Hello!! Welcome to my self-indulgent hockey fic! I love hockey and am weirdly invested in the inner workings of college sports so here we go.
Here’s just a quick logistical rundown of how these teams work before we get into it lol
- Abby coaches the women’s team and Wymack coaches the men’s but both teams often share ice time.
- Palmetto State plays NCAA hockey in this even though likely irl they would be an ACHA school (ice hockey programs aren’t that big in the south so they usually don’t have varsity teams) because I don’t want to deal with ACHA shenanigans.
- PSU is NOT in the SEC like Nora says it is because geographically it should be in the ACC. I will die on this hill.
- USC’s men’s hockey team is an NCAA team FOR THE SAKE OF THIS FIC!! DON'T COME FOR ME!!!
