"Come on." Remus said pulling Sirius with him towards the buses, Sirius laughed then spoke.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Somewhere we can be alone." Remus said laughing and rounding the corner of the bus.

"We are alone." Sirius said and stopping when Remus stopped, Remus pulled Sirius in front of him.

"Somewhere, where we can be more alone." Remus said looking at Sirius who just laughed, Remus turned and opened the door to the bus.

"Come on." Remus said and pulled Sirius into the bus with him, they walked to the back of the school bus and Remus sat in one of the seats. Sirius smiled then sat in the seat across from him, staring at Remus waiting for him to do something.

Remus got up and stood in front of Sirius, Sirius looked up at him with a smirk. Remus leaned over Sirius who looked him in the eyes then down at his lips, Remus felt a smile pull at his lips and then he leaned down more to kiss Sirius.

Remus pulled back only for Sirius to go in for another kiss, those 2 kisses then turned into a full on makeout session. Remus climbed onto the seat with Sirius and pulled away to kiss his neck, Sirius panted and moved his head so Remus could get a better angle.

Remus grabbed the side of the seat to hold onto something then he felt his claws rip into the seat, he pulled back from Sirius' neck feeling his control slipping away.

"What's wrong?" Sirius panted, Remus turned away and started to lose control.

"Get away." Remus said groaning.

"Remus?"

Remus started to breathe heavily and he completely turned around as he started to change.

"Remus?" Sirius called this time getting up to stand next to Remus.

"Get away from me." Remus said growling then looked at Sirius now completely turned, his fangs, eyes and claws showing. Sirius stepped back horrified, Remus started to move towards him and Sirius kept backing away.

Sirius looked at Remus then darted for the door of the bus, Remus reached down and grabbed Sirius' ankle causing him to tumble to the floor of the bus. Sirius screamed out in pain as he hit the floor, Remus then started dragging him back.

Sirius turned over and kicked Remus in the chest sending him back and causing him to let go, Sirius quickly got up and ran back to the door. He reached the door and tried to pry it open, Remus grabbed one of the seats and yanked it off of the floor. He then threw the unbolted seat causing Sirius so shout and flinch, luckily it didn't hit him.

Sirius continued to pry at the door, once he finally got it open a crack Remus' hand covered his mouth and pulled him away from the door.

"So you killed him?" James asked as he and Remus walked into the school.

"I dont know. I just woke up. And I was sweating like crazy, and I couldn't breathe. I've never had a dream where I woke up like that before." Remus said as they walked down the hallway.

"Really? I have. Usually ends a little differently." James said.

" 'A,' I meant I've never had a dream that felt that real, and 'B,' never give me that much detail about you in bed again." Remus said looking at James.

"Noted. Let me take a guess here."

"No, I know, you think it has something to do with me going out with Sirius tomorrow, like I'm going to lose control and rip his throat out." Remus said.

"No, of course not. Yeah, that's totally it." James said and looked at Remus who looked down as they walked.

"Hey, come on, it's gonna be fine, all right? Personally, I think you're handling this pretty freakin' amazingly. You know, it's not like there's a lycanthropy for beginners class you can take." James said and Remus looked up at him.

"Yeah, not a class, but maybe a teacher." Remus said causing James to stop.

"Who, Derek?" James snapped then Remus shrugged, and James slapped the back of Remus' head.

"Are you forgetting the part where we got him tossed in jail?" James said.

"Yeah, I know, but chasing him, dragging him to the back of the bus, it felt so real." Remus snapped.

"How real?"

"Like it actually happened." Remus said then they opened the doors to the bus drop off and they both froze, when they saw one of the buses full of claw marks and blood.

"I think it did." James said.

"He's probably fine." James said following Remus who was basically sprinting through the halls on his phone.

"He's not answering my texts, James." Remus said looking around panicking.

"It could just be a coincidence, all right? A seriously amazing coincidence." James said trying to reassure him.

"Just help me find him, okay?" Remus said still panicking. "Do you see him?"

"No." James said.

Remus looked around, sprinting around the corner and James lost him in the crowd of students. Remus rounded the corner then stopped and held onto a locker, resting his forehead on it.

Remus' heart beat started speading up, and he growled eyes turning yellow. Remus groaned then punched the locker, caving it in, leaving a dent. Remus calmed down a bit after that then realized what he did, he looked at the locker then around the hallway and no one was looking so he quickly backed away from it.

He backed up around the corner and bumped into someone, knocking there books to the ground. He quickly turned around and felt the weight being lifted off his shoulders when he saw Sirius, Sirius laughed and smiled at him.

"You scared the hell outta me." Sirius said then knelt down to pick up his books, Remus sighed.

"You're okay." Remus said watching Sirius pick up his books, and went down to help him.

"Once my heart starts beating again, yeah." Sirius laughed then looked at Remus who was staring at him with relief, Sirius paused and smiled at Remus. Then they both stood up, Remushanding Siriushis books.

"What?" Sirius asked.

"I'm just happy to see you." Remus said looking at Sirius' grey eyes, Sirius' smile grew.

"Attention, students, this is your principal. I know you're all wondering about the incident that occurred last night to one of our buses. While police work to determine what happened, classes will proceed as scheduled. Thank you." The principal said over the intercom, all of the students groaned and Sirius reached up and ruffled Remus' hair.

"Save me a seat at lunch?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah." Remus said and watched Sirius walk off with a smile, Remus rounded the corner and saw Severus was at his locker. And that locker Remus punched just so happened to be Severus' locker. Severus looked over at him and spoke.

"What are you looking at, asswipe?" Severus said to Remus, who tried to hold back his laugh and walked away.

"Maybe it was my blood on the door." Remus said turning back to look at James, as they were sitting in their biology class.

"Could have been animal blood. You know, maybe you caught a rabbit or something."

"And did what?" Remus asked.

"Ate it."

"Raw?" Remus asked disgusted.

"No, you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven. I don't know, you're the one who can't remember anything." James said.

"Mr. Potter, if that's your idea of a hushed whisper, you might want to pull the headphones out every once in a while." Their teacher said and James scoffed.

"I think you and Mr. Lupin would benefit from a little distance, yes?" The teacher continued.

"No." James said and the teacher pointed at Remus then at another spot in the room, Remus got up and grabbed his things, moving to the other spot.

"Let me know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much."

James scoffed and Remus sat down and felt Severus' eyes on his back, Remus looked down at his note book then the girl next to him jumped up and out of her seat.

"Hey, I think they found something." She said moving over to the window, causing everyone to get up and look. Remus got up too and saw them wheeling someone out on a stretcher to and ambulance.

"That's not a rabbit." Remus said to James, then the guy on the stretcher jumped up and screamed scaring everyone in the class room, Remus backed up.

"This is good, this is good. He got up, he's not dead. Dead guys can't do that." James said coming over to reassure him.

"James.. I did that."

"But dreams aren't memories." James said as Remus and him went to sit and a lunch table.

"Then it wasn't a dream. Something happened last night, and I can't remember what." Remus said sitting down across from James.

"What makes you so sure that Derek even has all the answers?" James asked.

"Because during the full moon he wasn't changed. He was in total control while I was running around in the middle of the night attacking some totally innocent guy."

"You don't know that." James said.

"I don't not know it. I can't go out with Sirius. I have to cancel." Remus said.

"No, you're not canceling, okay? You can't just cancel your entire life. We'll figure it out."James said then Lily set her tray down next to Remus, then sat down next to him.

"Figure what out?" She asked with a smile.

"Ha." James said in shock that she was sitting with them.

"Uh, just, uh, homework." Remus quickly answered her.

"Yeah." James said then leaned forward to ask Remus something.

"Why is she sitting with us?" James asked causing Remus to shrug also shocked, then Danny sat next to James. James looked at him then back at Remus shocked, then Sirius was standing next to Remus. Remus smiled at him then moved his backpack so he could sit.

"Thanks." Sirius said and sat next Remus then Regulus sat on the other side of James. James looked at Regulus then scoffed causing Regulus to roll his eyes and continue reading his book, leaving his food on his tray not even touching it.

"Regulus, eat." Sirius said causing Regulus to sigh and close his book, then going to pick at his food with his fork.

"Get up." Severus said to the guy sitting at the end of the table.

"How come you never ask Danny to get up?" He asked Severus.

"Because I never stare at his girlfriend's coin slot." Danny said making Lily laugh, the guy got up and walked over to the other end of the table. Severus sat down and Remus looked over at him.

"So I hear they're saying it's some type of animal attack. Probably a cougar." Danny said.

"I heard mountain lion." Severus said.

"A cougar is a mountain lion, dumbass." Regulus said causing Severus' eyes to snap towards him, Sirius looked at Regulus warningly and shook his head.

"Who cares? The guy's probably some homeless tweaker who's gonna die anyway." Severus said glaring at Regulus who glared back at him.

"Actually, I just found out who it is. Check it out." James said and turned his phone for everyone to see.

"The sheriff's department won't speculate on details of the incident but confirmed the victim, Garrison Meyers, did survive the attack. Meyers was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition." The video said.

"I know this guy." Remus said causing Sirius to look at him.

"You do?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah when I used to take the bus back when I lived with my dad. He was the driver." Remus said looking up at James who stared at him and sat back in his chair.

"Can we talk about something slightly less depressing, please? Like, oh, where are we going tomorrow night?" Lily asked Sirius, who took a bit of his food and turned to her.

"You said you and Remus were hanging out tomorrow night, right?" Lily asked causing Sirius to look at Remus then to Lily.

"Um, we were thinking of what we were gonna do." Sirius said looking at Remus.

"Well, I'm not sitting at home again watching lacrosse videos, so if the four of us are hanging out, we're doing something fun." Lily said with a smile.

"Hanging out?" Remus asked looking over at Sirius who was looking at him nervously taking a sip of his water, shrugging.

"Like the four of us?" He asked and James rubbed his jaw.

"Do you wanna hang out, like us and them?" Remus asked Sirius.

"Yeah, I guess. Sounds fun." Sirius said.

"You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with this fork." Severus said picking up his fork and Lily snatched it from him.

"How 'bout bowling? You love to bowl." Lily said to Severus, Remus and James made eye contact and Remus' eyes widened, and James shook his head.

"Yeah, with actual competition." Severus said.

"How do you know we're not actual competition?" Sirius asked leaning his elbows on the table, looking at Severus.

"You can bowl, right?" Sirius asked Remus.

"Sort of." Remus said.

"Is it sort of, or yes?" Severus asked moving his tray of food out of the way and leaning on the table.

"Yes. In fact, I'm a great bowler."

"You're a terrible bowler." James said as they were walking down the stairs in the school.

"I know! I'm such an idiot." Remus yelled back.

"God, it was like watching a car wreck. I mean, first it turned into the whole group date thing. And then out of nowhere comes that phrase." James said cringing.

"Hang out." Remus said also cringing.

"You don't hang out with hot people, okay? It's like death. Once it's hanging out, you might as well just be gay best friends." James said.

"How is this happening? I either killed a guy or I didn't." Remus said.

"I don't think Regulus likes me very much." James said ignoring Remus.

"I ask Sirius on a date, and now we're hanging out."

"Am I not attractive to guys?" James asked.

"I make first line, and the team captain wants to destroy me and now-- now I'm gonna be late for work." Remus said looking at his phone then walking away.

"Wait, Remus, you didnt-- am I attractive to guys-- you didn't answer my question." James yelled towards Remus, then sighed.

"I'm sorry. Sorry." Remus said walking into the animal clinic and greeting his boss.

"You're all of two minutes late."

"I just don't want you to think I'm slacking." Remus said.

"Remus, I guarantee you, you're one of the least slacking kids in this town." His boss said setting a box on the table, causing Remus to chuckle.

Remus turned around and saw sheriff Potter on the other side of the door, fleamont opened the door and walked in with a smile. Remus looked down and saw one of the K9s walk in with him, Remus let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Hey, I see somebody's ready to get their stitches out." His boss said to the dog.

"Hey there, Remus. You staying out of trouble?" Fleamont asked taking off his sunglasses and his boss lifted the dog up onto the table.

"Yeah." Remus said quietly.

"Hey, listen, while I'm here, you mind taking a look at those pictures I was telling you about?" Fleamont asked his boss.

"Sacramento still can't determine an animal." Fleamont said handing the pictures over to his boss who opened the envelope and pulled out the pictures.

"I'm not exactly an expert. This is the guy who was attacked in the bus?"

"Yeah. And we found wolf hairs on Laura Hale's body." Fleamont said.

"A wolf?" Remus asked causing both of them to look at him.

"I mean, I think I read somewhere that wolves haven't been in California for, like, 60 years." Remus said.

"True enough, but wolves are highly migratory. They could have wandered in from another state driven by impulse or strong enough memory." His boss said still looking at the photos.

"Wolves have memories?" Remus asked.

"Longer-term memories, yes. If associated with a primal drive. See this one here?" His boss said pointing at one picture.

"Yeah." Fleamont said.

"Those are claw marks. A wolf would have gone for the throat or spinal cord with its teeth."

"So what do you think, it's a mountain lion?" Fleamont asked.

"I don't know. A wolf could chase down its prey, hobbling it by tearing at the ankles." His boss said causing Remus' mind to flash back to his dream with Sirius.

"And then the throat."

"Is my beautiful, talented, and wonderful son actually bringing me dinner?" Hope asked Remus as he walked into the hospital with take-out.

"I thought you wouldn't mind skipping the cafeteria tonight." Remus said with a smile handing the take-out to his mom.

"You are the most thoughtful, loving, most conniving little con artist ever. You are so not getting the car tomorrow night." She said causing Remus' smile to drop from his face.

"Mom."

"What? There's a curfew, no car. But I will take this. Love you." She said walking off with the food.

"Love you too." Remus said and sighed, he went to turn around but paused smelling a scent.

Remus followed the scent to a room and entered it, quickly and quietly shutting the door behind him. Remus pulled back the curtains and saw Mr. Meyers laying in his hospital bed.

"Mr. Meyers." Remus called and he slowly turned to look at him.

"Are you okay?" Remus asked and when Mr. Meyers looked at him he started to panic, monitor beeping. Mr. Meyers grabbed Remus sleeve in a tight grip and started screaming, Remus stared at him in shock and fear.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" His mom came in and yelled at him pushing him away from Mr. Meyers.

"Get out now." She said loudly pointing at the door and trying to calm Mr. Meyers down, Remus said he was sorry and sprinted out of the room.

"It looks pretty deserted, dispatch. Did you want me to take a look inside?" The deputy asked into his radio as he looked up at the Hale house.

"Unit 16, it's county property. Order's are to make sure it's vacant." The man said over the radio.

"I don't--I don't think anyone's home." The deputy said.

"For the love of God, 16, go inside and see if anyone's in there."

"Copy that." The deputy said and walked closer to the house. His K9 barked from the car causing him to jump, he turned around to look at her.

"Don't do that." He said then looked back at the house, walking closer again.

Derek looked out the window at the dog and made his eyes glow- blue, causing the dog to start barking more. The dog started going crazy barking and trying to get out the window of the car, the deputy looked at her then at the house.

"Okay, I'm coming. I'm coming." The deputy said and hurried to his car and drove away, Derek watched as the deputy drove off then he looked out towards the woods and saw Remus walking up to his house.

"I know you can hear me. I need your help." Remus said.

Derek opened the door and walked out onto the porch with Remus, putting his hands in his jacket pockets.

"Okay. I know I was a part of you getting arrested and that we basically announced you being here to the hunters. I also don't know what happened to your sister. But I think I did something last night." Remus said looking at Derek who just stared at him.

"I had a dream about.. someone. But someone else got hurt. And it turns out that part of the dream might have actually happened." Remus said.

"You think you attacked the driver?" Derek asked.

"Did you see what I did last night?"

"No." Derek said.

"Can you at least tell me the truth? Am I going to hurt someone?" Remus asked.

"Yes."

"Can I kill someone?" Remus asked.

"Yes."

"Am I gonna kill someone?" Remus asked panicking a little.

"Probably." Derek answered and Remus turned to lean on one of the porch pillars, sighing.

"Look, I can show you how to remember. I can show you how to control the shift, even on a full moon. But it's not gonna come for free." Derek said.

"What do you want?" Remus asked looking down.

"You'll find out. But for now, I'm gonna give you what you want. Go back to the bus. Go inside. See it, feel it. Let your senses-- your sight, smell, touch-- let them remember for you." Derek said.

"That's it? Just--just go back?" Remus asked.

"Do you want to know what happened?" Derek asked.

"I just want to know if I hurt him." Remus said.

"No, you don't. You want to know if you'll hurt Sirius." Derek said causing Remus to look at him.

"Hey, no, just me. Someone needs to keep watch." Remus said as both he and James walked towards the fence surrounding the school buses.

"How come I'm always the guy keeping watch?" James asked starting to climb the fence.

"Because there's only two of us." Remus said pulling James down off of the fence.

"Okay, why's it starting to feel like your Batman and I'm Robin? I don't want to be Robin all the time." James said.

"Nobody's Batman and Robin any of the time." Remus said looking at James weird.

"Not even some of the time?" James asked.

"Just stay here." Remus said getting irritated.

"Oh, my god! Fine." James said and went back to sit in his jeep, Remus started to climbed the fence.

Remus got over the fence and jumped down landing on his feet, then walking toward the bus. Remus sighed and closed his eyes trying to remember, it came back in little flashes.

Remus was laying in his bed asleep tossing and turning while he heard a howl waking him up, his eyes glowing yellow and fangs out.

Remus opened his eyes and gasped at the memory, he breathed heavily and continued to walk to the bus. He touched the door of the bus and saw his dream of Sirius screaming, he gasped and opened the door.

Remus stepped into the bus and looked towards the back of the bus then closed the door behind him. He touched the seat and got a flash of him dragging Sirius to the back of the bus, then got another flash to were it was Mr. Meyers being dragged away from him.

Remus gasped and it went away, he continued to walk towards the back of the bus and then he saw one of the seats come flying towards him. Remus threw his arms up to protect his face then realized it was another memory, he looked down and got another memory flash.

Mr. Meyers was screaming on the floor of the bus and held out a hand for him, Remus reached out to grab it. He remembered how he did infact grab Mr. Meyers' hand to help him, Remus looked up and saw a hand with a claw coming down at him. Remus snapped back from the memory and touched his chest when it felt like he got clawed in the chest.

James was sitting in his jeep then he looked up and saw the flashlight of the security guard, James laid on his car horn to get Remus' attention.

Remus looked out the window of the bus and saw the flashlight, Remus then ran out of the bus and towards the fence. Remus jumped on a red car parked by the fence and used it to jump over the fence easier. Remus did a front flip over the fence and landed on his feet on the other side, Remus then ran towards James' jeep.

"Go! Go! Go! Go!" Remus yelled as he got in and shut the door, James quickly put his jeep in reverse and backed up. He then spun his steering wheel to turn around and then he put his jeep in drive and sped off.

Remus looked back and sighed.

"Did it work? Did you remember?" James asked.

"Yeah, I was there last night. And the blood-- a lot of it was mine." Remus said.

"So you did attack him?" James asked.

"No. I saw glowing eyes in the bus, but they weren't mine. It was Derek."

"What about the driver?" James asked.

"I think I was actually trying to protect him."

"Wait, why would Derek help you remember that he attacked the driver?" James asked.

"That's what I don't get." Remus said.

"It's got to be a pack thing." James said causing Remus to look over at him.

"What do you mean?"

"Like an initiation. You do the kill together." James said.

"Cause ripping someone's throat out is a real bonding experience?" Remus asked looking at James like he was stupid.

"Yeah, but you didn't do it, which means you're not a killer. And it also means that.."

"I can go out with Sirius." Remus said with a smile.

"I was gonna say it means you won't kill me." James said.

"Oh, yeah. That too."

Sirius opened his closet and grabbed a shirt turning around to Lily with a smile, showing it to her.

"Mmm, pass." She said, Sirius turned around and grabbed a different shirt to show her.

"Pass. Let me see." Lily said then stood up and walked over to Sirius' closet.

"Pass. Pass. Uh, pass on all of it. Sirius, respect for your taste is, uh, dwindling by the second." Lily joked then looked back at his closet, Sirius laughed then Lily grabbed another shirt.

"Hmm. This." She said handing it over to Sirius who just smiled and took it, holding it up on him infront of the mirror. Then Sirius' bedroom door opened causing them both to look at who entered.

"Regulus, hey." Sirius said.

"Sorry I didn't knock, I didn't know you had someone over.." Regulus said looking at Lily who smiled at him, Regulus just looked at her then to Sirius.

"Did you need something Reggie?" Lily asked.

"I- Sirius, I was asked to tell you that you have to stay in tonight.." Regulus said ignoring Lily again.

"What? I'm going out with my friends tonight." Sirius said, causing Lily to sigh.

"Dad says not when some animal is out there attacking people." Regulus said looking over at Lily then back to Sirius.

"Dad, can bite me. I'm going out. Can you cover for me?" Sirius asked causing Regulus to shake his head no.

"No. Not again, last time I did that mother grounded us both for a month." Regulus said shaking his head more, then he looked down at the ground.

"Come on. Reg, please? You owe me, I was the one who told our parents to go easy on you when I brought you home drunk." Sirius pleaded causing Regulus to look up at him, Regulus groaned and rolled his eyes.

"Fine. But you have to sneak out by yourself I'm not helping you." Regulus said turning around going to leave his room.

"Thank you! Reggie!" Sirius said causing Regulus to flip his middle finger at him on his way out, Sirius laughed then turned to look at Lily. Sirius opened his bedroom window and climbed out standing on his roof, Lily stuck her head out the window and watched Sirius.

"What are you doing?" Lily asked and Sirius did a front flip off of the roof and landed on his feet, then he looked up at Lily.

"Eight years gymnastics. Are you coming?" Sirius whispered with a smile.

"I'll take the stairs." Lily said.

"You look like you know what you're doing." Remus said as he watched Sirius examine the bowling balls.

"Used to bowl with my little brother and my dad. When was the last time you bowled?" Sirius asked Remus.

"Uh, at a birthday party.." Remus said and Sirius smiled and went with a red bowling ball, he then walked over to Lily and Severus.

"When I was eight." Remus said quietly.

Lily was holding her pink ball and Severus came up behind her kissing her cheek causing her to laugh, Severus then helped her bowl. She missed the pins and went back to grab her ball again, they did it a again this time she hit 2 pins.

"I'm so bad at this." She said and shook her head turning around to go sit.

Sirius stood up and grabbed his, he then rolled his down the aisle and got a strike. Sirius turned around with a smile causing Remus to smile back at him, impressed.

"Somebody brought their 'A' game." Lily said with a smile getting Sirius to laugh and sit next to Remus who was still tying his bowling shoe.

"Good job." Remus said bumping Sirius' shoulder playfully getting Sirius to blush and smile more.

Severus was up next he walked up to the perfect spot and rolled his down the aisle as well, getting a strike. Lily cheered and clapped for him, Severus smirked and nodded then returned to sit next to Lily.

"You're up, Lupin." Severus said wrapping an arm around Lily.

"You can do it, Remus." Sirius said smiling at Remus, Remus gave a nervous laugh then stood up grabbing his orange ball. Remus rolled his and it went right in the gutter, causing Severus to laugh.

"Severus? Mind shutting up?" Sirius snapped at Severus who was still laughing, as Remus walked back.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm just flashing back to the words 'I'm a great bowler.'" Severus said.

"Maybe he just needs a little warm-up." Sirius said.

"Yeah, maybe he just needs the kiddy bumpers." Severus laughed and Lily just looked at him, Sirius glared at Severus then spoke to Remus.

"Just try and aim for the middle." Sirius said.

"How about you aim for anything except for the gutter?" Severus said.

"Shut up, Severus. Let him concentrate." Sirius snapped over at Severus, Remus looked over at Sirius and smiled. Sirius nodded and smiled back at him.

Remus walked back and took a deep breath and spoke to himself. "Come on, just one pin, please."

It rolled down the aisle and almost made it but it turned at the last minute and went into the gutter again.

"Ohh. Great job, Lupin. Man you're a pro." Severus said and laughed again, Remus walked up and sat back down next to Sirius.

"Don't worry. We only just started." Sirius said patting Remus' thigh getting Remus to give him a small smile.

Before he knew it, Remus was back up with his ball, he sighed and looked around. Sirius looked at him contemplating getting up or not, then he quickly stood up and walked over to Remus.

"Remus. You're thinking too much." Sirius said standing next to Remus, Remus looked back at him and gave a small smile.

"I know, I'm sorry. I'm ruining this." Remus said.

"No, no, not at all, but I wouldn't mind shutting him up, so just clear your head and think about something else." Sirius said causing Remus to sigh.

"Like what?" Remus asked.

"Anything." Sirius said hugging Remus' arm.

"Think about me." Sirius said then going to turn away he paused and went to whisper in Remus' ear with a smile.

"Naked."

Remus' eyes widened and Sirius went to go sit back down, Remus smiled then looked at the pins down the aisle and readied his ball.

He blinked then saw the pins through his heightened vision, Remus swung his arm back then let his ball roll down the aisle. It rolled all the way to the pins, getting a strike- Sirius gasped then laughed, clapping his hands together.

Severus' jaw dropped and Lilly turned towards Sirius.

"What did you say to him?" Lily asked with a smile.

"Uh, I just gave him something to think about." Sirius said smiling at Remus who sat down next to him, with a smile.

Lily turned back to Severus with a smile then it dropped when she saw him glaring at the pins.

Remus got stike, after strike-- after strike, Sirius laughed and Remus turned around to walk back and sit down.

"That is seriously amazing. Severus, uh, how many strikes is that?" Sirius asked turning to look at Lily and Severus, Lily was smiling but Severus was pissed.

"It's six. In a row." Severus said rolling his eyes.

"Something just clicked, I guess." Remus asid looking over at Sirius smiling.

"Maybe it's natural talent." Sirius said back, Lily stood up and looked at Sirius and Remus.

"I could use some natural talent. Do you mind giving me some pointers?" Lily asked.

"No, you're good. Go for it." Remus said smiling, Lily smiled then grabbed her ball and walked over to the aisle, Severus went to get up.

"Hey, I'll help." Severus said.

"How about I just try this on my own?" Lily asked and Severus nodded sitting back down. Lily walked up to the aisle then got into the perfect stance and rolled her ball down, getting a strike.

"Yes!" She said with a smile and turned back Severus, who looked at her shocked.

"I think I'm getting the hang of it." Lily said twirling her hair and sitting down, then Severus got up and grabbed his ball.

"That was sort of perfect form." Sirius said and Remus smiled.

"Was it?" Lily asked twirling her hair, Sirius leaned forward and whispered to her.

"Maybe you should stop pretending to suck just for his benefit."

"Trust me, I do plenty of sucking just for his benefit." Lily said trying not to laugh, Sirius smirked and also tried not to laugh.

Severus was playing the pin ball machine while Sirius and Lily returned their bowling shoes, Remus walked over to him just as he hit the button winning the pinball game.

"Nice shot, man." Remus said trying to be nice, only getting Severus to glare at him.

"Listen, I know we both didn't want to be here. But the thing is, we don't have to hate each other." Remus said.

"I don't hate you. I just don't believe you. You know, you've got everyone thinking everything's fine and normal about you, but I know something's off. You cheated tonight." Severus said.

"How do you cheat in bowling?" Remus asked.

"I dont know, but you did. And I don't know if it's steroids or something weirder. I'm guessing something weirder since it's pretty obvious that you're a freak. So don't think for a second I've given up on finding out what your little secret is." Severus said glaring at Remus.

"I dont have any secrets."

"Yeah, you do. And here's the other thing. I don't know why, but I think whatever it is your hiding, you don't want him to find out about it, either." Severus said looking over at Sirius, Remus looked at Severus then at Sirius who was laughing with Lily.

"Open your eyes. Open your eyes." Derek said to Mr. Meyers, and he opened his eyes.

"Look at me." Derek said and he did.

"What do you remember?" Derek asked.

"Hale." Mr. Meyers said.

"How do you know my name?" Derek asked.

"I'm sorry."

"How do you know me?" Derek asked.

"I'm sorry." He said and Derek left him.

Hope Lupin walked back out to the front desk and laughed.

"Girl, I am out of here. There's a DVR at home full of unwatched TV waiting to remind me how ridiculously single I really am." Hope said causing the other nurse to laugh then she heard an alarm beeping.

"Rose, call a code, room 137." Hope said and ran toward Mr. Meyers' room, once she got in there she was met with a flatline.

"So, uh, do you think we could hang out again soon?" Remus asked walking Sirius up to his front door.

"Definitely." Sirius said with a laugh.

"But I have to admit something. Um, I'm not big on group dates. So next time, just the two of us." Sirius said.

"I could totally handle more of that." Remus said with a smile.

"Great." Sirius said then kissed Remus, then went to walk to his front door.

"Sirius?" Remus called and pulled Sirius back by his hand, then kissed him. This kiss was longer and Sirius laughed when they pulled apart.

"And I could handle more of that." He said then gave Remus one more quick peck on the lips and walked into his house. Remus smiled then walked down the steps to leave, Remus and Sirius didn't notice but Orion was watching them through the window.

"Hey, Remus, I'm gonna go to.." Hope said walking down the hall to Remus' room and paused.

"Sleep." She said then realized he wasn't even home, she walked away from Remus' room and spoke again.

"Seriously.." she said shaking her head, then paused when she heard a thud. She turned around and walked back towards Remus' room, she then saw someone on Remus' bed. They had climbed in through the window, she grabbed Remus' bat and got ready to swing.

"W-w-wait! Oh! No, no!" James yelled and put his hands up causing Hope to scream and then he screamed too.

"James, what the hell are you doing here?" She asked.

"What am I doing? God, do either of you even play baseball?" James shouted.

"What?" Hope asked and Remus walked into his room turning on the light, Remus looked at his mom then at James.

"Can you please tell your friend to use the front door?" She asked Remus.

"But we lock the front door. He wouldn't be able to get in." Remus said and James agreed.

"Yeah, exactly. And by the way, do either of you care that there's a police-enforced curfew?" She asked looking between the boys.

"No." They both said at the same time.

"No. All right then. Well, you know what? That's about enough parenting for me for one night, so good night." She said tossing the baseball bat onto Remus' bed and walked out of the room.

"Good night, mom." Remus said and then James sighed.

"What?" He asked.

"My dad left for the hospital 15 minutes ago. It's the bus driver. They said he succumbed to his wounds." James said.

"Succumbed?" Remus asked.

"Remus, he's dead."

"Derek! I know you're here! I know what you did!" Remus yelled busting into the Hale house.

"I didn't do anything." Derek said from somewhere in the house.

"You killed him!" Remus yelled.

"He died." Derek said and Remus started walking up the stairs, looking for Derek.

"Like your sister died?"

"My sister was missing. I came here looking for her." Derek said, voice echoing throughout the house.

"You found her."

"I found her in pieces, being used as bait to catch me." Derek snapped back.

"I think you killed them both. I'm gonna tell everyone, starting with the sheriff." Remus said reaching the top of the step, Derek came up behind him and threw him down the steps. Remus tumbled down the steps and turned around, Remus roared back up at Derek.

Derek jumped from the top of the steps and landed at the bottom on his feet, Remus stood up and grabbed Derek throwing him through the wall. Derek landed on his back and spit the dust and dirt from his mouth, he brushed of the dust and wood pieces from the wall off of him then stood up.

"Huh. That was cute." Derek said then took off his jacket and walked towards Remus turning on command, Derek growled then roared- flashing his blue eyes.

Remus growled then ran towards Derek, Derek grabbed him by his shirt turning him and slamming him into the wall. Then threw him over the kitchen table, Remus got right back up and rolled out of the way as Derek jumped at him.

Derek turned around and got punched by Remus, Remus swung again and Derek caught his fist then punched Remus twice. Remus fell backwards from the force of the punches and grunted but got right back up, Remus stood on the other side of the table growling at Derek.

Derek growled back and rushed at him, Derek jumped onto the table and drop kicked Remus sending him flying into the wall. Derek rushed toward him again and Remus grabbed a piece of wood, swinging it and hitting Derek in the face.

Derek fell backwards and Remus tried to swing the piece of wood at Derek again to hit him while he's down, but Derek quickly got up and kicked Remus' feet out from under him. Derek then grabbed Remus by the neck and lifted him up then slammed him back down onto the floor, again and again.

Remus tried getting up and Derek kick him sending him flying over a smaller table, Remus jumped onto that smaller table and tried attacking Derek again. But Derek clawed his stomach causing Remus to pant and groan changing back to human.

Derek also turned back to human then turned around to look at Remus, Remus leaned onto the couch and looked over at Derek.

"I didn't kill him. Neither of us did. It's not your fault, and it's not mine." Derek said.

"This? This is all your fault! You ruined my life!" Remus yelled at Derek as he got up.

"No, I didn't."

"You're the one who bit me." Remus growled.

"No, I'm not."

"What?" Remus yelled again getting up in Derek's face.

"I'm not the one that bit you." Derek said and Remus touched his bleeding chest and was jolted with a memory, Remus sat down and looked up at Derek.

"There's another." Remus said.

"It's called an alpha. It's the most dangerous of our kind. You and I, we're betas. This thing is more powerful, more animal than either of us. My sister came here looking for him. Now I'm trying to find him. But I don't think I can do it without you."

"Why me?" Remus asked.

"Because he's the one that bit you. You're part of his pack. It's you, Remus. You're the one he wants." Derek said.

"In other news, local authorities remain perplexed by the animal attacks plaguing beacon hills." The man on the radio said causing Bellatrix to scoff and reach down to change the station, she smiled and continued to drive listening to the music.

She thought she saw something in the corner of her eye, she turned to look and saw nothing there. When she looked back towards the road she gasped and slammed on the brakes as she saw she almost blew through a stop sign, almost hitting a pick-up truck.

"Nice driving, Bella. Nice." She said to herself, sighing with relief.

Bellatrix jumped when she heard a loud clank on top of her car, she looked up at the roof of her car and reached back to her back seat. Her driver side window was smashed and she felt a hand reach in and grab at her arm, she screamed and tried to pull her arm away.

"No! No!" She yelled then grabbed her shotgun from her back seat and shot through her roof, she quickly moved to her passenger seat and fired her shot gun again.

Bellatrix then opened the passenger door and rolled out of the car, she aimed her shotgun at the top of her car and saw nothing there. She stood up and looked around.

"Come on!" She yelled and fired her shotgun into the air, she cocked it and yelled again.

"Come on!"

Bellatrix looked around then went and opened the back of her car, she grabbed her sniper rifle and lifted up the false floor in her car to grab a bullet. She grabbed a small wooden box and opened it pulling out one single bullet.

Sirius walked out of his bedroom when he heard his dad up and walking around down stairs, Sirius looked down the hall and saw Regulus also looking out into the hall way from his door as well.

They shared eye contact and walked out of their bedrooms and towards the stairs, they stopped at the top of the stairs and saw their dad walking towards the front door with a duffle bag.

"Dad?" Regulus called out causing Orion to turn around and look up at them.

"What's going on?" Sirius asked.

"Your cousin Bella just texted I'm heading out to pick her up." Orion said.

"It's 2:00 in the morning." Regulus said, rubbing his eyes.

"Is everything okay?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah, yeah. She's just having a little car trouble."

"It's not serious, is it?" Regulus asked hugging himself, shivering.

"No, just a flat tire. Go-- go back to bed, boys" Orion said and Regulus gave a small smile then walked back to his room, Sirius just stood there for a few seconds.

"Sirius, bed. Now." Orion said causing Sirius to nod and walk back to his room as well.

Derek looked down at the ground and touched the drops of blood, rubbing I into his fingers. He looked up and looked around, when he did he saw the alpha who was fully transformed on top of a roof.

They made eye contact and the alpha ran causing Derek to chase after him, Derek climbed the side of the building and got onto the roof. He then started chasing after him, Derek then went to jump from one roof to another.

Bella aimed her sniper up towards the building and saw a figure, she smirked and pulled the trigger. The bullet pierced Derek's arm and a burning sensation jolted up his arm from where the bullet had been embedded in his arm, Derek was shot out of the air hitting the roof underneath him.

Derek grunted as he hit the roof then he rolled off of it landing on the ground below, he landed on his back with a thud. Derek groaned as he felt his back crack from the harsh fall, he could then feel his back beginning to heal.

Bella smirked and put her sniper onto her shoulder, she then grabbed her flashlight and saw Orion's Tahoe pull up into the alley way. She shut off her flashlight and walked over to him.

"Get in." Orion said glaring at her.

"Not even a 'hello', 'nice to see you'?" She said back.

"All I've got at the moment is please put the sniper rifle away before someone notices." Orion said causing Bellatrix to scoff.

"That's the uncle I love. Orion there were two of them." She said.

"The alpha?"

"I dont know, but one of them tried to kill me." She answered.

"One of them is gonna lead us to the other. He can't do that if he's dead." Orion said.

"Well, I can't help kill either of them if one of them kills me first." She said shaking her head.

"How long will it take?"

"I give him 48 hours.." she said shrugging.

"If that."

Derek groaned and tried getting up but the bullet wound sent another burning sensation up his arm, so he sat himself up against a wall in the alley way.

He groaned and rolled his sleeve up to take a look at the wound, he looked down at his arm panting and saw a purple smoke coming out of the wound.

Sirius got up that morning and walked out of his room, he looked down the hall and saw their bathroom door closed. Then Regulus came out of the bathroom with his wet hair and saw Sirius looking at him, they were pulled away from their staring when Bellatrix came up the stairs.

"How was your shower, Reggie? Is there any hot water left?" Bellatrix asked picking on Regulus.

Regulus and Sirius looked at her, Sirius screamed and hugged her causing Bella to laugh. Regulus watched as they screamed and hugged each other, rolling his eyes.

"I don't see you for a year and you turn into a fricken runway model?" Bella said to Sirius as they pulled away from each other.

"Oh.." Sirius said and looked away with a smile.

"Look at you! Oh! I hate you." She said sarcastically.

"I haven't ever showered yet." Sirius said blushing and hiding his face.

"Sweetie, you're a knockout. In fact, I hope you have the boys knocking each other's teeth out for your attention." Bellatrix said pulling Sirius into another hug.

"I kind of have one." Sirius said smiling and pulling away from the hug.

"You kind of have one? Well, you should kind of have a million." Bella said getting Sirius to laugh.

Bellatrix turned to Regulus and opened her arms, Regulus looked at her with his eyebrow raised.

"What, no hug for your favorite cousin Bella?" She asked.

"Reggie isn't much of a hugger anymore." Sirius said with a small laugh, causing Bella to look at Sirius.

"What? He used to be back when he was Regina-"

"Yeah, well things change. People change." Regulus growled interrupting her and pushed past her drying his hair with his towel, She looked at Regulus then to Sirius.

"What was that about?" She asked.

"You said his dead name." Sirius said back, Bella's eyes widened and she put her hand up to her mouth.

"Oh shit. I did, didn't I?" She asked.

"Yeah.. but he'll get over it." Sirius said and they walked downstairs and into the guest bed room, Sirius sat on the bed and reached for one of Bellatrix' bags.

"Do you need help unpacking?" Sirius asked and Bellatrix grabbed his wrist stopping him from opening the bag.

"No, not that one." She said causing Sirius to pause and look at her, she sighed then laughed and let go of Sirius' wrist.

"Oh. See? You turn out beautiful, and I end up with this Kung Fu death grip. Sorry, sweetie. I didn't mean to be so rough." Bella said causing Sirius to laugh.

"No worries." Sirius said and Bella grabbed her bag and brought it into her walk-in closet.

"Hey, is everything okay with your car? " He asked.

"Uh, yeah. I just needed a jumpstart, that's all."

"A jumpstart?" Sirius asked and thought about how his dad said she had a flat tire.

"If Derek isn't the alpha, if he's not the one who bit you, then who did?" James asked, leaning forward on his desk to whisper to Remus who sat infront of him.

"I don't know." Remus said causing James to scoff.

"Did the alpha kill the bus driver?"

"I don't know." Remus answered causing James to lean back in his chair and sigh, James then looked up and leaned back towards Remus.

"Does Sirius' dad know about the alpha?"

"I don't know!" Remus snapped back glaring at James causing a couple people to look at them, Remus turned back around and James rubbed his neck shrugging the looks off.

"Jeez." James said and the teacher set his test results onto his desk, James looked down and saw a red A circled on the top of the piece of paper. James then looked up at Remus who just got his test back, James saw Remus got a D-.

"Dude, you need to study more." James said causing Remus to throw his paper on his desk and sigh.

"That was a joke. Remus, its one test you're gonna make it up. Do you want help studying?" James asked causing Remus to sigh.

"No. I'm studying with Sirius after school today." Remus said.

"That's my boy."

"We're just studying." Remus said shaking his head.

"Uh, no, you're not."

"No, I'm not?" Remus asked confused.

"Not if I'm forced to live vicariously through you. If you go to his house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I swear to god I'll have you de-balled."

"Okay. Just.. stop with the questions, man." Remus said turning back towards James.

"Done. No more questions. No more talking about the alpha or Derek. Especially Derek.. who still scares me."

Derek walked through the halls of the school feeling like he is going to pass out, someone bumped into his shoulder and he winced. Severus opened his locker and was looking for his book, when Derek looked up at him and walked over to him.

"Where's Remus Lupin?" Derek asked causing Severus to look at him and close his locker.

"Why should I tell you?"

"Because I asked you politely, and I only do that once." Derek answered.

"Hmm. Okay, tough guy. You know, how about I help you find him if you tell me what you're selling him? What is it? Is it, uh, dianabol? Hmm? HGH?" Severus asked.

"Steriods." Derek said scoffing and went to walk passed Severus.

"No, girl scout cookies. What the hell do you think I'm talking about? Oh, and, uh, by the way, whatever it is you're out selling, I'd probably stop sampling the merchandise. You look wrecked." Severus said causing Derek to look down feeling the blood dripping from his arm onto the floor.

"I'll find him myself." Derek said walking around Severus.

"No, we're not done--" Severus said grabbing Derek's shoulder, Derek slapped Severus' hand away and grabbed him by the back of his neck- slamming him into the lockers. Severus groaned Derek pulled his hand away from his neck realizing his claws were out and were embedded in Severus' neck.

Derek pulled away completely and rushed off to find Remus, Severus groaned and reached his hand back to the back of his neck. Severus looked in the direction Derek went in but couldn't spot him, he pulled his hand away from his neck and saw blood.

Derek stumbled and rested up against one of the walls in the hallway, whatever this bullet was, it was affecting his senses. He could hear teachers writing on chalkboards, students talking to their parents on the phone, girls texting each other. He then heard Lily and Sirius talking as well.

"Remus' coming over? Tonight?" Lily asked.

"We're just studying together." Sirius said with a nervous smile.

"Ha, 'Just studying' never ends with just studying. It's like.. getting into a hot tub-- somebody eventually cops a feel." Lily said walking up the stairs.

"Well, so what are you saying?" Sirius asked following her up the stairs.

"I'm just saying, you know, make sure he covers up." Lily chuckled and Sirius looked down.

"Hello, snow white! Don't do it without a condom." Lily finished causing Sirius to laugh.

"Are you kidding? After one date?" Sirius asked.

"Don't be a total prude. Give him a little taste." Lily said walking up the stairs more.

"Well, I--I mean, how much is 'a little taste' anyway?" Sirius asked looked away.

"Oh, god. You really like him, don't you?" Lily asked and Derek listened into the conversation.

"Well.. he's just different. When I first moved here I had a plan-- no boyfriends till college. I just move too much. But.. then I met him, and.. he was different. I--I don't know." Sirius said and then laughed.

"I can't explain it."

"I can. You're in love." Lily said.

"What?" Sirius laughed nervously.

"I'll tell you want to do. When is he coming over?" Lily asked.

"Right after school." Sirius said and Derek was suddenly bombarded by the school bell ringing, Derek groaned and pushed off the wall.

James walked through the doors of the school and walked out into the parking lot towards his jeep, he got to his jeep and opened the door getting in. He pulled out of his parking spot and was about to drive away when Derek walked out infront of his jeep with a hand up, James slammed on his breaks.

"Oh, my god." James said.

Remus was unhooking his bike from the bike rack when he heard a bunch of honking, he looked over and saw Derek standing infront of James' jeep.

"Oh, no, not here!" Remus said and rushed over to them, Derek fell over onto the pavement almost passing out.

"You've gotta be kidding me. This guy's everywhere." James said and looked behind him at the car that was honking at him.

"What the hell?" Remus said running up and asking James who just shrugged and got out of his jeep, Remus rushed over to Derek who sat up.

"What are you doing here?" Remus asked.

"I was shot." Derek said panting.

"He's not looking so good, dude." James said.

"Why aren't you healing?" Remus asked nervously.

"I can't. It was--it was a different kind of bullet." Derek said trying to catch his breath.

"A silver bullet?" James asked.

"No, you idiot." Derek said glaring up at James.

"Wait, wait. That what she meant when she said you had 48 hours." Remus said causing Derek to look at him.

"What? Who-- who said 48 hours?"

"The one who shot you. I was there in the alley, I saw her shoot someone. I just thought it was the alpha she shot." Remus said looking at Derek, who groaned and his eyes flickered blue. Remus looked at him shocked and looked around then spoke.

"What are you doing? Stop that!"

"I'm trying to tell you, I can't!" Derek growled and his eyes flashed blue again.

"Derek, get up!" Remus said and more honking came, then there was a crowd starting to form looking at them from a far.

Sirius was in his car and he unbuckled and got out of his car to see what was happening, so did Severus.

"Help me get him in your car." Remus said to James as he helped Derek get up, Remus got him into the jeep and closed the door.

"I need you to find out what kind of bullet they used." Derek said to Remus.

"How the hell am I supposed to do that?" Remus asked.

"Cause she's a Black. She's with them." Derek said and James stood there looking around.

"Why should I help you?" Remus asked.

"Because you need me." Derek answered.

"Fine. I'll try." Remus said glaring at Derek then looking at James, who got in his jeep and buckled.

"Get him out of here." Remus said to James.

"I hate you for this so much." James said then drove off.

"Hey. What was he doing here?" Sirius asked.

"James was just giving him a ride. Uh, long story." Remus said causing Sirius to look at him confused.

"We're still studying together right?" Remus asked getting Sirius to smile.

"Yeah."

"So I'll meet you back at your place?" Remus asked.

"Yeah."

"Okay, bye." Remus said and kissed Sirius on the cheek then rushing over to his bike.

"See you later." Sirius said quietly then walked back to his car.

Severus watched as Remus ran back to his bike, Remus felt someone looking at him so he turned his head to look. He and Severus made eye contact and then several seconds later Severus turned around and got back into his car.

Sirius pulled into his drive way and Remus stopped on his bike right infront of Sirius' car, Sirius got out of his car and looked at Remus confused.

"How did you-- you got here the same time I did." Sirius said and walked around the front of his car to stand next to Remus.

"Oh. Yeah, I--I-- I just took a shortcut. Really short, short cut." Remus said with a smile. And then walked up to Sirius' front door.

"What is going on with you today? You're acting all kinds of bizarre." Sirius said turning back to Remus sighed and took off his bike helmet.

"I'm just.. stressing about classes. I'm not doing as good this year." Remus said causing Sirius to crack a tiny smile.

"Not doing as well."

"See? Exactly." Remus said with a small chuckle.

"Maybe we should start with english?" Sirius joked and opened his door, causing Remus to laugh.

Sirius walked into the house and turned towards Remus who was looking around the foyer nervously, Sirius smiled then spoke.

"Don't worry! No body's gonna be home for hours. My dad's out getting groceries with my cousin, and my mother and brother are at the hospital. Come on." Sirius said looking at Remus.

"Okay." Remus said and walked into the house, Sirius smiled bigger and closed the door. Sirius then walked up the stairs, Remus following shortly behind him.

Sirius opened his bedroom door and they both walked in, Remus looked around his room then shut the bedroom door.

"I'm still unpacking." Sirius said setting his stuff down on his bed.

"Uh.. Haven't you been here for, like, over a month?" Remus asked.

"I'm taking my time." Sirius said looking back at Remus with a smile, Remus smiled back and walked to the end of Sirius' bed and set his backpack on the floor. Then they both took off their jackets as Remus spoke.

"Hey, um.. so, uh, I figure that we.. start with, um, history.." Remus said turning around and seeing that Sirius was standing really close to him, Sirius brought his hand up to the side of Remus' neck.

"I say we start with chemistry.." Sirius said then kissed Remus.

Remus put his hands on Sirius' waist and pulled him closer, kissing back. Remus sat on Sirius' bed and Sirius climbed onto the bed straddling Remus' thighs, still kissing him.

Sirius pulled back for a second and smiled at Remus before diving back in for another kiss, as they continued to kiss Remus laid back on Sirius bed and Sirius was now on top of him.

Remus smiled into the kiss and ran his hand down Sirius' waist to his hip, then to the small of his back. Remus pulled back from the kiss as he felt his nails growing into claws, Remus panicked and shoved his hand under the blanket on the bed.

"What's wrong?" Sirius asked also pausing to look at him.

"Um.. nothing. I just-- I--I.. don't wanna make you feel like you have to do something you don't wanna do." Remus said.

"I'm not doing anything I don't wanna do. Are you?" Sirius asked with a smile.

"You seriously asking me that question?" Remus asked causing Sirius to laugh, Sirius went in for another kiss and Remus' phone started ringing.They kissed then Remus turned towards his phone.

"Are you gonna answer that?" Sirius asked.

"Um, uh, it's probably just James. It'll go to voice mail. Eventually." Remus said going in to kiss Sirius as his phone was still ringing, Sirius smiled into the kiss then reached for Remus' phone.

"Wait!" Remus said and touched Sirius' hand to stop him, Sirius sat up and looked down at Remus. Remus looked at his hand and saw his claws were gone and grabbed his phone.

"Um.. uh, yeah, I should answer now." Remus said looking back at Sirius who just gave a small smile, he opened his texts and saw James' text that said 'did you find it yet?'.

Derek had took off his jacket and wrapped it around his bleeding arm, James felt his phone vibrate and he sighed pulling it out to look at the text.

'Need more time.' James sighed and threw his phone down.

"Hey, try not to bleed out on my seats, okay? We're almost there." James said.

"Almost where?"

"Your house." James said causing Derek to look over at him.

"What? No, you can't take me there." Derek said causing James to scoff.

"I can't take you to your own house?"

"Not when I can't protect myself." Derek said causing James to sigh, James then pulled over and shut off his jeep.

"What happens if Remus doesn't find your little magic bullet? Hmm? Are you dying?" James asked getting frustrated.

"Not yet. I have a last resort."

"What do you mean? What last resort?" James said with a laugh, and Derek lifted up his shirt sleeve, blood oozing out of his wound.

"Oh, my god. What is that? Oh, is that contagious? You know what, you should probably just get out." James said gagging.

"Start the car. Now."

"I don't think you should be barking orders with the way you look, okay? In fact, I think if I wanted to, I could probably drag your little werewolf ass out into the middle of the road and leave you for dead." James yelled.

"Start the car, or I'm gonna rip your throat out.. with my teeth." Derek said looking at James, they stared at each other for 3 seconds then James turned to look the other way. James sighed then started the car glancing over at Derek.

"It's off. Sorry about that." Remus said and Sirius moved to sit next to him, Remus smiled at him then looked down into the box next to the bed.

Remus saw a picture of Sirius' family and picked it up, Remus pointed at the two girls standing next to Sirius in the picture.

"Who are they?" Remus asked.

"That's my cousin Bellatrix, but we call her Bella. Although she's more like my sister, she got here last night." Sirius said with a smile pointing at the girl with long black curly hair.

"And that's Regulus. Well, before he transitioned." Sirius said pointing at the shorter black haired girl who wasn't smiling for the picture.

"Regulus is.."

"Trans? Yes. But no one outside our family knows so don't say anything." Sirius said looking up at Remus.

"Why are you telling me then?" Remus asked.

"Because I don't like lying to you, and plus it's kinda hard not to tell that, that's Regulus right there.. can't you recognize that scowl anywhere?" Sirius asked and laughed causing Remus to laugh.

"You've got a point there.." Remus said laughing then put the picture down and saw some more pictures.

"These are really good. Did you take these?" Remus asked looking through them and Sirius chuckled.

"That's back when I thought I was a photographer."

"They're good." Remus said.

"No, they're not. I stopped when I realized I was terrible at it. Framing's off, bad lighting.. believe me not good." Sirius said snatching the photos from Remus, Remus looked down and grabbed a piece of paper out of the box.

"That was when I thought I was good at painting. Uh, terrible too." Sirius said taking the painting from Remus too, Remus then grabbed a folder that said 'poetry' on it.

"That's when I tried poetry. 'Terrible' doesn't even come close to describing that." Sirius said looking over at Remus with a smile.

"What are you good at?"

"I'm gonna show you if you promise not to laugh." Sirius said causing Remus to smile.

"So I was nationally ranked as a kid, and my dad really wanted me to go on, but I don't know." Sirius said as he and Remus walked into their garage.

"I just didn't really like it. Promise you won't laugh?" Sirius asked as Remus was too busy looking around the garage.

"I promise." Remus said then looked over at Sirius and jumped as he was met with him holding a archery bow.

"What the hell is that?" Remus asked.

"It's a compound bow, and I'm pretty sure it requires and arrow to be harmful." Sirius said and Remus took a step back.

"So that's what you're good at. Archery." Remus said.

"You said you wouldn't laugh."

"Trust me, I'm.." Remus said then paused as he looked at the wall of the garage and saw a whole ass arsenal on the wall.

"Not laughing." Remus finished and walked towards the wall of guns.

"So I guess I should explain. We're not some sort of separatist gun-nut family. My dad sells firearms to the law enforcement." Sirius said walking over with Remus.

"Oh, that's good. So, um.. are you planning on joining the family business?" Remus asked looking over at Sirius.

"I don't know. You tell me. Would I look hot with a gun?" Sirius asked and pulled Remus closer to him putting Remus' hands on his waist.

"You're hotter without." Remus said kissing Sirius, but they both jumped at the sound of the door to the house being opened. Then both got down to hide behind Orion's red Tahoe.

"Hey, Orion! Get your ass out of the '50s and come help with the groceries." Bella yelled.

"Be right there!" Orion yelled back then leaned on the back of the Tahoe looking down at Sirius and Remus, they both looked up at him.

"Would you mind helping?" He asked.

"Sure." Sirius answered.

"No problem." Remus said and Orion smiled down at them.

"Great."

Remus grabbed the last bag of groceries from Bella's car and sighed, when he looked up at the front door Orion walked out and reached for the bag.

"Thank you." Orion said taking then bag, Remus nodded and his phone chimed, telling him he had gotten a text. Remus pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked at the text from James.

'Derek not looking good.'

Sirius walked out of the house looking down at Remus, Remus looked up at him and smiled.

"So do you still wanna study?" Remus asked.

"I think he'll concentrate better on his own." Orion answered for Sirius, Sirius looked down then looked at Remus.

"Um.. guess I'll see you later then?" Remus asked looking up at Sirius.

"At school." Orion answered again causing Sirius to roll his eyes and look over at his dad.

"Right." Remus said turning towards his bike but stopped when Sirius spoke.

"Remus.."

"Eh, eh, you, on your bike, you inside." Orion said pointing at Remus then at Sirius, causing Sirius to sigh.

"Oh, come on, Orion. Really? They were making out in the garage, not shooting amateur porn." Bella said walking up to them after shutting her car door.

"You, with the adorable hazel eyes, drop your bike. You're staying for dinner." Bella said rubbing Remus' shoulder then smiling at Sirius, she then walked up the steps and inside the house.

Sirius looked at Remus gave a quick nervous smile then followed Bella into the house, Orion watched them walk into the house then looked down at Remus.

"Do you eat meat?" Orion asked him and Remus just quickly nodded, then walked up the steps.

"You don't mind?" Remus asked Orion.

"Actually, no. It'll give us a chance to get to know each other." Orion said gripping Remus' shoulder and they walked into the house.

They were all sitting at the dinner table, Remus was sitting next to Sirius, Regulus sat across from Remus and Bella next to Regulus. While Sirius' parents sat at either ends of the table.

"Would you like something else to drink besides water, Remus?" Walburga, Sirius' mom asked.

"Oh.. no, I'm good. Thanks." Remus answered with a smile.

"Can we get you some beer?" Orion asked causing Sirius to glare at him.

"N-No, thanks." Remus answered.

"Shot of tequila? Orion asked causing Sirius to drop his fork onto his plate on accident, he quickly picked it up.

"Dad. Really?" Sirius asked glaring at him.

"You don't drink, Remus?" Orion asked ignoring Sirius, Regulus looked in between Remus and Orion taking a drink of his water.

"I'm not old enough to." Remus said and Sirius ran his fingers through his own hair.

"That doesn't seem to stop many teenagers." Walburga said chiming in.

"No, but it should." Remus said grabbing his water and taking a drink.

"Good answer." Regulus said sarcastically under his breath and rolling his eyes, Remus looked at Regulus then to Bella who spoke next.

"Total lie, but well played, Remus." Bella said taking a bite of her steak.

"You may just survive the night." Regulus said picking at his food with his fork.

"Regulus. Stop playing with your food and eat." Walburga hissed looking at Regulus, Remus looked over at Regulus and watched him straighten up and put food in his mouth.

"You ever smoke pot?" Orion asked causing Remus to quickly look at him as Sirius choked on his water.

"Okay, changing the subject to something a little less conservative." Bella said laughing, while Sirius was glaring at his dad.

"So, Remus, uh.. Sirius tells us you're on the lacrosse team with Regulus." She said to Remus who just nodded.

"I'm sorry. I don't know anything about that. How do you play?" She asked.

"Um, well, you know hockey?" Remus asked getting Bella to nod.

"It's a lot like that, only, um played on grass instead of ice." Remus answered.

"Hockey on grass.. it's called field hockey." Regulus said smiling causing Sirius to look at him and kick his shin under the table, Regulus then looked at Sirius and his smile dropped.

"Oh, Yeah." Remus said.

"So it's like field hockey, except the sticks have nets." Sirius said turning to Remus smiling.

"Exactly" Remus said smiling back then his phone chimed again, Remus looked down at his phone and read the text.

'Call me' James' text said.

"And can you slap check like hockey?" Bella asked.

"Yes." Regulus said.

"She wasn't asking you Regulus, let Remus answer." Walburga said looking at Regulus who just looked at her then down at his food, and Remus just glanced at Sirius.

"Um.. yeah. But its only the, uh, the gloves and the sticks." Remus answered.

"Sounds violent. I like it." Bella said looking at Orion.

"Remus' amazing too. Dad came with me to the first game he and Regulus had." Sirius said and turned to his dad then speaking again.

"Wasn't he good?" He asked his dad.

"He was fine." Orion said.

"He scored the last shot, the winning shot." Sirius said to Bella with a smile.

"True, but he didn't score at all until the last few minutes. Regulus scored the first shot." Orion said looking at Regulus who let a small smile form on his face.

"His last shot ripped a hole right through the goalie's net. It was incredible." Sirius said laughing.

"Well, I think the goalie was properly playing with a defective stick, so.." Orion said and Sirius set his glass on the kitchen table hard. Remus could hear Sirius' heart beat picking up so he reach his hand over to Sirius' hand under the table, interlocking their fingers as he spoke again.

"You know, on second thought, um.. I think I'll take that shot of tequila." Remus said joking, causing Bella and Sirius to laugh and a smile to form on Regulus' face. Then everyone laughed.

"You were kidding, right?" Orion asked taking a drink of his Scotch.

"Yeah, absolutely." Remus said with a smile.

"What am I supposed to do with him?" James asked into the phone.

"Take him somewhere, anywhere." Remus said as he finally got away from everyone.

"And, by the way, he's starting to smell." James said dramatically causing Derek to look over at him.

"Like--Like what?"

"Like death." James said.

"Okay, take him to the animal clinic." Remus said.

"What about your boss?" James asked.

"He's gone by now. There's a spare key in the box behind the dumpster." Remus said and heard James sigh on the other end.

"You're not gonna believe where he's telling me to take you." James said handing the phone over to Derek who took it.

"Did you find it?" Derek asked into the phone quietly like he couldn't get his voice to be any louder.

"How am I supposed to find one bullet? They have a million. This house is like the fricken Walmart of guns." Remus said.

"Look if you don't find it, then I'm dead, all right?" Derek said.

"I'm starting to think that wouldn't be such a bad thing." Remus argued back.

"Then think about this. The alpha called you out against your will. He's gonna do it again. Next time you either kill with him or you get killed. So if you wanna stay alive, then you need me. Find the bullet." Derek said and hung up the phone, Remus sighed and put his phone in his pocket.

Remus then looked at a door and went to open it, when it opened an alarm went off. Remus quickly shut the door and panicked, he turned around and saw Bella standing there staring at him.

"You look like a little lost puppy." Bella said smiling at him.

"Um.. just looking for the bathroom."

"Bathroom? Does that look like a bathroom?" She asked and Remus turned to look at the door then looked back at her shaking his head.

"No." Remus said and she laughed.

"Use the guest bedroom." She said pointing down the hall.

"Okay. Thanks." Remus said then walked towards the guest bedroom, and Bella watched him go in there. Remus opened the door and looked back at her and she walked away, Remus flicked on the light and then closed the door.

He looked down at the bed and saw a duffle bag underneath it, he pulled the duffle bag out from under the bed and unzipped it. He found a wooden box and pulled it out of the bag, he opened the box and saw a variety of bullets neatly packed inside. But none of them were missing just one bullet, so he grabbed the smaller box inside with a flower painted on it.

Remus opened the small box and saw there were only nine bullets inside, so the box was missing one. He grabbed one and examined it then put it into his pocket, he then closed the box and when he went to put it back but he saw something in french written on the top of it.

He pulled his phone out and took a picture of it, then used his phone to translate it. It said 'nordic blue monkshood' Remus put his phone back in his pocket then put the box back in the bigger box. Then he put that box back in the duffle bag.

James opened the back shutter door of the animal clinic and flicked on the light, Derek stumbled in and sat down on some of the dog food bags. James got a text from Remus and then he turned to Derek reading the text.

"Does northern blue monkshood mean anything to you?" James asked.

"It's a rare form of wolfsbane. He has to bring me the bullet." Derek said holding his arm.

"Why?" James asked.

"Because I'm gonna die without it."

"Hey, um, I should get going. Um, thanks for dinner." Remus said as he walked back into the dining room.

"Oh, no, no, no, no. You have to stay for dessert. I wanna know more about you. Sit down." Bella said with a smile.

"Okay." Remus said and sat back down next to Sirius.

"Sirius was just telling us that you work for a veterinarian." Walburga said.

"I told them how you put the cast on the dog I hit." Sirius said smiling at Remus.

"Yeah." Remus said smiling back at Sirius, then he got another text he looked down at his phone and read it.

'You need to get here NOW'

"What does your boss think of the animal attacks? Any theories?" Orion asked Remus, who looked up from his phone.

"Everyone was just saying it's a mountain lion." Remus said and Bellatrix laughed.

"It'd have to be a pretty large mountain lion." Bella said and Walburga smiled at her then turned to Remus.

"What do you think, Remus?" Walburga asked.

"Yeah, what do you think, Remus?" Regulus said mocking his mother who just glared at him.

"I don't know. We usually get cats and dogs at the vet. Nothing that vicious." Remus said looking at Sirius' mother.

"Never had to deal with a rabid dog?" Orion asked and Remus just shook his head.

"Oh. I grew up with a lot of dogs. I saw one get rabies from a bat. It was transferred through the bite." Orion said and Bella looked at him then took a drink of her wine.

"You know, people think that a rabid dog just suddenly goes mad. It's a lot more gradual. First stage is subtle changes in behavior-- they're restless, morose. It's the second stage that people know-- the furious phase. That's when they attack. And we're talking any moving object." Orion said and Remus looked at him then to Sirius who was looking down at his empty plate.

"Did you know that a caged rabid dog will break it's own teeth, trying to chew through the bars?" Orion asked and Remus just shook his head, then Remus looked over at Regulus who was looking down at his hands looking like he was going to throw up.

"It'll even rear back and snap its own spine. Can you imagine the amount of force it would take to do that? It's complete character reversal. This harmless animal.. turned into a perfectly vicious killer. And it all started with that one bite." Orion said then Regulus quickly got up causing everyone to look at him.

"Excuse me." Regulus said quietly and left the dining room.

"But it died, didn't it?" Sirius said trying to hide his teary eyes.

"Yes, because your grandfather shot it." Walburga said.

"Because he wanted to put it out of it's misery." Sirius said.

"Because it was too dangerous. Something that out of control is better off dead." Orion said continuing like Regulus didn't even leave the room, Remus just looked at Orion and gulped.

"Well, okay." James said helping Derek into the clinic patient room and flicked on the light, Derek stumbled towards the table and took off his shirt. Derek stood by the table and rested his injured arm on the table.

"You know, that really doesn't look like anything some echinacea and a good night of sleep couldn't take care of." James said trying to lighten the mood.

"When the infection reaches my heart, it'll kill me." Derek said turning towards the cabinets looking through them.

"Positivity just isn't in your vocabulary, is it?

"If he doesn't get here with the bullet in time.. last resort." Derek said now looking in the drawers.

"Which is?" James asked and Derek found what he was looking for, he turned around with a bone saw.

"You're gonna cut off my arm." Derek said and James' jaw dropped."

Sirius came down the stairs with Remus' backpack and handed it to Remus with a small smile.

"I'm so incredibly sorry." Sirius said.

"For what?"

"For that being the worst, most horribly awkward dinner ever in the history of awkward dinners." Sirius said turning to look at Remus, leaning up against the front door.

"No. Uh, it wasn't the worst. There was this one dinner where my parents told me they were getting a divorce. This comes in at a close second." Remus said getting Sirius to smile and push off of the door and look at Remus' lips.

"Your dad's watching." Remus said looking into their kitchen.

"Good." Sirius whispered and kissed Remus, then he took a step back and Remus opened the door to leave but got stopped by Bella.

"Wait a second, guys." She said causing Remus to close the door.

"What is it?" Sirius asked.

"Uh, I have to ask Remus something." She said

"Me?"

"Yeah, you." She said crossing her arms.

"Okay."

"Uh.. What'd you take from my bag?" She asked.

"What?" Remus said trying to act confused, Sirius rolled his eyes and looked away.

"My bag. What'd you take from it? Do you need me to repeat the question, maybe enunciate more clearly?" She asked.

"What are you talking about?" Orion asked now walking into the foyer.

"My bag was open in the quest room, and when I left it was shut. And Remus comes in the use the bathroom, he leaves, my bag's open." She explained and Sirius looked at Remus.

"He didn't take--" Sirius tried to say but was interrupted by Bellatrix.

"Something was taken from my bag. Now, look.. I hate to be the accuser here, Remus, because I really do love those adorable hazel eyes, but I don't know if you're a klepto, if you're curious, or--or if you're just stupid. But answer the question. What did you take?" She asked again.

"Nothing. I swear." Remus said shrugging.

"You don't mind proving it, do you?" She asked.

"Are you serious?" Sirius asked.

"How about you show us what's in your pockets?" Bella asked.

"Dad?" Sirius tried pleading looking at his dad.

"Come on, Remus. Prove me wrong." She said with a smirk.

"Uh, I'll prove you wrong." Sirius said causing both Bella and his dad to look at him.

"Uh, it wasn't Remus going through your bags it was me." Sirius said.

"You?" Bella asked raising an eyebrow.

"Mm-hmm, me." Sirius said and pulled out a condom showing it to Bella and Orion, who just stared at it. Remus' jaw dropped and he looked at the door, shocked.

Remus then walked out of the house and walked down the front steps, Remus paused and looked back at the door. He turned around and smiled, he then grabbed his bike and got on riding away from the house.

Derek put the bone saw on the table and slid it over to James who picked it up examining it, he turned it on and put it back on the table.

"Oh, my god." James said looking away from it, as Derek was starting to tie a turnicate around his arm.

"What if you bleed to death?" James asked.

"It'll heal if it works." Derek said as he held one of the ends of his turnicate in his mouth.

"Ugh. Look.. I don't know if I can do this."

"Why not?" Derek growled.

"Well, because of the cutting through the flesh, the sawing of the bone, and especially the blood!" James said causing Derek to sigh as he finished tying the turnicate.

"You faint at the sight of blood?"

"No, but I might at the sight of a chopped-off arm!" James snapped back causing Derek to sigh again.

"All right, fine. How about this? Either you cut off my arm, or I'm gonna cut off your head."

"Okay, you know what. I'm so not buying your threats any--" James said then Derek grabbed him by the front of his shirt and pulling up closer causing him to lean over the table.

"Oh, my god. Okay. All right, bought, sold. Totally. I'll do it." James said then looked at Derek who made a gagging noise.

"What? What are you doing?" James asked then Derek vomited some sort of black substance onto the floor.

"Holy god, what the hell is that?" James asked whinning at the sight of it.

"It's my body.. trying to heal itself." Derek said groaning.

"Well, it's not doing a very good job of it." James said trying not to vomit as well.

"Now. You gotta do it now." Derek said quietly.

"Look honestly I don't think I can."

"Just do it!" Derek yelled.

"Oh, my god. Okay, okay." James said then grabbed the bone saw and put it on Derek's arm.

"Oh, my god. All right, here we go!" James yelled back.

"James?" Remus called out causing James to look towards the door in hope.

"Remus?" James asked and Remus came around the corner stopping to look at them, Derek leaning over the table and James with a bone saw to his arm.

"What the hell are you doing?" Remus yelled stepping into the room, causing James to give a laugh of relief and put the bone saw down.

"Oh, you just prevented a life time of nightmares." James said.

"Did you get it?" Derek asked standing up, Remus dug in his pocket and pulled out the bullet. Remus then handed Derek the bullet and Derek held it up to look at it.

"What are you gonna do with it?" James asked Derek who looked like he was on the verge of passing out.

"I'm gonna.." Derek said then swayed on his feet then he indeed passed out, dropping the bullet causing it to roll onto the floor and down one of the drains in the room.

"No. No, no, no." Remus said and rushed after the bullet, as Derek fell onto the floor. Remus stuck his fingers into the drain and James rushed over to Derek.

"Derek. Derek, come on, wake up. Remus what the hell are we gonna do?" James asked slapping Derek's face.

"I don't know! I can't reach it." Remus said.

"He's not waking up!" James yelled over to Remus, who was trying to reach the bullet that was inside the drain.

"Come on." Remus said still struggling.

"I think he's dying. I think he's dead." James said.

"Just hold on!" Remus said then paused thinking about his claws.

"Come on." He said then felt his finger nails grow, he then grabbed the bullet.

"Oh! I got it! I got it!" Remus yelled and James looked at him then at Derek.

"Please don't kill me for this." James said then punched Derek waking him up.

"Ugh! Ow! God!" James yelled and backed away from Derek rubbing his fist.

"Give me.." Derek said and Remus handed the bullet to him and helped him up, Remus got Derek up and to the table.

Derek bit the bullet- breaking it open, then he repeatedly tapped it on the table getting the powder out of it. Remus and James then watched him light the powder on fire, it sparked up causing them all to back up a little.

Derek brushed it off of the table and into his hand, he then put it on his arm and rubbed it into the wound. Remus winced back then watched as Derek groaned and fell over onto the ground groaning and grunting in pain, Derek screamed in pain which turned into a roar.

Derek' infection then suddenly healed, and Remus and James watched in shock then James spoke up.

"That.. was.. awesome! Yes!" James yelled and Remus looked at James weird then looked at Derek who sat up.

"Are you okay?" Remus asked.

"Well, except for the agonizing pain." Derek said standing up.

"I'm guessing the ability to use sarcasm is a good sign of health." James said getting a glare from Derek which caused James to take a step back.

"Okay, we saved your life, which means you're gonna leave us alone, you got that? And if you don't, I'm gonna go to Sirius' dad, and I'm tell him everything--"

"You're gonna trust them? You think they can help you?" Derek asked interrupting Remus.

"Well, why not? They're a lot freaking nicer than you are." Remus snapped back.

"I can show you exactly how nice they are." Derek said causing Remus to look at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

"What are we doing here?" Remus asked as he and Derek got out of Derek's camaro. Derek didn't answer him just kept walking causing Remus to just follow him into the beacon hills crossing home. The long term care facility.

Derek opened the door to one of the patient's room and walked in, Remus following after him.

"Who is he?" Remus asked looking at the man sitting in the wheelchair staring off into space.

"My uncle. Peter Hale." Derek said.

"Is he.. like you, a werewolf?"

"He was. Now he's barely even human. Six years ago, my sister and I were at school, and our house caught fire. 11 people were trapped inside. He was the only survivor." Derek said looking down at Peter.

"So.. what makes you so sure that they set the fire?" Remus asked looking at Derek.

"Cause they're the only ones that knew about us." Derek said finally looking at Remus.

"Well, then.. they had a reason." Remus said getting Derek to glare at him.

"Like what? You tell me what justifies this." Derek said and turned Peter showing Remus the other side of Peter's face which was covered in burns, Remus' eyes widened.

"They say they'll only kill an adult, and only with absolute proof, but there were people in my family that were perfectly ordinary in that fire." Derek said and Remus' gaze snapped over to Derek.

"This is what they do. And it's what Sirius and his brother will do." Derek said.

"What are you doing? How did you get in here?" A nurse said walking in the room.

"We were just leaving."

Sirius walked out of his house and waited for his phone to stop ringing, waiting for Remus to answer but it went to voice mail.

"Hey. Um.. I just thought maybe I'd catch you before you went to sleep, but, uh.. I wanted to say sorry again for tonight. So.. call me." Sirius said then went to walk back inside when he heard glass under his shoe.

Sirius looked over at Bella's car and saw glass on her driver side window, he picked up one of the shards of glass and examined it. So first his dad says flat tire, then Bellatrix said she needed a jumpstart and now he was finding shards of glass on her car.

'What really happened?' He thought then turned back to go inside.

"The one that attacked me was big. It had width and power. But the one I shot was lean and fast." Bella said pacing around the living room by the fireplace.

"Well, that would be Derek Hale." Orion said.

"Are you sure?"

"Mostly." Orion said taking a sip of his drink.

"Well, how do we know it's just the two of 'em?" She asked.

"We don't yet. But if Derek's still alive, if. He will lead us to the alpha." Orion said as Bella added gas to the fireplace.

"Take the pack leader, and then take the pack." Bella said.

"And we do it according to the code." Orion said and Bella scoffed.

"You and the code."

"It's there for a reason, Bellatrix." He said.

"Of course." She said and lit a match with her nail and threw it into the fire place causing it to catch fire.

"I always play by the rules." She said with a smirk, winking at Orion.
