she is free and able to receive my letters. I'm... Grateful you testified for her. That is probably the closest form of thanks you will receive from me.
Even though I don't expect you to ever read this, it is nice to be writing all my thoughts out on parchment on some false pretense of making amends with the Chosen One.
Yes, amends. Surprisingly , I have grown as a person. I still think Weasel is an utter twat though. Granger too. But my opinions on people can be a topic for another letter, if I write one.
